While discussing the truck, one team member let me use the store's scanner, which showed no active codes. Before I headed back outside to start testing sensors, he suggested checking the battery. I was skeptical--and nervous about shutting the truck off because the issue became more likely for a hot start--but he assured me they would help if it didn't restart. The battery test showed that it was bad. I purchased a replacement, and another team member came outside and installed it for me. To my surprise, the truck started right up with no issues. Their friendly conversation, thoughtful questions, and willingness to check the simplest possibility saved me an entire weekend of troubleshooting and likely prevented me from wasting money on unnecessary parts. As a self-proclaimed YouTube mechanic, I appreciated the reminder that sometimes the solution is simpler than expected. I didn't catch their names, but this was the team working Sunday, September 6, around 5 p.m. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile; despite being in the middle of a huge store rush hour. A competing business down the street said this place did a lousy job? There's a credible unbiased opinion c'mon. I'll keep this quick... Toyota was off the charts for an install for a Tonneau cover and a cat shield. Was gonna just try to do it myself since YouTube said both could be done in 2 hours---not 8 hours you Toyota guys. Did a google search leaving the dealership with my parts and this place caught my eye. So glad I did. Walked in and got a very reasonable quote right from the start. Out of respect for the business I won't use prices but it was about 65% less than the dealership quoted. Serious money. Did both in just over 2 hours. When I came to pick it up, there had been a couple hiccups that were not my fault nor theirs involving some missing piece... but they got it done. No complaints, no extra charge, and it looks great. I had also bought a bed-liner that was in my truck that I was going to just do myself. When I got home I discovered that they actually installed that too. Again, no extra charge or even acknowledgment. It's refreshing to see such good work ethic these days. They have my business for as long as I have a truck, and they should have yours too.
