Our waitress was a…read moresweetheart and I apologize for not remembering her name but everyone was equally great; from the hostess, waitress to everyone who brought food to our table. Our food was great as well. Zero complaints on what we ate that day. Orange juice was also very good. Even though it was busy, it wasn't loud and the crowds dispersed pretty quickly with how fast we were being served and it wasn't like we were rushed or anything.

Food was OK. What really did it for me was the cleanliness of the place - specifically the lack of…read morecleanliness of the staff. Most of the wait staff was wearing very tattered clothing and the worst offender was the bus boy. Although he was working his tail off, he looked like he hadn't showed in several days and hadn't washed his clothes in a week. His bus tub was disgusting. As he was cleaning the table beside us, he put the tub in the table top and as I turned my head to look over I lost my appetite seeing the condition of the tub. To know that he put it on top of the table made me even more disgusted. Not only was he bussing tables but he was also taking plates of food to tables. I, personally, would not have accepted food from him because it's very unlikely he washed his hands after cleaning tables off. Our waiter was nice but he looked very sloppy. I realize I'm not at a white table cloth restaurant but at least make sure the serve staff looks presentable. We won't be back.

I have to say hands down this is one of my absolute favorite places to go for a great home cooked…read moremeal like I used to have growing up. I have never had any issues with the staff because they honestly show you how the southern charm is and you can tell that it comes naturally for them as well. I love the way the restaurant seating area is, very calm, clean, and simple...I know a,lot of people nowadays prefer the whole flashy, more expensive decor and feel, simply because somehow the world has changed into the idea and lifestyle of "enough is NEVER enough"l so if you love the old ways as much as I do then you have to go by Mia's Cafe, I promise you won't regret it. I've built a reputation as an extremely honest reviewer of anything and everything I have ever tried, from products to places and anything else in between. So I make a point to always say this at the end of every review I make to let everyone know that as a reviewer (some call me an influencer but ‍) I give exactly my truth about it and it's impossible to get me to do anything else. So you now know that everything I said above is absolutely my truth. Have a great day/night whichever it is when you are reading this review

Everything we ordered was fresh, hot, and delicious, and the portions were generous for the price. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere made it a great place to relax and enjoy breakfast. If you're in the area and looking for a good breakfast spot, I would definitely recommend stopping here. We had a great experience and would come back again.

Sweet Hubs got another to go order from here a week or so ago. The order was someone else's order…read more Hubs is generally non picky and he enjoyed the meals received. I was surprised he liked hot sauce on his eggs, for example, and he said he did, which is great because one dish came with extra hot sauce. I reheated the grits the following day and they were actually good! That was the highlight of this take out meal for me. I thought the gravy in one of the dishes was sausage gravy, because doesn't everyone in the south add sausage to their gravy? But, it was just plain gravy. Boo! The eggs were pretty dead looking the next day (not their fault, I know), so I didn't try any of them. The bacon was undercooked for my preference but could have been easily remedied by popping in the air fryer. That was more effort than I wanted to expend on salvaging these dishes. Hubs is a biscuit fan and he was happy to devour whatever I did not, and again, he had no complaints which is excellent! I am not a biscuit fan at all, I just can't make myself like biscuit-forward dishes. I'm not even a fan of potatoes, which were in several of the dishes. They appeared to be prepared well, just did not appeal to me.

The chicken skin kept falling off the meat, the sweet and spicy chicken was way too hot, almost unbearable to eat for my girlfriend. And then the Caesar had too much anchovie taste which wasn't good. The Brussels sprouts needed to get cooked longer too. Overall it wasn't bad but not enjoyable, but corporate needs to change it back to the old chicken recipe.

They try enjoy the area occasionally to make the best of each moment and this was definitely a place for save in the "Favorites" collection! To begin with the atmosphere was inviting and modern. Photo op walls are the best, as well as detail oriented interior design down to plating. Hubby and I shared a half chicken of the honey dusted chicken and it was mesmerizing. Tender, not dry, seasoned just enough with their "bee dust," and sides were great as well. A lot more Brussels sprouts than I expected but was able to share, would probably get the fried okra next time. Biscuits for a cause and preserves I give a 7/10. The fruit was pretty runny, not like a jam, although the butter was great. Texture of the biscuit could be worked on but it wasn't dry or bland, just different which is why trying things is important! Don't know until you find out. Overall, pleasant service and meal after our convention!

Something came up making Friday a bad choice, so I made another reservation for Saturday and cancelled the on for Friday. Once again I got a text message for both the Friday cancellation and Saturday booking. The automated replies made it convenient. We arrived a few minutes before or reservation and were seated right away. They were quick to respect my request for a nearby booth, as I have a disability walking. We ordered the steak appetizer roles that were outstanding! My wife ordered a Caesar salad that was huge, along with the filet with a baked potato. When I looked at the menu days prior, I was eyeing the shrimp and grits, but after seeing nearby tables entrees, I quickly ordered the ribeye. Our server, Jesstina was off the wall spectacular! Our appetizer came out quick, and our main course came out soon after we were done enjoying our appetizers. She made sure our every need was taken care of, and her attitude was as if we were her long time friends. We were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary of 23 years, and the dining experience was perfect! Spectacular service, an outstanding food selection and a 10 out of 10! This was our first time at this Stoney River, but it won't be the last! And you can rest assured, we'll make sure Jesstina will be our requested server!

Stoney River delivers solid flavor and quality, and the ambiance makes the experience even better…read more The atmosphere is classy, dimly lit, and upscale without feeling overly formal. It is a great spot for a date night or a special evening out. We started with the crab cake. It was definitely good, flavorful, and nicely prepared, but at 18 dollars for a single crab cake, it felt a little steep. The standout of the night was the Wild Mushroom Meatloaf. It was hearty, well seasoned, and something I would absolutely reorder. We paired it with asparagus and Parmesan fries. The asparagus was fresh and succulently seasoned, cooked just right. The Parmesan fries were crispy and flavorful and made a great complement to the meal. I ordered the London Dip, which had good flavor overall, especially paired with the roasted wild mushrooms. That combination worked well together. However, for the price point, I think next time I might try something else on the menu. It was good, just not quite as memorable as the meatloaf. We also tried the smoked gouda mac and cheese, which was rich and tasty and definitely a solid side option. Overall, Stoney River offers good quality dishes with strong flavors in a classy setting that makes it perfect for date night. A few items feel priced on the higher side, but I would return, especially for that meatloaf.
