Talk about a 5 Star Shopping Experience! Last night my friend and I were able to go shopping or shall I say have a shopping extravaganza night at the White House Black Market over at the Promenade Mall in Temecula. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with many friendly smiles. The staff was incredible, engaging and helped with every details of what we were shopping for. Sadie and Lori were top notch treating us like Queens. Our room was set up for each of us along with a clothes rack for the many pieces Sadie pulled for me to try on. I not only left with new amazing items to add to my wardrobe, we left feeling like we hit the Mother Ship of Customer Service. I love purchasing clothes from White House Black Market but..and here it comes....this location and the horrendous ladies that lack any sort of customer service skills makes it for an unbearable experience every single time!!! Unfortunately..this location is closest to my house but I really try my best to avoid this location..If I can..I purposely drive an hour to go to a different location just so that I don't have to deal with the absolutely unprofessional, rude, unenthusiastic and sad women that work there. They always seem like they don't want to be there, they are all standing around with dead faces and oh here is the real kicker...they talk about clients amongst themselves in front of other clients..yep..I've been there with my friends, on my own..with my family and all they do is gossip about other clients. They are so dang unhelpful and it's a pity that there is no other WHBM location close by. I can tell you..if things continue this way..this location will surely get shut down too, not because the clothes are bad..it's the rude staff that will drive people away. Please hire some new energetic, fun, cool young girls that have a better happier positive attitude who will make clients feel welcome and happy when they come into the store rather than feel like a burden or unwelcome every time they step foot into this store. Please..someone needs to step in and definitely needs to change things around in this store and please bring some joy and positive vibes!! I've given this location so many chances and now..finally..I had to write this long sad review because I just can't stand their sad pathetic behavior anymore. I used to genuinely love this store. My first experience was fabulous- greeted as soon as I entered, the sales associates made sure to find me outfits to match my needs and after 2.5 hours, I walked out with multiple outfits. Sadly, that was the only time I walked out with a smile. Ever since then, I've been at this location countless times (only for their clothes), spent thousands of dollars, and every time I go, their sales associates and manager do the worse possible job ever. 1. You'll be lucky if you get greeted or helped by anyone as soon as you enter unless you are "dressed" like a million bucks. 2. If they do end up helping you, they make sure to find you outfits that are not on sale. 3. They love filling up your dressing room with the most expensive clothes and even if they don't look good on you, they swear up and down how gorgeous you look. They even ask other associates to join in and validate the thought. All to make sure they make the sales numbers for the month. 4. They allow husbands to sit in the back, which is nice to have if its your spouse, but if it's just you changing and someone else's husband is sitting across your changing room, which is only covered by a curtain, it gets very uncomfortable for you AND the gentleman sitting. 5. Most clothes I've purchased HAVE to be dry cleaned because they don't look the same after the first wash. 6. Lastly, if there is a sale, don't even bother asking them how long it will be for. They will always say they have no way of telling. Which is funny because if you go on their website (has the same sales) you can click details and get the promotion ending date on it! My humble suggestion: Take a girlfriend that you trust with you when going shopping here. Actively ask them for different sizes because they may just say you look great in a certain size if they don't have your size. Make sure to go during their semi annual sales. Went in on a whim after dinner one night and my mom happened to find a dress she loved for an upcoming event. We pressured her into trying it on just for kicks but it looked too amazing to pass up - the ladies who were working helped us buy the dress in secret while we were all still in the store, so we could surprise my mom later on with the dress. We're so appreciative of their level of service, attention and how kind they each were! One of the ladies (I think her name was Amanda) was extremely helpful and gave us such great customer service that I'd recommend this store to anyone in need of a little something special for your wardrobe! read more

The clothing is the absolute best quality I have ever bought. I usually buy at Ann Taylor, but WHBM is going to be my go to store. I had the best experience with their fashion consultant, Joy. Joy went out of her way to get me a variety of styles and sizes and put several beautiful outfits together for me. She was so friendly and has a great eye for fashion. I would have bought everything I tried on, but the prices are a little too high to get everything at once. I'll be back in the months to come to complete my wardrobe. read more

I wish I could give 0 Stars!!! I love the quality of the clothes here so when I was shopping around for Holiday Clothes I stopped by on December 18, 2013 and purchased a New Years dress and 2 sweaters for Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. I decided on the smaller dress size because the dress was full, flare and a bit heavy and a smaller fit better. I brought it home and tried it on with the shoes and realized a fitted dress would be a better match for the shoes. I would not wear this dress for any other occasion, so today December 27th I decided to bring back the dress to the Winchester Store since I was doing some shopping at the Temecula Promenade. Both my son and I walked in, I was holding the bag and I was greeted by an older woman. Immediately she checked me out from top to bottom, she was polite and asked me a few questions and I answered them, then we proceeded to the counter. She took out the receipt and inspected it very carefully. Then she went on to take the dress out of the bag and did a thorough inspection on the dress. It wasn't the fact that she inspected the dress that bothered me. it's the fact that it seemed she was looking for something to be wrong with the dress. She checked the inside armpit area and found nothing, then there was a small white mark on the exterior of the dress towards the bottom of the dress on the back side. She then said she could not take the dress back because it was worn. I told her I haven't had the opportunity to wear it. She said I know but I cant return it. She went on to say that the receipt stated no returns if the dress is worn and I responded by telling her I never wore this dress. Why would I inspect the dress if I never wore it. She just said sorry I'm not returning the dress. There was younger girl working by the counter, and she did not bother to ask her to come look at the dress for a second opinion. The entire time I was standing in front of this older white lady, she was just looking at what I was wearing she was not looking at my face. Which it leads me to believe that she had a problem I was a Hispanic Woman returning an item. I asked her I wanted to speak to the manager and very arrogantly said I am the manager of the store. I asked her if there was anybody else I could speak with and she smirked and said no. I told her I would be speaking to someone about her attitude and treatment towards a customer. We walked out and my son said, he would be fired if he spoke to a customer the way this woman spoke to me. I realized I did not get her name and I walked back in the store and politely asked her name and she gave me a card where she wrote her name Mary A. Yeager and the number of the store. Which doesn't help because she obviously would not help me when I was there. Why would I call her? So I asked her to give me the name and number of the regional manager or her boss and she refused. She said that she was not allowed to give out that information. I just got the card and walked out. I'm very upset and disappointed to be treated in this manner. It's a shame that a manager would be so rude, bitchy and arrogant. This justifies my claim, after lunch I looked up a nearby store and drove to the white house black market store in Corona at Dos Lagos within hours of my encounter with Mary. I handed the very polite young lady my bag she pulled out the dress did an inspection of the dress asked if there was a problem and immediately I was issued a full cash refund without a question. There was nothing stuck up or rude about the ladies at Dos Lagos and I felt very comfortable being in the store. They never once checked me out from top to bottom. They were busy helping other customers and the cashier was very professional and attentive. Unfortunately the only thing I have is the name and number of Mary, the lady I want to report so I will have to go on-line and search for the regional manager. That's ridiculous! read more
