Passing through Kamloops on a Sunday evening makes dinner choices difficult. Fortunately, we can always count on a White Spot. And this location didn't disappoint. The interior is just like your typical WS, although the music piped in was a little loud - not objectionably so, but still prominent. I chose the Chicken Yaki Udon Bowl (a new menu item) to try. It has chicken thigh & sesame udon noodles tossed in a sweet & savory sauce with mushrooms, spinach, cabbage, pickled carrots & cilantro. The preparation was a little heavy handed with the furikake seasoning but, overall, it was pretty good. The small (and few) pieces of chicken were tender and flavorful, the vegetables were crisp and the noodles had a good chew. Service was exemplary. Our server was personable and attentive. Prices are about what you would expect from a White Spot. Overall, we were glad we found WS (and they were open). read more

In Kamloops for a tournament and my daughter picked where she wanted to go for dinner, so we were off to White Spot. This White Spot is in a plaza just off Notre Dame Drive in a busy retail area with plenty of vehicle traffic. There was plenty of parking and we were seated immediately when we arrived...both always nice positives. The restaurant was quite busy and after I flagged down our server, she was very pleasant and attentive. While not a fan of restaurant chains, I do like the White Spot menu and it brings a level of comfort having dined at many over the years. I opted for the Triple O burger with lettuce & tomato and the fries...I do like their fries. The burger and fries were tasty...same as in other White Spots. And so liked they now have an IPA added to their beer selection...thank you White Spot. It was a positive food experience and happy to recommend this White Spot if in Kamloops and looking for comfort food. read more

I wish I had gotten his name... but if you've been there, you'll know who I mean when I say the server with the AMAZING smile and great personality. Service was really great. He was super friendly and helpful with the menu. He was super on top of beverage and fry refills. Food was delicious and came out quickly. Honestly... I just have nothing bad to say about it. I'm really disappointed in every location of white spot in Kamloops higher volume restaurants in the lower mainland are able to accommodate gluten free fries and other sides. This should be a company wide policy especially if the ones in areas with twice the volume are able to. This is unacceptable. read more

4 days out of 5 when stayed in Accent Inns, we dined here trying unique menu. Very creative and tasty meals. Big selection too. I will return for the food, taste, staff and atmosphere. There is a big parking so can accommodate even few buses, this is a plus. Thanks for Your service. read more

Great place to eat in Kamloops but...my only "thing" is that while I really enjoyed the great staff who are always joking with you while at the same time giving great service they don't have any "ethnic" foods LOL :-) To be fair though, they do have some ethnic inspired dishes such as the Asian bowls which are both tasty and filling by the way! I will say that if you're looking for a quality meal at a "fair" price that is both central to Kamloops, just off the highway (so it's a great place to stop on the way to Vancouver or...towards Alberta or even Northwards) the Kamloops White Spot is a safe bet instead of some of the more "advertised" places to eat in Kamloops such as Wok Box who clearly spend their money on marketing and advertising rather than quality food and customer service. I actually wish they were open 24 hours because I'm sure that once you try it, you'll be sure to visit it again! Burgers: Go for the Bacon, Cheddar, Bigger Burger....or the Monty Mushroom burger Appy: Dry ribs...! Salad: For the Chicken Caesar (get the dressing on the side...it can be put on a bit thick at times depending who's in the kitchen) Dessert: Strawberry Cheesecake (eh-hem... I'm told it's great not that I'd ever eat two of them...) ;-) Hit the gym after a rest to work it all off! We saw these restaurants all over the place. We tried to avoid them because we try to stay away from chains when we travel, so that we can eat at local joints, but this time it was too hard when driving in a day from Vancouver, BC to Jasper, AB. It seems to be the equivalent to a Denny's in the United States, but a little bit more refined. The place was very clean and they offered drinks, which we weren't expecting. They have a large diner inspired menu. The service was good and the food came out quickly. I ate a burger and a salad. I enjoyed mine. It wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad. It was exactly what you would expect, which I am fine with. For what it is, it is good and I'd stop again for a quick meal. read more

