Delicious breakfast, great atmosphere and service! There are so many options to try that it was hard to settle on a choice. Opted for the Big Bad Skillet - which did not disappoint. The BBB "Crankshaft" Blend Coffee was strong and delicious. We're getting a BBB in my neighborhood soon and can't wait till it opens!

A friend recommended Big Bad Breakfast so we stopped in. It's a popular spot. The dining area is a little small considering the crowd they had that day (which wasn't a weekend). The service was ok. Not bad, not great. I ordered the Big Bad Skillet with a biscuit. The biscuit was good, especially with their homemade strawberry and raspberry jam/preserves. The skillet was just so-so. It was definitely NOT Big and Bad. I left there thinking I got tricked into having a Small Southern Snack instead of a Big Bad Breakfast.

Not your usual breakfast place. Ricki, my server, is a treasure! Her delightful personality and attitude, early in the morning is a welcome addition besides the coffee. I tried the Biscuit Crumble. Ricki answered my questions. I had never had tomato gravy, but she assured me it was good. I recommend this! The crumble of the biscuit, bacon, along with everything else paired well together. The food is good! My only criticism would be the hard chairs. Maybe I've gotten old, as my posterior isn't as welcoming to hard, flat surfaces. Also, the coffee tasted a bit burnt. Not bad enough not to drink, but noticeable. All in all, I do recommend! Moved here from Phoenix, and glad to hear a true Southern accent, and be around people who know how to fix grits!

Looking for great coffee? Look no further than BBB. The service was decent.. we sat at the bar and as usual bar service can be a hit or miss. My husband ordered the chicken and Waffle. I ordered the Ham sandwich with fries and a side of grits. The chicken and waffle was amazing but the ham sandwich I could've made at home. We also ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee vanilla & caramel. Both were amazing. They do get busy so seating can be scarce, but they are great for groups.

Visited here for a late breakfast/early lunch while trying to kill time before a doctor's appointment. I had pretty high expectations for this place, having heard it raved about for many years in both Mississippi and Alabama. I remember the buzz of excitement when it was announced BBB was expanding to the area and I was excited too. This restaurant occupies a former bbq joint and you can sort of tell -- there's a non-functional drive through window and it's clear the restaurant has seen some wear and tear over the years, as has the parking lot. It's been spruced up, for sure, but I just don't know if the vibe is quite as bougie as the menu, drinks, and pricing. There's a large bar in the center of the restaurant but most of the rest of the seating is kind of uncomfortable tables and chairs. The bathroom was clean, though the wallpaper was...certainly a choice. See photo. Not a big deal, but wow, some of those images are kind of terrifying, lol. It took a couple of minutes to be seated despite the hostess booth being right next to where employees can cash out orders and several waitstaff walking/congregating next to me and it not being terribly busy. However, once I was seated, my waitress was prompt and friendly enough, and my food came out quite quickly. I wouldn't say service was stellar, but it was certainly fine, no major complaints. The sweet tea to drink was yummy. For my entree, I ordered the "Yard Work" skillet, which is two eggs, a variety of different veggies, potatoes, and cheese pretty much all scrambled together in a skillet. It came with my choice of bread; of course I had to have a biscuit. Overall, the food was...okay? Really nothing special but not bad either. The eggs were cooked nicely. The avocado / closer to guac spooned on top was brownish and unappealing but I didn't want avocado anyway, so I just pushed it off. I enjoyed the slight funkiness from Swiss cheese. But I wish the potatoes had been cubed or crispy; I guess the ultimate problem was it was all a similar texture of...kind of slimy. Eggs, spinach, mushrooms, all kind of slimy. I really liked my first couple of bites but the texture really started to wear on me quickly. I ate maybe half of it before I couldn't do it anymore. The biscuit was very disappointing -- simultaneously dry and gluey, not flakey at all. I did enjoy the strawberry jelly. They had a lot of jelly flavors to choose from, which is fun. I dunno, I think this place has potential, but I definitely ordered the wrong thing for me on that day, I guess. I'd consider returning to try something different, but that being said, there are a lot of breakfast/brunch options in the area and I'd also like to try my luck there, too.

Run, don't walk to this new breakfast hot spot in Madison, (near Huntsville) for sweet or savory breakfast offering something for everyone! Located off hwy 72, this new breakfast spot had a line out the door for a reason! Friendly service from the moment we arrived, hostess informed us walk up bar seating was available on first come first served basis in addition to getting on "waitlist". We only waited 20 minutes to be seated and our delicious breakfast was served shortly after! Standouts were the chicken and waffles, stone grits and the french toast. The vegetarian sausage patties were the best we've ever tasted! BBB, makes all of their tasty preserves in-house, as well as a tangy, medium spicy green hot sauce, which we were happy to discover was available for purchase. The Manager walked around checking on everyone and our server Damon was friendly and helpful as we navigated the menu.

