Going back to the office full-time, I was worried about how my dog would handle being home alone all week. I'm so thankful I found Happy Pets because they are great! The app they use makes it easy to book appointments and chat with your walker. The walkers we've had have been wonderful. Definitely recommend them. read more

Amazing place. They took such good care of my senior dog. Would recommend to anyone looking for boarding.

We've used Happy Pets to walk our dog for the last 2 years. They are an amazing company that carefully selects their pet caretakers who clearly love animals and are dedicated to the job. We have had 3 walkers with them and each has been very trustworthy and responsible with our little guy. They walk each dog individually which was great for my dog who loves to get all the human attention to himself. It also allowed him the time and space to do all his business which did not happen when he was walked with multiple dogs (other company we used). We have never had a single issue with any walker in the last 2 years which I cannot say we experienced when we were in Brooklyn. They also have a great app where you can request and cancel appointments with ease as well as view pictures and comments from each walk. We also used them for various in home pet sitting over the years which worked out beautifully. The rates for both walking and sitting were competitive with the area. Overall, if you are looking for a dedicated walker or sitter to care for your pet this is the only place to look in Forest Hills! read more

states the call back time is 4 hours. it has been 3 days. no response. how would one reach you?

I've been using Happy Pets for the last 3 months and will continue to use them. Maura, Rollys sitter is the best. Rolly adores her (i have a pet camera and occasionally i look and see how loving she is with him, he is all over her and she showers him with attention). I am happy knowing that Rolly is in good hands with someone who genuinely loves cats. And I appreciate her patience as my cat has a very sensitive stomach and doesn't like it when I'm away so she's always keeping me informed when he vomits and takes the time to clean it up. I never feel overwhelmed or worried when Maura is around. Keep up the great work! They have this great app where you receive alerts when the appointment starts/ends and the sitter gives you updates and pictures!! Thank you Happy Pets! read more

We have used Happy Pets for our dog Josie since 2015 and have always been very satisfied with the service. We have had daily walks and vacation sitters who have both stayed in the apartment or visited 4 times a day while we were away. All of our assigned walkers and sitters have been courteous, kind and professional. Now that we are moving out of the Forest Hills area, I can only hope we find a dog walking service as flexible and responsive as Jamie's Happy Pets! read more

"I am so happy I booked dog sitting services with Happy Pets. My dog Angel is a devoted companion dog and going away I needed the assurance of absolute professionalism, compassionate doggy-care, and accountability and I got it. The daily reports and photos of my darling dog while I was away was a tremendous reassurance. I was able to relax and enjoy my week-long vacation. Thank you Happy Pets!!" Nancy Agababian read more

Happy Pets has been by far one of the best decisions I've made for my dog. We've been using Happy Pets for about 3 months now (five days a week). My boyfriend and I work a lot of hours, and we knew we needed to invest in a dog walker. Our pup gets anxious when she is alone and will cry and yelp (and our neighbors were sure to let us know) once we leave for the day. I contacted Happy Pets and Jamie came to our apartment on Sunday to meet us and our dog and she asked a ton of questions about her - temperament, food preferences, how she is with other animals/people, what her favorite toys/games are - everything! She set us up with a temporary walker for the first few weeks before our permanent walker, Natasha, started. All in all - I cannot say enough good things about Happy Pets. Our pup is so much happier during the day (our neighbors don't complain anymore) and it feels great knowing she is taken care of so well. There have been a few times where my boyfriend or I have returned from travelling for work when Natasha or Michael (one of our fill-ins) gets there or gets back from the walk, and our dog is happy and excited to see them. And honestly, our dog's "review" is the only one that really matters at the end of the day! Both Natasha and Michael are great walkers and really nice people too. Jamie is amazing about responding asap to e-mails/texts and setting up last minute walks/pet setting. We had to go out of town for a weekend and we were unable to take Nova. I texted Jamie on a day or two before we left to set up pet sitting for the weekend and within an hour she got everything in order and set up so our pup was taken care of. I like that everything is online, you can write notes to the walker that he/she will see before the walk and you get an e-mail summary and picture of your pet after each walk. The website has had some problems from time to time, but in that case, Jamie e-mails or texts you how the walk went. Obviously, a third-party website is not something Jamie can control, but she more than makes up for it in making sure everything is taken care of. read more

Jamie and Christina are consummate professionals. We are able to have a consistent walker each time we need help with our dog. My wife and I have crazy work schedules. Sometimes we need to schedule a walk same day with short notice. They are so caring and make every attempt to accommodate our needs. We get email and picture updates from each walk. Christina even checks in using GPS. We also get updates on whether our pup goes #1 or #2. On hot summer days our walker leaves extra water and turns up the AC so our pup doesn't overheat in the stuffy apartment. Could not be happier with happy pets! read more

