I went for breakfast years ago swore I would never go back. I went recently this I am sure I will never go back. Food was terrible.

Service - almost none existent - probably the only time I tipped $0 ! Took 14 min from seating to get the order for coffee.... Another 15 for the waitress to finally take an order - with an attitude.. after asking her to expedite - answering my request while walking away from me totally pissed that I have dared to ask to expedite ... Over 35 min to get the order - on a regular Tuesday 10 am Place is half empty Ambiance - seriously..? Food - how can you screw up sunny side up ??? However I guess you can screw up potatoes.. Coffee - just brown water with no taste and lukewarm My fault to come here. read more

Nice restaurant within walking distance of many Kamloops hotels. Large variety of foods offered at fare prices. Everyone enjoyed their well portioned meals. The servers were nice and polite. Service was a bit slow but I think they were understaffed as most places are. But even with that, I would eat there again just to try another different meal. read more

Just had my second poor experience with Cora's....which used to be a good restaurant. Last time it took over 30 minutes to get the meal, the food was cold and items that were ordered were missing. I thought maybe it was just a bad day and went this morning for brunch....service was better, food was warmer but I asked for cheese on my scrambled eggs and was charged $3.55 extra for a sprinkle of cheese (and I actually asked if they remembered to put it on, I could not see it). When I talked to the manager about it he basically said "too bad that's what it is" and when I said this would earn the restaurant a bad review he told me I was threatening him. disappointment every time I go but I've always been willing to give them another chance. Last time I was there was thick black hair baked into my eggs. I took a peek in the kitchen on my way out. I live in Surrey so whenever I'm in town I come here for breakfast, well with Covid Travel restrictions I haven't been able to visit my favourite breakfast place in a while. While visiting Kamloops for a wedding, my family and I thought it would be nice to have a brunch to celebrate. Someone decided this place would be a good choice, but oh boy they were wrong! We did have a group of 10 people, but it was 11 am on a Monday and honestly the restaurant was dead. Although our server was pleasant, it was Incredibly slow service. It took 1/2 an hour just to get our drinks ordered and even longer to receive our food. Also vedisappointes that they did not have a liquor license. No celebratory Mimosas or Ceasers at this joint. After waiting about 40 minutes for food, 1/2 of our table was served food while the rest of us sat and watched impatiently waiting to eat. It was terrible! As my side of the table received out food it was a string of mistakes. I ordered chocolate chip pancakes and received one with chocolate and one without. It almost seemed like they were trying to hide the plain one under the chocolate one. Also, an order of poutine was supposed to be without bacon, and it was full of bacon. Most of the food was served cold and none of the mistakes were corrected. My stepmother mentioned to the server that the food took a very long time which led to the manager stopping by. The manager apologized for the wait on the food andand explained she would provide four $10 off coupons. When it was mentioned that we were all from out of town, except for my brother, she just slapped the coupons on the table, smiled and walked away. A few people at my table were very offended. One person immediately wrote an email mail to the restaurant, the other said something to the sever. Long story short we had 50% of the total bill. I wouldn't go back, ever. read more

First time at this restaurant so first off I'd like to say the service was pleasant and the staff were all friendly. Soooooo many choices to choose from it took awhile. We finally decided on the eggs benny, banana and strawberry waffle, the Cora special breakfast and the kids ham and cheese panini. Everything tasted great and beautifully presented. The only thing I have to mention is the price tag. It's quite pricey. The food was good but not quite worth what it costs. Breakfast for 2 adults and 2 kids came to almost $90. A bit steep for only the first meal of the day. This is one of those places that you check off the 'been there done that' list and never go again. read more

On a road trip and kids woke up hungry so stopped by this Cora. It was 7:30am with small amount of customers in the restaurant. We were greeted and seated rather quickly. This is not a a very big store but have plenty of parking and lots of windows to let natural sunlights flow into the dining area. As Cora is chain so nothing surprising in menu, we waited for our witness to come back to take our order but she is not very capable at handling multiple tables coming in, she was a mess and waited 10mins before she came back to take our order. We ordered 2 kids breakfast and 2 adult early bird breakfast. Food tasted standard, fresh orange juice tasted great as usual. Coffee was a bit on the weak side, staff needs better training especially this morning it's not very busy. Pretty good breakfast selection as it also has gluten free option. Servers are friendly and cognizant in refilling our coffees. I ordered the Top 10 skillet. The food arrived within reasonable amount of time. The skillet was really filling. The fruits were really fresh. But nothing worth remembering. Coffee was just coffee. Not that special. This is my favorite breakfast place in town! I was so sad when it was close for a while, but I'm so pleased that they are up and running again. I went there again for brunch with my boyfriend, it the perfect date on summer time! nice staff and a cozy environment. The staff was so helpful and friendly, everything tasted fresh and was on time. WOW! The food here is pretty good IMO, I would comeback to any Coras after coming here! Very reasonable prices, decent decorations, the service is real good, when we were there was seated right away, and was served right away. The one thing I doubt I would recommend is the fruit cup thing, wasnt to impressed with it, but did had the Strawberry french toast, nice thick toast! The turkey sausage, meh could have been better, same with the bacon, The rest of it like I said I was impressed with! read more

Wow! What a find! Driving through Kamloops we stopped for breakfast and what a delight! The menu is overwhelming. So many delicious options to choose from. And the fruit! The presentation is out of this world! It happened to be my birthday and they served me an apple cut like a bird. I would go here again for sure. Additionally, the people could not have been nicer! I have never had such incredible service and even more incredible food! Literally ever person working had a huge smile and seemed like they genuinely enjoyed their job. The menu has so much to offer for all kinds of cravings so it was incredibly hard to choose since it all looked amazing. Took no time at all to receive our food, and we were all flabbergasted at how much fresh fruit you get with your meal! Service was very fast. I ordered a chocolate crepe with banana and strawberries. It was ready so quickly. It was a lot bigger than any crepe I've ordered before. But it did cost about two times what a standard crepe costs. I would return again next time I am in kamloops. read more

I was also really impressed with the service. We came with a group of twenty people (it was my beau's family event), and the service was quick and efficient. They never seemed stressed. This place is atrocious. I am not going to even bother talking about the tacky decor of this place but rather talk about the extreme lack of food quality. I should have walked out when I saw boxes of corn flakes and fruit loops on the kitchen pass thru. Well, one thing is for certain. The 'Cora' woman who opened this isn't the same one from Iron Chef. The potatoes were bland as they just pile them up on their flat top with little seasoning. The omelette was tasteless and overcooked. The crepes were sticky gluten like texture (they shouldn't call them crepes). They were more like a crappy pancake that tasted like it was microwaved. My partner had fatty undercooked looking bacon. The toast reminded me of Safeway bread. This is what happens when a restaurant uses the cheapest GMO product available. And the bill for three of us was $45. Big restaurant chains using hormone filled proteins and low grade flour. This town needs a real food breakfast place that serves homemade bread, locally farmed meats and organic eggs. Cora is an inexcusable restaurant. Shame on her for pretending to be a talented chef. Her food/recipes do not demonstrate any talent. Save your money. Ok, I must say, I was surprised to find this little place in Kamloops of all places. I usually would NEVER eat pancakes but when I saw them on the plate beside me I just had to try them out OMG! Fluffy and oooooh soooo tasty!! The place was bust up beat and the service was friendly and fast. The portions were big, prices were fair, food was yummy and my belly was happy. Overall experience on my little road trip to Kamloops I'm a happy little girl. They did not disappoint at all. Good job guys. Big thumbs up read more
