This was our first time eating at Eggs Up Grill in Huntsville Alabama. We met family for brunch this morning before heading home after a visit. The menu has plenty of choices, and I enjoyed the corn beef hash with two eggs sunny side up which was very good, others had chicken and waffles, scrambled eggs with biscuit and gravy, and strawberry pancakes. Coffee was consumed and refilled. Our server was pleasant and we enjoyed some back and forth banter. The restaurant was clean, and overall ambiance comfortable. We will return on our next visit to Huntsville. read more

We decided to check out Eggs Up Grill since we pass by them on a daily basis. Well let's just say after today's visit, we will continue to pass by. Now granted, it was a Saturday morning and they were very busy, but they were able to seat us in a booth. We were immediately greeted and ordered a cranberry mimosa carafe. You could tell, the champagne did not come from a freshly opened bottle because of the flatness and because there were very little champagne bubbles. We ordered the Philly cheesesteak with no onions or mushrooms and an order of potatoes and an order of French toast with fresh cracked cheese eggs and bacon. We waited for about 30 minutes plus in order to get our food. The French toast dish came out, but we noticed the eggs weren't shelled eggs and were powered eggs and the cheese was not melted. Those eggs tasted almost like the eggs you get at a hotel's continental breakfast, but worst. They weren't good at all. While I did enjoy the French toast and bacon, my friend's dish came out way later than mine and it was wrong. It had onions and mushrooms. Because of this, they did go ahead and serve him his potatoes. Our waiter did apologize and was able to comp the sandwich since it was wrong and it took a long time to originally receive it and then it took a long time to fix it. So all in all, the food was just subpar. As far as the restaurant, it was not clean. There were pieces of food all over the floor and I passed by a few crayons on the floor as I walked to the restroom. The restroom also was not clean and you could tell it hadn't been checked in a while. Also the soap dispenser was broken off the wall and lying on a table near the sink. Came here the day after thanksgiving for a quick morning breakfast. It was pretty tasty. Ordered the seasonal crème brûlée French toast with turkey sausage the price with a cup of coffee. The actual French toast was really good. I don't like a lot of sweet custard so the crème filling was a little much. Probably could have been just as tasty with just one layer of crème. So I scooped a layer off and gave it to my kid. I really appreciated the turkey sausage and bacon options since we don't eat pork. The service was great and timely. It's a pretty clean on normal sized establishment so we were seating in less than 30 mins. If you looking for a brunch option in the area I recommend checking it out. read more

The service was decent looks like they had too many people on the clock when we went because there were a few people leaning on their phone. The ambiance gave a wannabe upscale version of Waffle House. Oddly enough I've had better food and service from Waffle House in the Decatur in comparison to this place. Yum! I strolled in here early on a weekday and was lucky to get a seat even at 8am--this place fills up fast, and I can see why! It's bright, it's charming, and the menu has a lot of fun options (but isn't overwhelming). Though servers were overwhelmed with two VERY large tables (10+ people at each), I was quickly given my (yummy and strong) coffee and (score!) tomato juice. I didn't find the wait to be alarming, but the server thanked me for my patience when delivering my eggs benedict. The benedict was one of the better I've had, particularly in Huntsville. The english muffin was well toasted, the hollondaise had plenty of zing, and the eggs were (miracle of miracles) properly poached without runny egg whites. I loved the breakfast potatoes, and I liked that they were properly seasoned (a rarity). Pratical notes: the bathroom was spotless, servers are friendly, there may be a wait, and this is a family friendly joint (which is fine!) but be prepared as it can get a little loud. WIN. read more