You can see from my original review that I was very happy with the service we received from Happy Pets over the first year or so we used them for dog walking while we were at work. Unfortunately we had several switches in dog walkers, some of which we didn't find out about until after the change had been made. When this happened I requested information on each new walker and didn't receive any background on the walker or their experience caring for animals. In one case I discovered when I was home sick that the walker didn't know how to put my dog's harness on, which I communicated needed to be worn on every walk. There were other instances where his leash was attached to his collar instead of his harness when we got home, which made me think the harness was not being used at all. It made me very uneasy that I didn't know who was walking my dog and coming into my apartment every day. I hope that Happy Pets will return to the level of service we initially experienced but I cannot recommend them at this time. read more

I love Happy Pets! The owner Jamie is super efficient and has nice caring people that work for her! My puppy Archie also loves his visits of playtime and fun! I also receive updates with pictures and comments so I know how he is doing. Definitely recommend the service! read more

Happy Pets is wonderful with dogs with behavioral issues. My dog, Goobie is very weary of strangers and takes awhile to warm up to people. Jamie, the owner was very understanding and nice during the initial consultation. Goobie barked and growled during the entire consult but Jamie didn't hesitate to take us as clients. I work full time so I needed a dog walker to walk Goobie five days a week for a 30 min relief walk. Leslie who is goobie's steady walker was very patient with Goobie and put up with a lot from my little monster. She never gave up on him and he eventually warmed up to her and now loves when Leslie comes to walk him. Aliza also walked Goobie when Leslie was away and she is wonderful too. I get report cards daily from Jamie via email everyday which keeps me updated on how he did on his walk. As dog owners, they are our babies. I would highly recommend Happy Pets. It is such a relief for me to find trustworthy walkers that truly cares for animals. read more

I have used Happy Pets for the past year, and I am very content with their service. Whenever I had a concern or request, they were quick to accommodate. They took care of my pup since he was 3 months old, and I completely trusted the walkers that came into my apartment. Sometimes my pup would have accidents, and they would clean up the mess which was a huge help to me. If I wasn't moving out of queens, I would continue to use them for a long time! read more

Jamie has been THE most accommodating and understanding professional I have ever dealt with. We've had to cancel last minute, book last minute, and every other disaster scenario, and she has been 1000% understanding. She and the walkers are also unbelievably sweet and loving with our rescue Maxie. I am truly impressed and would recommend them to anyone. read more

I needed a cat sitter to check up on my two cats when I was on vacation. Luckily I found Happy Pets which service my neighborhood in Rego Park. They are very professional, I get reports and pictures of my cats after every visit. I feel safe with them with my cats. And Jamie even text me to make sure I have returned from my trip after the last scheduled visit, in case more visits are needed for my cats. read more

This was my first time using any service & I was pretty nervous at first. I did my research but was still apprehensive because basically you just never know! After meeting with Jamie the owner I felt she was thorough, very nice & seemed to have a good understanding of animals. I didn't worry about my kitty while on vacation which was refreshing. Michele sent me a text & photo each time she visited due to the Pet Cloud being temporarily unavailable at the time. Seems like a great idea for a website once all the kinks get worked out. Thanks ladies!!! You'll be hearing from us again soon. :-) read more

I absolutely LOVE Happy Pets and the way they're talking care of my English Bulldog when we're at work! Michele sends the best report cards, it puts a huge smile on my face every day knowing that someone is there to walk him and care for him if just for a little while to break up the day. Jamie is fantastic, she is extremely organized and keeps us updated on everything. We love getting the photos and report cards after each walk. I can't wait to take advantage of her training in the future! Thanks Jamie, Michele and the Happy Pets team! read more

They were unresponsive after I left a few voicemails and used their online inquiry tool. Ended up finding another place in the neighborhood. They might have been closed for good. read more

not sure why i'm just now seeing Jamie's answer to my rating. let me just let you guys know that she knew exactly where the harness was. so did Muffins regular dog walker and it's all in the app she uses - so very easy to look up. please don't say you didn't see it or didn't know where it was when 1. it's on the app and 2. you had my number. be professional bc u know that there are a multitude of dangers for dogs when walked only with a collar. a simple google search will tell you that. yes i was incredibly happy w the service until i realized my dogs safety had been compromised. i have since made other arrangements and a harness is used every time. read more

