THE BEST MOVERS IN SAN DIEGO…read more We recently moved from Little Italy to Del Mar, and hired Designer Delivery for a 2nd time, and they did not disappoint. Their communication before the move was great; they confirmed both addresses and the start time. They showed up 10 minutes early to get their moving equipment and truck set-up, and were ready to work. These guys rock. They wrap almost EVERYTHING. Basically anything that's not in box gets wrapped with moving blankets and secured with moving tape so nothing ever gets damaged. This includes everything from the bed, couches, artwork to smaller things like office filing cabinets and side tables. They even bring a bunch of mobile hanging clothes boxes so your hanging clothes stay clean, safe and secure the whole time. For the larger furniture, and mounted pieces like art and the TV, they bring their own power tools & equipment to take everything apart & down. After the move, they reassemble everything in the place you'd like it. We can't thank them enough. The fact that we used them twice should be a recommendation by itself. If you don't use them, you'll regret it. They'll make you enjoy moving day.... Highly Recommend!

I sent out an inquiry for a few quotes a week before my move, and Designer Delivery (Pat) was the…read morefirst to respond. Shorty after, a handful of other moving companies provided hourly rates that were lower than Designer Delivery's, but I saw that they had contingencies like "3 hour minimum" or "$45 extra" for this and that. I went with Designer Delivery because of the convenience, and also because I'm pretty reliant on reviews as a consumer - and they have 5 out of 5 stars on Yelp. Brock and Pat showed up right on time (10am appointment yesterday) with their huge white truck. I am super low-maintenance: moving from a 1-bedroom to another 1-bedroom down the street in the same neighborhood. Both apartments are on the first floor. I only had 3 major pieces of furniture: a bed, a dining table, and a couch that would need to be taken apart to fit out the door and put back together at the new apartment. Everything else, I had packed conveniently into boxes, and expected the move to take no more than 2 hours total. Last time I moved, it took those movers about 2 hours, and that was an even further drive. The reason I'm not giving 5/5 stars? I was shocked that they were still bringing stuff in my new apartment at 2pm. 4 hours. $440. Do I think they provided good service? Yes - they seem like super chill guys and we had friendly conversation, they wrapped everything carefully and nothing is damaged. Do I think it was worth almost $500 to move from one small place to another down the street? No. I also realized today that they took apart my small book shelf and re-assembled it at the new place for no reason. The book shelf is small enough to fit through the front door no problem. They also drilled the shelves back on upside down, so now the screws on the bottom are showing at the top. Totally unnecessary, and now it makes me question why the move took as long as it did.

Loading was a pain because I'm on the 3rd floor and there is NO elevator. The crew that moved me into this apartment complained about that but Vector took it in stride like they do this all the time. They were able to get all my things into the unit. I can't even play Jenga but they knew how to load it so the boxes wouldn't shift on the ship. I was first referred to Carlos with "No Load is Too Small Moving" by the assisted living facility…read moremy mother was set to move into. I was down in Oceanside from Seattle, WA to help my Mom make the move. Carlos was able to help us move the largest item (a sofa) my mom wanted to take with her from home. He was responsive and very easy to work with. He knew exactly how to disconnect the reclining backs from the sofa so that it would make it through the doorways. The move went so well, that when Mom passed and we had to move her belongings back to her home, we were able to call Carlos to help move everything. He was able to complete the move within the short timeline the assisted living facility asked us to have the room vacated. Later, when we needed to clear everything from Mom's house in order to list it for sale, I was able to contact Carlos again from Seattle and set up an appointment for the last day I would be down in Oceanside. It gave us time to allow family and friends to choose/take something they wanted to remember Mom, and for a Charity Truck to come and take the bulk of the larger items for their thrift stores. The ability to organize with Carlos in advance to have him come and take away the remaining items was invaluable to me in getting everything done during the week I was there. He texted me to confirm before I even left Seattle. Then the night before he was set to come, I texted him photos of what was left that we needed his help with. He took everything, and handled what needed to go to the recycling center, what might be useful for a different thrift store, and what needed to be taken to the transfer station for disposal. I can't put into words how much of a relief it was in Seattle knowing I had his help on the last day I would be in Oceanside, and that it was all set up. We wouldn't hesitate to use his services again if we needed help moving furniture and other household goods. His rates were reasonable, and within what we would expect for the work he did. And he never tried to raise his rates after the project started.