Thanks to the Huntsville Economic Development Committee for bringing in another disappointing chain restaurant. We wanted to try a new food Venture at the Eggs Up Grill. Atmosphere was clean and breakfast like. Our waiter was very friendly and talkative. But that will not make up for the poor quality of food and how it's prepared. As usual way overpriced product. I don't consider breakfast to be just a morning meal, I'm happy to eat breakfast anytime of day. Eggs Up Grill is the perfect place to satisfy all of my breakfast cravings. Even though the restaurant was busy, we were still seated and greeted quickly. It took us a few minutes to get through the large menu but I don't know why I even had to look - I'm a breakfast purest - give me bacon and eggs any day/every day. We didn't have to wait long for our food. In front of me was a plate filled with scrambled eggs, 4 slices of crispy bacon, a large pile of home fries and the best part - raisin toast. Everything was good with the exception of the potatoes. They were very over seasoned and I couldn't eat more than a couple of bites. Next time I'll probably opt for grits. In addition to all day breakfast, there is a decent selection of lunch standby's too. My friend ordered a Cobb salad. She said it was very fresh though unremarkable. When at a breakfast place, order breakfast. The menu had all of the breakfast standards and a few that were a little atypical. Hash was identified several times as a house specialty. Having just arrived in Huntsville from Chicago, we stopped to get breakfast at Eggs Up Grill. There is a sign in the dining area stating that 86640 have been served here. That's amazing! The people are so nice here in Alabama. One of the servers, not even ours, saw my husband's Michigan hat and started a conversation about the college bowl games. He was a nice young man from the Pittsburgh area. Our server was also hospitable. Now that we have finished our meals, I'd like to report that it was delicious...especially my Coastal Eggs Benedict. I also noticed that they had some interesting mimosas. One was Cranberry and another made from apple cider. I would have tried the apple cider but we were driving to Birmingham, so I'll wait for another time. Thanks for a great breakfast! The dining area is a good size, so I felt comfortable with social distancing. My husband is a cancer patient, so we have to be careful. Good new place. I love breakfast and this is a good addition to the Madison restaurant scene. The menu is large, especially for a breakfast and lunch place; it was difficult to decide. I ordered the Homestead Platter with 2 eggs, four slices of bacon, 4 pieces of sausage, and a biscuit with sausage gravy. Everything was excellent! I really liked how they fried the bacon, crispy, but not overcooked, just right. The biscuit was sliced in half with a bowl of sausage gravy, some manual assembly was required ;). Also, I got a blueberry muffin to go that was excellent, sliced in half, covered in butter, and grilled on the flat-top. Yes siree!! The location is in the center of Madison near Publix on Hughes Road. It is a small place in the strip mall, and I expect the place will be packed when people discover it...psst don't tell anyone! The service was excellent. They have a motto of "Let me make you smile" and they certainly do that. Everyone is very friendly and excels at customer service. Although it is a chain franchise, it has a local place vibe. Amanda was very attentive and provided first-class service. I don't usually eat breakfast at breakfast time...but I do enjoy it for other meals. With that in mind, I came to EUG for lunch this past Monday. They were fairly busy around 11:45, which surprised me a little bit given it was a weekday and they close at 2. Good for them though! You seat yourself at this restaurant. I was flying solo and tried to take as small a table as possible. The only ones available still needed to be cleaned off, but I took one and someone came by relatively fast to clean it up for me. The interior of the restaurant is bright and sunshiney, perfect for an upbeat breakfast place. The menu is pretty large and has some kind of cool and unique concepts. It's mostly breakfast and brunch food, but they do have a couple standard American lunch type dishes, like a few burgers and other sandwiches like BLTs and cheesesteaks. It took a little while for me to get a menu and a clean table, but once that was done and I got into a groove with my waitress, she was exceptional. Very friendly, got my food and drink to me promptly, offered me a to go drink without me even asking, warm and polite demeanor. I didn't catch her name but she was great. For my meal, I wound up feeling a little experimental and ordered the southwestern bowl. It consists of home fries with ham, jalapeños, peppers and onions, pepperjack cheese, and eggs cooked to your desire -- I opted for scrambled. I also asked for no ham because that's not my breakfast meat of choice, which they accommodated happily. They did forget the sour cream and salsa that was supposed to come on the side, but my waitress fixed it quickly when I asked for it. I really liked this dish! The home fries were mostly crispy and not underdone (a couple of the bigger ones were a little dry, but nothing some sour cream couldn't fix). It really was actually somewhat spicy -- the jalapeños were punchy and acidic and the peppers brought a sweeter, more mellow heat. In a perfect world I prefer my scrambled eggs cooked a tiny bit runnier than these were, but I still enjoyed them a good bit. Mixing the bowl all together and getting every ingredient in each bite was really satisfying. I'd definitely order this again -- I finished it feeling satisfied but not gross or overstuffed. I thought the price was pretty reasonable, enjoyed my food, and appreciated the hard work my waitress put in. Good work, EUG! read more