We were looking for what to do with our cat while going away on vacation for about 10 days and after hearing so many horror stories about animals being boarding I was so relieved to find out about Happy Pets. Jamie is a total professional and you can tell she really cares about the animals she takes care of. She was thorough with her questions on Corey and was so cute playing with him when he came over very curious about who she was. I felt totally comfortable leaving her the keys to our home and our boy in her care. The best part is the daily report card we always looked forward to seeing with a little update on our boy and some photos. We will DEFINITELY be using her going forward! Can't thank her enough and neither can Corey! read more

I started using Jamie for my petsitting needs in April of 2012. Since then my petsitting needs have grown tenfold due to business travel. Jamie is extremely reliable, trustworthy and most accommodating of my shifting travel schedule. I always receive notes and photos from Jamie when I'm away. Moreover, Jamie confirms I have returned home from traveling. This level of professionalism is especially important to me as my cat has developed some health issues this past year. Happy Pets eases my mind. I highly recommend their services. read more

Happy Pets is amazing. Both Michelle and Michael take such good care of my dog Snoopy. I love getting the daily reports. Jamie and everyone at Happy Pets are so accommodating, I have a lot of last minute scheduling that has to be done and they never fail to help me out. It gives me so much peace of mind to know Snoop is taken care of while I'm away, especially since she can be a little fussy. Thank you for all you do!!! read more

This review is long overdue! Jamie and her staff are beyond amazing. She is extremely prompt in returning emails/requests. Our regular dog walker Nancy goes above and beyond for our dog Spooky! We are pretty sure she loves our dog as much as we do. On an extremely hot day, she gave Spooky a cold compress to cool him off...she is the BEST! My husband and I look forward to the email every day about Spooky's walk as they are not only sweet but entertaining too! We love that the software Jamie uses includes the option for picture of your pet as well. The whole process is super easy to book, pay, and track the walks. HIGHLY recommend to anyone in the Forest Hills area looking for a pet service! Love our Nancy read more

A really great neighborhood store. They got to know my mom and I and suggest just the right food, harnesses, treats, bedding, and clothing for my two year old Havanese, Rollie. The prices are also reasonable, and anything your not happy with, they will let you return for something else. read more

i have used Happy Pets and Jamie as my dog walker and pet sitter for several years and can honestly attest to her caring, consideration for my dog Rudy, a high energy Jack Russell... I have seen her interact with Rudy and upon seeing her his tail goes up, it starts wagging excitedly andi can tell he really enjoys her company. E Which is how you want your pet to react and you can be comfortable knowing the pet is in good hands. I highly recommend Jammie and Happy Pets to anyone wanting and needing a caring walker and sitter. Jammie and Happy Pets also do training and she has had remarkable success with Rudy.... read more

We needed a regular dog walker for the summer and also someone to dog sit during our vacation in August. I cannot recommend Happy Pets highly enough. Jamie and company are prompt, professional and very loving with the pets. Bernie absolutely adored each of the walkers (they assign a regular walker but sometimes changes had to be made) When we were away Jamie stayed in our home and Bernie was utterly secure and comfortable. I will absolutely be using Happy Pets Again and totally recommend to anyone in the Forest Hills Rego Park area that they serve. read more

Raya was an excellent dog walker for my pooch. She really loved my dog and always left great comments about the walks. Jamie at Happy Pets runs a great service and I couldn't be happier with my experience with them. read more

I started with Jamie, owner of Happy Pets NYC when my dog was four months old. My dog received training and continues, a year and a half later, being walked by Jamie. I wouldn't even dream of using anyone else! Jamie is lovingly professional with him and he totally remembers and practices everything she trained him to do. He adores her and her positive reinforcement with him has me adoring her as well! Extremely trustworthy in every way! read more

We had Happy Pets serve as our dog-walker/cat-sitter when we lived in the area. We really appreciated the level of professionalism and care we got from both Jamie and the various walkers we used. The walkers were clearly very attached to our dog (who can take some time to warm up to new people), and my wife really liked getting to check up on the daily reports & pictures in the app platform. read more

I don't usually write reviews but I had to share my recent experience with Jamie and Happy Pets. This was the second time we used the kitty sitting services for our new kitten Cheech. We had to book a last minute flight back to CA for a weekend because a dear friend passed away from cancer. I only gave Jamie 24 hours notice and even though our normal sitter Michael was not available Jamie ended up sitting Cheech herself. I was so impressed that she would go out of her way to accommodate us. She is a great business owner and Cheech absolutely loves her. We already have our next sitting appointment scheduled and will continue to use Happy Pets because Jamie and her staff are trustworthy and reliable, and the most important thing is that Cheech is happy while we are gone. read more