Everything was good and the service was great. It's solid breakfast food. No frills experience. Great craft cocktails! I wish they had a non pork breakfast meat options (sausage or bacon) but other than that it was good!

I finally visited this new resturant in Madison. I've heard good things about it, but I was not impressed. The menu has a wide variety of breakfast items and many items have a cajun flare (bonus points). I ordered a regular BBB breakfast of eggs, sausage (patty), hash cakes, biscuit, and coffee. The coffee was really bad. Maybe a bad pot? The bottom of the pot? Mixed wrong? Don't know, but it has a really bad taste. Although offered refills, I didn't accept nor finish the original mug. The plating of the food didn't look appealing. As can be seen from the picture the items were just placed on a large plate making the portion size look even smaller. The eggs were ok, nothing to brag or complain about. The sausage was hot and surprised me. I asked the waiter and he said it was their normal plain patty sausage. I like hot sausage so it was good for me, but I speculate may be disappointed. The hash cakes tasted like frozen hash browns cakes from the freezer. The biscuit was large but heavy and came with a small dab of butter. Also, I ordered a biscuit & gravy to take home for the wife who said the gravy was uneditable. The total before tip was $24.47, which is a little high, especially considering the food quality.

Came here for breakfast on Black Friday! Busy, but we sat at the bar. I enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the restaurant. I ordered the breakfast plate: over easy eggs, chicken sausage, grits, and toast. Toast comes with homemade jam - peach, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, etc. Eggs were a bit watery for my liking & the grits were really tasty. My husband ordered the biscuit crumble, which he said was great! The bar server was busy, but very attentive and apologetic. Our food came out before our drinks literally waited maybe 10 minutes for food. Good Bloody Mary the pickled okra is always a lovely touch, but I still want my olives!! Manager was walking around greeting patrons and making sure things were running smoothly. This is a great addition to the area!

Good was delicious. Everything tasted very fresh. Biscuit was big and fluffy. Food was flavorful. Checked out this place for the first time while in town visiting my son and we really enjoyed it. Our server was Christine and she was sweet and attentive. We will definitely come back.

