Beautiful place, it is inside a tattoo ship, but it is a very tasteful and beautiful ones so I was very comfortable having my kids sit and wait inside because we were early. All staff were very kind and attentive. They have beautiful Christ centered tattoos as well. But they were very good with my 7 yr old, very clear on procedure and aftercare. They have beautiful yet simple jewelry for kids to choose from and they answered the tons of questions my daughter threw at them while my husband was asking about tattoos on the other room. I would recommend Sparkle and Shine for piercings, especially for younger kids. I took my girls here, ages 11 and 12 for their second earlobe piercing. Erica was very nice, friendly and informative. She talked through the process and ensured the girls understood the steps she'd be taking. I loved the way she eased into the process for them. Her shop is clean and she is licensed. Erica also explained to the girls how to keep the piercings cleaned so they don't get infected. Erica explained the price range for each section of her jewelry. This place is amazing. I went to get my navel piercing, and my sister went to get her septum piercing. Amber was our piercer and she was so welcoming and so kind. Immediately upon arrival everyone was very kind and welcoming. Amber herself was very patient and she walks you through the entire process, so that in itself helped to ease my nerves. Came in yesterday with two of my daughters to get our ears pierced So both of my daughters got their second hole. I got my third hole. I called the head made the appointment. They informed me it would be $50 for the ear piercing we get there. First of all the ladies kind of rude and super forward and she tells me that if my boys don't absolutely behave she will refuse to do the piercings on me and my daughters The boys behaved the entire time then she tells us she has a three-strike policy and if you pull away from her or tell her to wait three times she will refuse to do the piercing Then she brings up the jewelry she has available to Pierce us with The lowest cost of jewelry was $15 and she may be had 10 selections And she really really downplayed those selections and made you feel like a piece of s*** when you went to go choose those Then the next price was $62 68 and 72 For titanium jewelry that you can buy off of Amazon for like two bucks So I went ahead and let my daughters choose the earrings they wanted and I chose a pair of the $15 set cuz I plan on changing them soon after First of all, she tells me that the higher price jewelry is pressurized and so it will be harder to take off Then she explains to me how she pressurizes the jewelry by bending the stem on the earring and then placing it into the backing. That's what she calls pressurized Then she does all of our piercings and after she does our piercing, she notifies us that she uses a larger needle for her ear piercings in the shop. Mind you, she didn't tell us this before she got our consent Upon looking at the earrings after being pierced, I realized not only did she use a 16 gauge needle that you would typically use on your lip. She also used lip piercing jewelry in all of our ears So every f****** piece of jewelry from the shop has a post on the back a little flat round post instead of the typical earrings with the bow that goes on the back. Now if anybody has ever gotten an ear piercing you know you don't want to use a post on the back of your earring because as your ear heals it will grow skin around that post and then close that post into the back of your ear and then you have to have it surgically removed She did not inform us that we would have to use post jewelry before the piercing and after the piercing she told us how hard it would be to remove I'm very upset with the fact that she didn't tell her she would be piercing us with the larger gauge needle than what we needed to have our ears pierced with And I'm also upset that she used lip piercing studs instead of actual earrings to try to save herself some money It also upsets me that the cost of jewelry in her shop isn't affordable. On top of a $50 piercing we spent almost $400 on three people getting their ears pierced Now make that makes sense. I was walking in there to expect him to spend 200 at the most. It was 268 almost 300 f****** dollars for ear piercings. I can't even begin to make sense of their prices. I can't begin to make sense of their bedside manner. I can't begin to make sense of how rude the woman was to not only me, but my children. Not only did she tell my boys that if they sat and behaved well the entire time she reward them with a big candy at the end. She never rewarded them. She just shoot us out. She didn't even walk us to the door. She literally got our payment and told us to have a nice day Your bedside manner should be a lot more polite than that, especially when a woman is walking in with her four children and spending $400 on ear piercings She kept trying to overspeak and continue to be a extremely rude as I tried to tell her about my children and about the things that we experience or have an experienced or the things we should look out for She only offered one small half cup of water to each of us. Well, I mean the pain customers because my twins weren't offered any beverages She promised my children all a candy when we were finished and didn't follow through on that And then she sat there and I balled me as she asked me if I wanted to tip her or not. Trying to manipulate me into giving her a tip I did not tip her. 368 is more than enough for three f****** ear piercings and some cheap ass jewelry that we can't wear for the longevity of our piercings. Then she proceeded to charge me $24 for saline spray that you can get off of Amazon for $4 Tell me this place isn't a scam It seemed like a really cleanly place. All of the employees are not very friendly. The tattoo artists were kind of rude as we walk past them and greeted them and acknowledge them. They refuse to acknowledge us. One of them stood over the piercing room hovering the entire time we were getting our piercings Overall not a great experience. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place. Just got my nose pierced by Amber and it was really fast and easy! I'm new to the area and found them on Yelp so I was really happy when I was able to book an appointment without an issue I got my nose pierced with the base of 40$ and then depending on the piercing choice the price goes up from there. In total with a 14 karat nose stud my piercing cost $90. $10 of those $90 was part of the deposit when you book an appointment online. So I only owed $80 at the appointment and was able to pay through Venmo I think there's a two dollar fee if you pay with a credit card I honestly thought it would have been a little cheaper but I may have misheard her. Regardless I think it's actually a very good price as the piercer I use to go to in my old town charges 140$ Honestly I'm really happy and I'll probably get more piercings from here! read more