We used Happy Pets this past week to watch our two cats while we were on vacation. Jamie is really nice to work with and everything went smoothly so we were able to relax on vacation without worrying about our kitties. I received email updates every time the visit started and an update on how our kitties were doing. I love that everything is done through their website, we returned last night and I was able to just log in and issue payment this morning. Jamie texted me to make sure we returned on time and that additional services weren't needed. I would highly recommend Happy Pets. We will be planning some dog walking in the future and possibly some overnight visits now that I have found a company I feel comfortable leaving my dogs with. read more

Happy Pets is great! Jamie has been our dog walker for the past year and then we slowly transitioned to Aliza and Natasha as the business grew. They are all fabulous, friendly, and truly loving towards my dog, Austin. They send report cards via email after they've completed their walk and my last report card they even sent a picture too. It is so nice to be able to get a real time report card so I can know that my pup is safe and happy while I'm at work. We have had Jamie stay for an overnight weekend pet sitting when we had to go away unexpectedly and she sent us regular texts/pics to update us on Austin. He was very happy and obviously well taken care of when we got home. Making sure you find a trustworthy and caring pet sitter is top priority and that is exactly what you get with the people at Happy Pets. read more

They are very professional and extremely accommodating, especially when our schedules change last minute. You can tell Jamie and her team are true pet lovers which is what you want when you're putting your loved ones in their care! read more

Awful, left apt door unlocked and we were robbed of $1000s of dollars in jewelry. Not too long after this event, which we have never received any apology or any kind of feeling that jaime gives a rats ass mind you, the asshole employee who left our door unlocked got promoted. Either your employee was too stupid to figure out how to properly lock a door, or she did it on purpose to get a taste on the score. This company should be thrown in the garbage, you put all ur faith in someone being able to take care of ur pet and KEEP YOUR HOME SECURE and instead not only do they do the opposite but they make it obvious they dont care how badly they fucked up. This company is the worst ever, customer is always right unless they get robbed of everything thats worth anything that they own but they are not responsible for that, not even a meaningful "im sorry" or follow up call about our situation, nothing. Awful and will not last. If i could give -100 stars i would try for -500. read more

I have been using their dog walking service more regularly now and I have been very happy. My dog is content when I come home and I love the report cards they send right after the walk. My husband and I took our first vacation in several years over the Christmas holiday. We were worried about how our newly adopted, somewhat emotional cat would be taken care of over a full week while we were out of town. Happy Pets made our vacation so much less stressful than it could have been--our sitter, Michael, visited our cat twice a day at home, and through Pet Cloud, we even received notes after each visit. Prior to our departure, Jamie visited our home and took thorough notes on all of our cat's needs, where supplies were located, and how their services work. She even offered some behavioral advice! We could not be happier with the professional manner in which both ourselves and our pet received. I would highly recommend Happy Pets to anyone lucky enough to be in the area they service! read more

If I could, I'd give them 10 stars! Jamie is an excellent business owner - very attentive to the needs of the client and does what she can to accommodate. I had a surgery last month and requested many walks at last minute, and she made sure my dog was taken care of during that time! We've been using happy pets for about 6 months now and have had nothing but great experiences. Michael, Yvonne, and Natasha have all been great and my dog is a happier boy when I get home from work - because of happy pets! I highly recommend. read more

Just wanted to update my review to include overnight sitting! Jessica and Lauren are typically the walkers who stay overnight with our pup when we can't take her out of town with us. On top of just being super reliable and trustworthy for normally scheduled overnight sits, Jamie/Lauren/Jessica have come to the rescue on several occasions for emergency overnight sits. Last October my really fun in-laws waited until we were in Thailand to let us know that they wouldn't be coming over to take care of our dog after all. After panicking in our hotel room, we emailed Lauren (Jamie was on vacation) and she assured us that she would do whatever she had to do to make sure our pup would be taken care of, despite our super last minute needs. She was really sweet through our constant panicky texts and literally saved our vacation, as we were about to just get in a plane and fly back if it weren't for her. Fast forward to this past February, one of the Happy Pets girls had already stayed a couple of nights at our house while we were in Canada, and our flight back got cancelled last minute due to weather. This tine Jamie jumped in and made sure that our pup had someone to stay with her until we were finally able to get home 24 hours later. Jamie always makes sure to get confirmation of your return home, before assuming a pet sit is complete, which is really nice. We're at the point where we'd much rather pay Happy Pets to stay overnight with our furbaby and not have to stress about her being taken care of properly, than ask family or friends to do it for free. So if you're going out of town and need a sitter, Happy Pets is your best option! read more
