I cannot believe this company. How unprofessional. My vet gave me this family's information for cat sitting while we're away on vacation for 2 weeks. We contacted them 3 months ago, and they confirmed they can provide the services. I have a friendly confirmation via email from the owner's wife. I called to confirm our in-home appt now 2 weeks before we leave. They were supposed to meet the cats at our home and take the house key. The owner is driving to my house the morning of our appointment, he gets lost and ends up in Hillside in Queens somewhere near the LIE. He calls me 5 mins before the appt to advise me he was confused and doesn't service my area. AFTER THREE MONTHS now you check the address and you go back on your promise and confirmation. Nice, What kind of business is this? Now my cats are left with no care thanks to them. Maybe they're getting old and heartless but you don't do that to people. We leave on vacation with the family and friends and now we have no one to care for our cats. I will make sure to let everyone know that is referring your company how horrible you are. We have been using Doggie Do Gooders for a few months now. When I first called them I explained that my daschund was very nervous and defensive around new people, especially males. Tod and his daughter came to our home to meet our puppy and our family. They were extremely understanding and went out of their way to make Puchina feel comfortable. Tod went so far as to lie on the ground to make our girl feel safe. It worked! They have been coming consistently to our home without issue. The staff is professional and the service is great. I spoke to a very nice woman in June 2019 about hiring this company highly recommended by my Vet, That I would need them 5 days a week for afternoon walks. I was working remote and now would be getting a job out of the house. We talked about it. Wanted to do test runs. Explained about my dog and his behavior outside with other dogs. She told me when I was ready to call back and we will get it set up. I did not take that job. Well Now I am ready! I called on 9/23/19 and spoke with a man. Both owners came to do a free consultation with my fiance at our convenience. My door key broke in my front when the cat sitter was making her visit. She didn't just walk away, she found one of the building's maintenance workers and explained the situation to him. We used this service for about one month, but yesterday when no one showed up to walk our dog - I was told that from time to time the walkers get mixed up and dogs do not get walked. Thank god after 11 hours alone he and our home were fine, but he did not get lunch and when arrived home he had no water. When I called to find out what happened, I left two messages in the evening and one the next day at 9:00 a.m. and did not receive a return call until 10:37 a.m. When I spoke with one of the owners, I was not given an apology, nor was I given any assurances that this would not happen in the future. In fact, I was told that from time to time their walkers get mixed up and dogs do not get walked. When dog walking is your business, that is unacceptable. In truth, I realize mistakes get made, no one is perfect and had the incident been addressed properly, I would have accepted an apology, but that is not what occured. The owner not only said it could happen again but he seemed bored and uninterested in the entire conversation. He clearly did not care that he was losing a customer. The logical solution came to my mind after a few minutes: 'Enlist the help of Doggie Dogooders.' Tilly is doing very well now. Tilly and I are both very grateful for Todd's and Doggie Dogooders' help. Todd has Tilly's trust, because he really cares about him and is very loving towards him. As a result, after a short time, Tilly sits still during the injection of fluids, but he can be a real terror in the veterinarian's office, so he needs to be sedated. But not when Todd injects the fluids into him, because he treats Tilly as if he's his own cat. So this is a real accomplishment.