I was surprised he liked hot sauce on his eggs, for example, and he said he did, which is great because one dish came with extra hot sauce. I reheated the grits the following day and they were actually good! That was the highlight of this take out meal for me. I thought the gravy in one of the dishes was sausage gravy, because doesn't everyone in the south add sausage to their gravy? But, it was just plain gravy. Boo! The eggs were pretty dead looking the next day (not their fault, I know), so I didn't try any of them. The bacon was undercooked for my preference but could have been easily remedied by popping in the air fryer. That was more effort than I wanted to expend on salvaging these dishes. Hubs is a biscuit fan and he was happy to devour whatever I did not, and again, he had no complaints which is excellent! I've been wanting to visit since they first opened and have been anxiously watching their social media for coverage of the beautiful dishes and drinks, looking forward for my chance to try their food. But this first visit did not at all live up to the hype or my expectations. I came on a Thursday about three weeks ago after my annual doctor's visit. It was around 11:15 when I arrived. Note this restaurant is in the bustling Providence area. It's an attractive and somewhat upscale shopping and dining destination and parking can be a bit of a challenge. I found the parking lot of a nearby hotel that had ample spots, so I took one of those and marched over. It did look like there was a parking garage not too far away. Anyway, the restaurant was about 1/3 full when I arrived. The hostess asked if it was just me, which I confirmed. She asked if I was okay to sit at the bar. My preference would honestly have been a table or booth, even a two top, but I told her whatever was easiest for her was okay with me, and so to the bar I went. The bartender took my order and brought my food and mostly left me alone, which was also more my preference. He was nice enough in our interactions and food was served in a timely manner. After I ordered is when things started to go downhill. First, I asked a waitress where the restroom was and set off for a visit. Despite it being earlyish in the morning, one stall was already filthy enough I didn't want to use it, and the other one was out of toilet paper. Fortunately I noticed before using it! I came back to my seat and was served water in a carafe. It wasn't particularly cold but the bigger problem than that was that it smelled like dirty dishwater when I poured it in my cup. Not sure if my glass was still dirty or the water itself was, but suffice to say, it wasn't pleasant. Next, my food arrived. I ordered the breakfast burrito with a side of fries. Others have commented negatively on the pricing here, but my experience was slightly different. I ultimately wound up being charged for just the entree. The description for the burrito does not indicate it comes with a side. I assumed I'd pay for the burrito + side, which was going to be ~$25. THAT is a price tag I'd say is too high, but I was ultimately charged for just the entree, which was ~$16. I still think that's a bit much for the quality and size of the food I was served, but I can see how it would be acceptable under better conditions. That said, I'm not sure if the burrito does come with a side that's included in the price OR if they just forgot to charge me for a side. Anyway...the food. The fries were the best part at exactly average. They looked pretty and were crispy enough. It was a pretty paltry serving even for the price I was charged; it would've been a VERY paltry serving at the $9 (!!!) a side of fries was listed as on their menu at time of visit. Ultimately though, my main grievance is with the burrito. It needed work in about every aspect. It was put together poorly, with almost all bites I took very uneven in terms of filling, and watery sauce dribbling out before I even took my first nibble. I did ask for no avocado, but even with that in mind, I thought the amount the burrito was filled was pretty disappointing - it was tiny and heavy on the tortilla. My first few bites were only of egg and a few bacon bits - no sign of cheese, tater tots, green onions, or chipotle aioli to be found. The eggs badly needed salt or really any flavoring at all. Eventually, several more bites in, I discovered some cheese and some tater tots, but even then, the flavor-meter was pitifully low -- idk how you make a tater tot not salty enough, but these surely weren't. For a while I was convinced that they'd put some sort of very strange glaze on the bacon because it started tasing oddly sweet (à la candied bacon), but I eventually could only come to the conclusion it was the very watery, very pale chipotle aioli I was tasting. I was expecting that to be slightly spicy and definitely thicker/more mayonnaise-y, but given the listed ingredients, that's the only thing it could've been unless something went very wrong in the kitchen and some other sauce was put on my burrito. The one slightly saving grace was the green salsa, which added heat, if not a ton of flavor, to the dish. I am both mad and sad to say that I have had Taco Bell breakfast burritos that beat this one by a country mile. I really like the design and interior of this place and the menu looks promising. The service was fine. People whose opinions on food I respect have lovely things to say about Loona's dishes. I can only assume/hope my first experience was a very odd one-off. I'd be willing to try again some time in the future, but for now, this was not at all what I was hoping for from a visit.

Cheyenne was our server and she did a good job! She was friendly, professional and knowledgeable! Cheyenne brought us complimentary biscuits and butter (or maybe another type of sauce) that my Sisters said were delicious! They were extra fluffy and baked correctly. We three shared the Steak Egg Rolls that were actually really good, very creamy and rich, and unique. I did not try the sauce/sauces that came with them. They were served at the correct temperature and a nice, rich appetizer that I would recommend! Sister #1 ordered the "Stoney River Breakfast Skillet" which was attractively plated in a skillet and appeared to be the correct temperature and her eggs were cooked to her liking. She was off put by the cheddar cheese that topped the skillet off - it looked very artificial (meaning bright orange yellow) and as if, instead of cheese, the egg yolks were sort of sitting atop the skillet. She's not a huge complainer and she finished the skillet. Sister #2 ordered the shrimp and grits, described as "...Cajun sauteed shrimp, Worcestershire cream reduction, bacon, cheese grits." The plate looked nice; however she said the shrimp were "beyond rubbery and more of the texture of shoe leather." I kept encouraging her to send it back and order something else and she said she said she was "hungry and it is edible." She did say the grits were excellent. Sister #1 and I tasted the sauce of the shrimp and grits and both of us found it very "tomato flavor forward and oddly sweet." Christine's lunch was a disappointment. Also, she should have sent the dish back, in my opinion, I'm sure Stoney River would have made it right. I got the small filet, I think it was seven ounces, cooked medium rare with asparagus. You get one side with this dish which is fine. The steak, once again, was cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly with no need to add any salt/pepper and it was nicely seared! The steak was delicious! We had wine, which was good, too! We did not get dessert and were offered more "biscuits" to go (which seemed odd to me, it was like 2:30 in a very hot afternoon and I wasn't interested in carting biscuits around in a hot car); however, it was a thoughtful gesture. Last comment I have is no fault of Stoney River's, it's a "Clift Farms" thing, at least the Development Fee is Clift Farms specific, I don't know the "wine tax" fee. I really dislike fees. My $200.00+ bill included a three percent "development fee" of $5.58, a "Wine Tax" of $4.18 (I've never seen that before, what is a wine tax?) and regular "Sales Tax" of $6.36. Thank you for the friendly professional service and the extremely clean, comfortable in-person restaurant dining experience!