Decided to go to this place for a yank's experience at White Spot. I'd actually been there before, the wife had not. I haven't been to many White Spots. One in the Vancouver area. We'd gone there about when it was closing, so it may have affected the service somewhat. The food was just alright. Not really knock your socks off ,but certainly not bad either. I'll say that the decor was a bit nicer than I'd expected. Service was prompt and polite. Since it was towards the end of everyone's shift, folks were starting to get a bit informal. Though honestly if I was that age working at that place in Kamloops, I'd have done the same. All in all a fair place, not a big wow, but not bad either. On a recent trip back home White Spot was high on my list of places I had to visit. I remember the pirate ships from my childhood & wanted my kids to enjoy the same! The food is your average diner style food at very reasonable prices. It's a nice place to go if want a family meal out somewhere not to 'posh' & child friendly. The staff are very friendly & helpful & spoke to us for a while & filled us in on changes. My favourite meal was the classic burger with their 'special' white spot relish. It was just how I remembered it. The children loved their pirate ships & even brought them home so they've travelled a long way. The restaurant was very clean & tidy & had recently been refurbished. Lots of parking available as well. A nice place for a family to go & very good value for money. read more

It was ok. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs with was fine but the "roasted garlic bread"was not toasted and quite dry...not at all garlicky either. My boyfriend ordered a cheese burger and he said it was dry. The poutine however was good. We didn't stay for dessert. read more

I love family style diner's. Maybe its because I'm 60 yrs. old. But, great service and good food never goes out of style ! We shared the fish & chips ( $ 12. ). We shared a tea ( $ 3.25 ) and each had a cup of chowder ( $ 4.99 ) . The reason we share, is to control our budget and our waistline. This place is great. Good parking. Great stop for a drink last night, and good breakfast this morning.

I went here with my friends to grab some breakfast. When we came in, the restaurant wasn't that busy but our server was quick and put in our orders right away. I ordered a strawberry milkshake and the others got a basic breakfast. It didn't take long for it to show up. When I got my milkshake, it came in two tall glasses. First tall glass was filled to the top and the other tall glass was just a 1/4 filled. Nevertheless, it tasted delicious and I felt like I got more bang for my money! This is my daughter's favourite restaurant but sadly, for the second time in less than six months, I've succumbed to food poisoning once again. We were there last night. Our hostess was passive aggressive and our waitress, although super nice, was very absent for such an empty restaurant. We waited way longer than we should have for our food to arrive. Everyone's meal was good. I ordered fish tacos. I don't know how I ended up with food poisoning but this is the second time which leads me to believe there may be cross contamination happening in the kitchen or a lack of proper cleaning. I'm super disappointed that for $70 I ended up so sick. We won't be going back anymore. read more

Probably the worst food and service in the city for a chain restaurant. You'd seriously get a better quality of both from Dennys. If the food is not mostly reheated frozen food, pre-packaged food or microwaved food then it sure tastes like it. Hot garbage on a plate from apathetic, slow servers and non-responsive managers. This White Spot had the typical food and pricing that I've come to expect from these restaurants, and no one at my table was disappointed with their meal. I want to make special note of the fact that while I was waiting for my party to arrive I was treated courteously and checked on by multiple staff members. They even offered me a beverage while I waited for my tardy friends. The washroom (which I used only to wash my hands) surprised me by providing paper towel, and a garbage near the door, in case like me you don't trust that everyone washes up properly, and provided hand cream! That was a surprising bonus that one usually only sees at more upscale restaurants, lounges and bars. It was nice to see. Once we were seated and waited on, our food came quickly and the order was 100% accurate. The only reason I did not give a five star review was because the server neglected to inform one of us that the extra dip they were requesting (a tiny little thing of dip) would cost an additional $2. I believe that dips that come with the meal should be freely supplemented if they were in meagre supply to begin with, but that at the very least when requesting more, the customer should be told of the price. Furthermore, I firmly believe that what appeared to be 0.10$ worth of dip at the most should only be priced at 0.50$ or 0.75$ at most. But that complaint applies generically to all restaurants that price gouge with their 'add-ons'. read more
