    Horchata Iced Coffee

Loved our breakfast here at Loona's. Service was amazing and the food was yummy too! The interior is modern, clean and tastefully out together. We tried the breakfast sandwich, the Brekkie Platter and their Horchata iced coffee and Sweater Weather warm coffee (December visit). The food was delicious and the tater tots were seriously the best I've had in a bit (hot, crunchy, pillowy & well seasoned). Meals out the kitchen took a little longer than expected for breakfast food and no crowd but it wasn't offensively slow. Parking is a pain but we lucked up and found something (we went at 8AM during the week). Will definitely return when we are on that side of town.

This is a fantastic new addition to Providence. We came here on New Year's Day for brunch and thankfully we made a reservation. Definitely make a reservation if you can. Showing up without one might mean it's not possible to be seated. The restaurant had very clean and beachy decor. Everything they had looked good. If you come after 10, you can also get the lunch items. I got the steak frites. The presentation of all the food and drinks was beautiful. The drinks took a little long to come out, but everything was good otherwise. I will definitely come back.

Tried Loona's for new years day brunch and it was fabulous! I recommend making reservations on their site as they do get busy. The interior decor is quite lovely, with nods to Australian surfing. They also have outside seating for warmer days. They seemed short staffed, but even so the service was great, and the food was wonderful. Got the breakfast margarita and the Loona's breakfast plate, it was all delicious, well presented and balanced with fresh ingredients. Looking forward to going back!

Nice addition to the Providence area. Definitely make a reservation as the seating are is on the smaller side. 100% an ambiance beach vibe spot -- wanted to love the food, but just didn't this time. Maybe I ordered wrong? I did however love the coffee very delicious. My friend and I both ordered the egg sandwich- basically scrambled eggs, cooked onions, sauce on brioche bun -- I wish it was served on different bread, overall just kind of bland. Would've loved an addition of protein on it without the additional price tag. My mother ordered à la cart toast, bacon, grits, and ham. Her jam was definitely the best thing I tasted at brunch. The grits had a strange flavor I couldn't put my finger on and the bacon wasn't as crispy to my liking. I would love to come back and try some different things since the restaurant is truly beautiful inside, gets a little crowded with people waiting, etc. Good addition to the area

Definitely recommend making reservations. We were sat very quickly due to having reservations which was really nice for a Sunday morning. The waitress was really sweet and made a few recommendations as well. We started with the banana bread bites with has this soft cream cheese topping and fruit and it could easily be a dessert. I ordered the ricotta toast which is a whipped ricotta spread with fresh fruit on a piece of toast. And it was delicious, but im not sure if it was worth the $14 for one piece of toast. I added on a side of bacon and got 4 slices for $6. The full breakfast was probably the best deal for 24$ and it came with the ham, eggs, avocado, goat cheese, mushrooms, and a tomato arugula salad. Overall i think it was all very delicious and the atmosphere is very nice and posh. I will be back!

I was referred to Loona's Cafe by two different people and so decided to check them out. It is an Australian inspired restaurant. You can definitely tell from the modern fixtures that this is a one of a kind restaurant. Once you step inside, it fells like you're not even in Huntsville. The ambiance is fresh and gives beachy vibes. You don't have to have a reservation, but I highly suggest you do so because they were packed. I believe they are open from 7a-2p, which are pretty decent hours. They are a 'breakfast-brunch' type of restaurant. Unfortunately, they don't have carafes, but they do have your typical brunch beverages like mimosas and Bloody Mary. We told our waitress this was our first time there and you would think that should have 'prompt' her to share some recommendations, but she didn't. After we asked lol, she gave us a few suggestions and so we decided to get the shrimp and grits and the Nashville hot chicken Bennie sandwich. The shrimp and grits were very delicious. The grits were very creamy, well seasoned, and that sausage gravy really made the dish. I believe the dish had 5 shrimp, which I wish based on the size of the shrimp, that they provided a few more or that they served jumbo shrimp instead. Nonetheless the dish was superb. The Nashville hot chicken Bennie sandwich was a hit too. It came with two decent sized chicken tenders coated in hot sauce. The chicken was very tender, not dry at all, also well seasoned, and per the menu, it was free of antibiotics and hormones, which was a plus. We didn't want the two poached eggs that came on the sandwich, so they offered to make us a side of scrambled eggs. All in all, very delicious food and an awesome atmosphere so will definitely be back to try something else on the menu. P.S. My only complaint about my visit is they had some doors wide open, which allowed for flies to come into the restaurant. While trying to enjoy our food, we were having to shoo away flies and gnats, which became a nuisance. I do hope that if they decide to keep the doors open that they get a restaurant curtain that should help keep flies away rather than just the small table fly fans that weren't actually on any tables.

Loona is the owner's Australian Shepherd dog. He sometimes brings Loona by this cafe. Good luck finding a close parking space. It helps if you can parallel park.

This place is soo cute & the food is delicious. We were looking for a great breakfast place before leaving Huntsville & this is definitely one. The dining area inside is welcoming & very clean. Service was great! My only gripe is that the high table we were seated in was not leveled. So anytime we cut in to our food, table would shake & spill our drinks. I did let the hostess know so hopefully it'll be fixed. Minor thing really. Still highly recommend this place.

