Ordered through door dash. Horrible experience! Will never order from the Bob Wallace store again…read more Shorted on dressing went back in to get extra dressing. They argued with me about 1 dressing. Chrissy, Lord of the Balsamic, was very nonchalant and when I asked for a manager was completely indifferent about the situation. Told me the manager was not there that they went to another store to get a blender. I said I'd wait. Not once did they even offer for me to buy an extra dressing or even apologize. It was just a "too bad so sad" non caring environment. Once the manager came back to the store it was clearly F U to me. Then I realized once I opened the salad they made it wrong. They basically told me my eyes were lying and what was clearly NOT in the salad was there. I am reporting them to the better business bureau as I can not covey in words how this experience made me feel. I was shamed for using door dash or adding an extra dressing or literally showing them there was no romaine lettuce on my salad... Or maybe it was that I had the nerve to say something about it. Or maybe it was because I'm not a certain favorable race? I've ordered from there a whole lot and now I regret it.

What a gem in Huntsville. Being a vegan is difficult at some places but not here. This place is…read moreunashamedly vegan - ie, it doesn't try to "faux meat" anything but lets the legumes, rice, greens etc stand on their own merit. The food was fresh, healthy and a great value for money. We ordered Elote Bowl and the Mediterranean bowl. Both were really good and so plenty that we needed to carry the boxes away. They also have designed the takeaway boxes very thoughtfully. Only advice is to go sparse on the dressings - We felt that medium was towards a lot for us and next time we will order low amount of dressings. All in all - a great institution serving the public with honest, clean and unapologetically vegan food.

I took my brother and his family it LuCa before I left town for a present and was very surprised…read more The decor was luscious, white table cloth chic and offered a menu that rivals the menu. We ate outside while the weather was nice and were treated to the server that was very attentive to the table. The ragu+taglietelle was fantastically cooked w/ a bite to it (al dente) and the sauce was a tomato based meat sauce ragu that was pretty good for the price (I'm a bit snobby about ragu/bolognese). It was a great dish to me and the other dishes were as good, there isn't a bad dish I've had on the menu... it has been nothing but great experiences. LuCa competes with other Italian spots for fancy dinners here in Huntsville, but it is at the top of my list and viewed as one of the few places that are worth the price to me. I'll return here for the specials and other fancy dinners or meals, as the food and experiences are that good.

My two Sorority Sisters and I visited this restaurant for the first time last Friday. It is loud…read moreinside, y'all? Beyond loud! And, being a Friday night was packed! We sat outside. Let me preface this by saying I don't care for Italian food, it's heavy creamy, and pasta centric...all the things I don't like. When we went to Italy I loved on minestrone soup and had chicken one time. I actually lost weight which was a nice bonus! We came here because my Sisters were hungry and we thought it would be a fun place to try. Our server was efficient. They do offer a sizeable wine selection and we got some samples to taste before deciding on a bottle which was a nice touch. Unfortunately I found the samples to be lacking in any real flavor reminiscent of Greek wines. Drinkable? Absolutely. Delicious? No. Also, one of my Sisters saw one of her best friends and her husband and wanted to introduce all of us which she did and they stood at our small table in the crowded area catching up. Within minutes we were fussed at for "being too loud" in a crazy loud restaurant. I saw nothing out of line on our interaction and found this "fussing at" very uncalled for. So friend and husband left (they were on the way out anyway) and we went on with our meal hoping to not be fussed at again. My Sisters got the meatballs and liked them, and enjoyed the bread service with olive oil they added some spices to and I got the antipasti (sp?) that we all shared. The meats in this dish were delicious and nearly all the cheeses, especially the large soft hunks of Bleu cheese were delicious! The highlight of the meal for me. The olives were small and could have benefitted from a light tempura batter (not Italian, I know) to add some textural variety and could have been better with larger olives and maybe some stuffed with that delicious Bleu cheese. One of the cheeses was inferior to me, sort of flavorless and maybe that's because the Bleu cheese was so outstanding it just couldn't compare. I don't see myself returning to this restaurant even for a single glass of wine. It was loud, sort of contentious, and offers dishes I don't personally love. Thanks Osteria for drinkable white one and good Bleu cheese and meats in the one appetizer dish!

Could this possibly be a low key sleeper/high key banger of a local Italian restaurant in…read moreHuntsville? On first pass... It's a big possibility. Terranova (in Madison) and Bravo both went to the upper room. Amerigo's, Luigi's, Osteria Luca, Mangia, Mazzara's, Nick's, and SaZa, remain. Oh there's also Nonna's and Zanotta's too... But I've not been to either yet. And then there's Terra. It's next to Newks and CiCi's pizza (which might as well be immortal) and for the life of me o can't remember what was in the space. No matter. Why? Because it's a potential strip mall gem. I just ran across one of these in the Orlando area a few months back. So we pulled up for Father's Day with a last minute reservation because, well, father's day isn't mother's day... But I REFUSED to grill. Nevertheless my little ladies made and ran the play and all I had to be was chauffeur. The staff was welcoming from the jump and didn't seem to notice how thin the crowd was. I didn't mind either, tbh... I like to find sleepers. The menu is... Fairly extensive. Apps come with the American Italian classics like bruschetta, fried calamari and fried mushrooms, and mussels but there's also crudo (yellow fin), clam casino, carpaccio, and polpette tre carni. Crab and avocado toast is what we tried in addition to the calamari and both were good. There's a gazpacho with shrimp ceviche the raised an eyebrow --maybe a little Spanish influence in the kitchen? I'll try it next time. There's a few pizzas as well from the classic margherita to prosciutto to a focosa and a scarpariello...so kids and kin For pastas, again, there's a lot. Their classic Carbonara is really good and I'll come back to see what the gnocchi, the bolognese and the linguine alle vongole The seafood risotto adds slivers of asparagus but it rivals some of the best in town. There's maybe 1 spot that tops it. Maybe. The menu features flounder, cod, and salmon along with some clucks and moos as well. I like the French lentils and rice as well. Again, an unexpected but appreciated Desserts include a homemade tiramisu, cheesecake, cannoli (pretty good) and Gelato. Food: 4.25/5.00 - I'm always coming for seafood pasta or risotto on the first run. T Atmosphere: 3.75/5.00 - It's strip mall chic. But clean. Service: 4.00/5.00 new but solid and friendly. X-factor: 4.25/5.00 access and surprise quality go hard here. Overall: 4.1/5.0 by the numbers but... There's a big surprise and solid factor that bumps this enough for me to round to 5 stars . A second visit will confirm. It's either gonna be a bar run or lunch.