I completely understand why this bustling breakfast/lunch spot is so busy. First time here, I was promptly greeted by the friendliest hostess, who offered me a booth despite being a solo diner. I chose the bar which I loved. Coffee was fantastic served piping hot. Hash and eggs with home fries was solid, everything seasoned very well. My bf and I visited this restaurant on a Friday morning. We walked in and there weren't many seats so we sat at the small bar area, which I loved. Our server was so kind and helpful. We got our meal incredibly fast, and my cold brew was so good. Everything I got was delicious, except for the breakfast potatoes, my bf didn't like them either. They have a different seasoning maybe, I'm not sure but we just weren't a fan of those. Biscuits were so good! Definitely going back to try the pancakes, they looked amazing. Last week, my daughter Chloe and I finally got to try Eggs Up Grill in Madison. We started out with the Caramel Cinnamon Smile iced coffee and some hot coffee drink that I can't remember the name of lol. Both were good but we really liked the iced coffee. We shared the Caramel Apple Pancakes (two buttermilk pancakes topped with apple pie crumble, caramelized Fuji apples, caramel sauce, and ordered sugar). They were really yummy and I would definitely order those again! I chose the Shrimp and Grits Omelette. I did not care for the grits, but enjoyed the omelette. It would have been better with some kind of sauce though, or more cheese, as it was a bit dry. Great flavor though! Chloe had the Southwestern Bowl (home fries topped with ham, jalapeños, onions, peppers, cheese, and two fried eggs). It had just the right amount of heat and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The food was tasty, but there are other choices in the area. I will make other choices in the future. On 1/17/2025 The management refused to lower the volume of the music. Twice the request was made. OUR party had difficulty hearing one another at the table. When we arrived at the restaurant, the volume was tolerable. At some point it became intolerable. Between the music and the man behind us taking a conference call with his phone on speaker, with the refusal by management to lower the volume, we had to leave. The only reason for staying any longer is because I needed a glass of water. After my request, my husband got his hot water for tea, and the waitress even went back to kitchen to exchange his green tea back for black tea. She needed to be told again. No apologies. Nothing truly exceptional about the food. Management needs work. read more

I might've been starving but this was the best Philly cheesesteak melt I've had (actually it was the first time I've had one) it was delicious . The crust was nice and buttery and fries with simple and crunchy. The service is really slow unfortunately and being a pregnant lady that means a lot . I'd love to go back but the fact they take so long makes me sad lol All in all I would definitely recommend trying if you want to add a new breakfast spot to your rotation. Was excited to try this place. It's in a nice area, clean, good variety on the menu, BUT... after we seated ourselves, no one came over until we had made eye contact a few times. Seth was friendly, but slow and needs some work on being a server. Combing his hair would be a good idea. No silverware on the table until we asked and after he poured the coffee. The coffee quality was fair. The server we asked for silverware was nice. One of our orders (toast, omelet and potatoes) Sat in the window getting cold while waiting for my eggs Benedict to come up. The eggs Benny were fair. The sauce was possibly from a mix, according to the taste. It could have been hotter. The highly recommended garlic cheese grits looked delicious, but all the flavors were on top and underneath the grits were bland. Our coffee got cold while Seth walked by our table 4 times, not stopping to ask to top it off. When he did ask, we were ready to go. A breakfast place should knock it out of the park. We went in around 10 am on a Monday. Sat ourselves as directed. There were 4 servers and they spent time standing behind the bar talking to each other while I sat trying to get their attention. After making eye contact with each one finally 1 came over after approximately 10 min waiting wonder which was our server. Ordered coffee and he didn't bring silverware so i had to get the attention of anyone to ask for silverware to stir sugar & creamer. I watch my food sit under the warming light for over 5 minutes while they waited for the 2nd order to be made. By the time the both came to the table, my potatoes were cold and the omelet was lukewarm at best. The toast wasn't warm enough to melt the better. Despite all of that the food wasn't good, especially cold. I would not recommend or return. read more

We tried Eggs Up Grill for the first time. My wife ordered the Classic Breakfast and I ordered the Breakfast Platter. I ordered online for pickup and that was easy and efficient to do. The app said it would be ready in 25 minutes and it was ready in 15 minutes. Everything was still nice and hot when I picked up my order. Everything was cooked perfect and tasted delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely be back to try more menu items. read more

So I tried it again. My last experience was horrible so I waited a few weeks and tried again. Service: she was new but she tried. For some odd reason our waitress was triple sat at the same time. She was obviously very new (different shirt) and you could tell by her not knowing the answers. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. However, while our waitress was talking to us our hostess interrupted her twice saying she needed to talk to her because it was important. Our waitress did the right thing and told her both times she would be there when she could. (Morning of 8/26). Food: The food was much better this time. I still dislike the potatoes. No seasoning. Just taste like dirty red potatoes. Other than that food was great. The bad: please tell the young man (only male server) to stop playing with his hair where the food is being served. And if he does feel the need, wash his hands. The guy non stops stands behind the bar playing with his combover thing he has going on. It's disgusting. The worst part about this experience was the "Founders Corn Beef Hash"..... It's literally canned corned beef hash that cost .99 at Kroger. No seasonings, no beef chunks, it was cat food.