This place was super cute! I absolutely loved the outdoor dining area. When we first arrived there was a small line (but I think because they had a new hostess) she was very friendly and happy, we sat pretty quickly. Our waitress took quite a bit to come to the table for us to order drinks. By the time she did come by we were ready to order the food as well. The food did not take long at all and it was beautifully prepared. It tasted just as good as it looked. And the price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend having brunch here and will definitely come back.

Loona's is for the aesthetic girls!!! Came here to hide from the 30-degree weather this December. The whole place has this cozy, beachy 30A vibe that just works. The breakfast burrito- yummy. We grabbed a chai and a cookie butter latte. Zero notes. Such a cute spot- I will be returning

Waited around for someone to greet us upon arrival & then some confusion about our reservation. Food was ok/good but had to wait till my husband FINISHED his coffee before receiving my tea. Everything else was bad. Expensive ($70 for two), crowded with bad seating & uncomfortable chairs I couldn't lean back in placed between a popular door (constantly letting in the cold) and a crowded bar where a clueless couple crowded our table to speak to two women at the bar. They would NOT leave and waitress did nothing to encourage them to leave until seating was available. Instead , WE packed up our $70 worth of food and left. Do not recommend.

The food I ordered. Mango was not eatable. Never had micro greens with mushy pancakes.

Service was great, ambiance was very nice. Food too frufoo when did Aussie food turn into California type food. Pancakes with microgreens really. This no shrimp on the barbie style food. No in their defense it was a soft opening. So I'll give it another chance after seeing their full menu.

The smashburger might be the best in town. It's double patty, perfectly seared and comes with fries or tots.

I walked in a little past 1pm, having studied the chalkboard outside with a delightful-sounding selection of spring specials. As I'm ordering, the barista and I alike see another group walk in. And another. And another-- I'm not seeing anyone else in the rather small physical establishment, and as a former barista am beginning to sweat a bit for this Greenroom employee and all of the orders he is about to have to deal with, seemingly by himself (cue the cheerful chime announcing more customers, and more customers). As I wait for my order, grateful to be the first in this long line, I sit to casually read a book and take my opportunity to observe my fellow patrons of this fine little spot. I hear the barista asking customers if they're okay with waiting, and he begins to ask customers if they're okay with waiting a minute for their orders. I'm content, as I have no urgent arrangements, and the now plastic-gloved barista comes up to me, informing me that they have no lime to garnish the avocado toast I've ordered and asking if that was okay. I assert as much and he returns to the line; I think to myself that he could have saved the time and not told me and I wouldn't have known the difference, but I'm pleased with his attention to detail. I get my to-go box of avocado toast with an egg and am pleased to open it and try a bite. I feel that it could have done with red pepper flakes (my favorite), but the everything bagel seasoning added a nice texture and the overall flavor profile was delightfully savory. As for my drink, which came later, it was the Good Riddance: a vanilla cold brew with lime pie cold foam (which lived up to the name tremendously). It also had what I believe to be graham cracker or pie crust crumbles on the top that were delightful! The drink was delicious and perfect for the spring weather. I sit upstairs as I always do, but specifically on the patio where I can see all of MidCity and the surrounding businesses. There's nonintrusive and enjoyable music presumably coming from the Camp itself? After an hour or so of enjoying my spoils, I return to the counter below to see if the barista is still there now that the rush is over. He is now accompanied by another coworker, blessedly, and I learn that his name is Caleb. We chat for a few moments and I introduce myself before leaving, but not before taking another picture of all the event calendars for the week and month. Now I'm positively fueled for my afternoon and grateful for the relaxed atmosphere. (Thanks for reading this far if you did, and shoutout again to Caleb for doing his job tremendously! He informed me that he enjoys a good rush of customers, and I replied that I would have cried to have been in the situation that he handled with great poise and dedication. The great service alongside the excellent product left me wanting to return quickly!)

It's in the Research Park area, not too far off from University Drive. It's tucked away a little bit, next to the new Viet Crispwich restaurant, but on the bright side there's plentiful parking. The vibes are pretty much immaculate here. Bright, cheerful, airy, but also private if you need -- there are several reclusive booths covered by archways, a perfect hidden away spot to work on a laptop or something. They have cute merchandise and even dedicated items and areas to keep little ones entertained. There's seating indoors and a couple of patio tables and chairs outside too. Service was pleasant enough. We didn't chat much but I was greeted and smiled at and my beverage was ready in a timely manner, so that's all you really need. The menu has coffee classics and then a few seasonal specials. There's matcha too, at least currently. There are supposed to be some baked goods for snackage, but when I visited at about 10:30 on Monday, they only had a few cookies and a brownie. I was hoping for something more in the realm of banana bread or a muffin, but they were wiped out. Maybe Monday is a restock day. They're only open til 2 PM, so definitely a morning/early afternoon hangout only. I got an iced salted caramel latte to go, and I enjoyed it well enough. To me, I really didn't taste any salted caramel, but it was a good iced latte: rich, smooth, almost buttery, and not too bitter. Not as sweet as I'd like but that's often the case with what I consider more "serious" coffee places like this one. If you enjoy coffee, I think you'll like this coffee. It was certainly strong coffee, cause my husband said it was basically emanating off me when I got home. lol. Give them a try and don't forget to take a cute picture with their gorgeous mural! We gave the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe the staff had been asked for the same item multiple times or something but when it was our turn they seemed so annoyed and like they couldn't be bothered at all. The inside of the place is beautiful though and the little booths seemed cozy. Maybe it was just one of those days and we got unlucky but I wouldn't make the trip again.
