Which is huge as I'm VERY cautious and picky about having their care in someone else's hands. But the staff at NYCPS is absolutely phenomenal. C & C attend daycare regularly and love it. They play, they socialize, they get cuddles, and by the time they're home they're exhausted I also want to say I have the two smallest dogs that attend daycare regularly, and have had 0 issues with larger dog's temperaments (if tiny dog owners had the same question/concern as me). The seasonal photoshoots have to be one of my favorite perks/services - Beth is incredible at 1) having the dogs stay calm and focused for the picture 2) creating awesome seasonal backdrops/sets 3) taking the actual pictures 4) editing them! The quality of pictures is something my friends and family always comment on. See for yourself! I've also utilized drop off services when I've been unable to pick my babies up before close and have had 0 issues as well. I really trust the staff I could say so so much more and talk about the awesome calendar, the Halloween party, and so much more, but I'd be typing forever lol. First off, they squeezed us in because we have a photo shoot coming up for the holidays and our pup was hairy to say the least. The owner, Joanie was so accommodating. She was also reassuring to my husband who was a little anxious about our dogs first grooming. Both her and the groomer took extra care of our 4 month old puppy and you can feel the love they have for all their dogs. They're amazing! Our puppy looked like a new dog in the best way, and they somehow managed to get him to wear a bandana. It's a miracle!

WARNING: My dog Murray was killed while under the care of Robyn and her incompetent dog walker. Any…read moreone who hires them is doing so at their pets risk. The walker's name was Melanie - I complained about her, to Robyn saying I wasn't happy with care, that different walkers came without my knowledge, and that on days when I was home Melanie wasn't walking Murray at the set time. I also noticed that Murray started urinating in the house under Melanies care. Robyn responded the that Melanie was the only walker she had for my neighborhood. I should have dumped her on that day. On a rainy day a few weeks later, I got a frantic call at work from Robyn saying there had been an accident and that I should get home quickly. She said she was on her way to my home. Long story short - my dog was hit by a car. My neighbors ran over to help my dog, but Melanie did nothing. She didn't call the police, she didn't administer CPR or first aid, she didn't put my dog in her car and get him the the vet - she just called Robyn. My neighbor took Murray to the vet in his truck. Before 11/16/11 Home Pet Services took care of 4 dogs in my building. On 11/17/11 they took care of zero. Oh, Robyn did pay for Murray"s cremation.

When I learned that Jay opened his own shop, I was ecstatic! My twins have also been going to him since they were puppies, and they're 8 years old now. Over the years, I've tried a few other places, particularly when Jay's shop was closed for renovations, but I always end up returning to Jay because of his consistent quality. My twins are miniature schnauzers, and they can be quite whiny and yappy with their high-pitched voices, but Jay has always handled them with love and care. Even if I'm a few weeks late in bringing them in, leading to some matting, Jay never makes me feel like a bad dog mom. Jay was the one who suggested I get my oldest dog's eye checked out because he noticed something concerning. He was right, and it turned out to be an autoimmune disease. I'm very thankful for his keen eye; my dog lived a long, good life, passing at 15. Today, I had my twins groomed. Jay noticed a bump under my girl twin's arm and immediately informed me, reassuring me not to worry but to have it checked by the vet. He mentioned that it might just be due to age. Jay has always been exceptionally kind to my dogs, consistently excellent with grooming, quick, and easy to book appointments with. He's a wonderful person to work with, and I'm so grateful to have him in my neighborhood. My pups are well-groomed every 6-8 weeks, and I couldn't be happier with his services. Thank you, Jay, for your hard work and dedication. Grooming is no easy task--I know because I tried during the pandemic--so we truly appreciate you! We will forever be your loyal customers.
