The girl who took our order was incredibly friendly, and the service was quick from the moment we walked in. I ordered Dad's Egg Sandwich, and Mom got the Vegetable Frittata. The bacon on my sandwich was the standout--nice, thick, and perfectly cooked. My only complaint is that the menu mentioned garlic, but I honestly couldn't taste any. If you're going to promise garlic, I want to taste garlic! Mom really enjoyed her frittata, although I think she's getting a little tired of egg dishes lately. She especially loved the toast and whatever butter they served with it. It almost tasted like maple butter, and it was delicious. The fresh fruit was also excellent (I happily finished Mom's!). My only real complaint is the size of the restaurant. It's a cozy space, but I can see it getting crowded very quickly during the breakfast rush. Overall, everything was wonderful. Friendly staff, fast service, and a delicious breakfast. We'll definitely be back!

This restaurant is open for breakfast and brunch. They really aren't a lunch type of place to me. There are a few salads, soup, and a few sandwiches. Mostly they have lots of varieties of breakfast foods. We walked in and stood at the front hostess stand about 7 to 8 minutes. I contemplated grabbing menus and finding a place to sit since there wasn't a sign that said wait to be seated or seat yourself. About the time I grabbed menus, an employee approached the hostess stand. She said there was a sign to wait to be seated and I asked her to show it to me. She apologized for the missing sign. We were seated and began looking at the menu. Our server, Logan, showed up and was very friendly. He brought us water to the table and when we were ready, he took our orders. Dave had two eggs over medium, bacon, toast, and fried potatoes. His bacon was cooked like he likes it, the fried potatoes were crunchy, the toast buttered and his eggs perfect. 5/5 I ordered an omelet with ham, bacon, sausage, mushrooms and onions. My dish came with greens with a lemon vinaigrette. The kitchen forgot to put the vinaigrette on. I ordered a side of potatoes. The potatoes were delicious with a nice crunch. My omelet was dry. The eggs were tough and rubbery. It was difficult to cut the eggs with my fork. This is the first time I have had an omelet that was this dry. 3/5 If you are in South Huntsville on Airport Road, please stop by First Watch. I will be back to try other breakfast foods soon. 4/5

I looked at the floors, tables and chairs. The restaurant could use some love. Some tabletops looked very worn and the cushions on chairs have seen better days. My friend ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. I ordered a chef's salad and got Dave 3 pieces of catfish, fried okra and fries. She said her grilled chicken was good and so were the sweet potato fries. 4/5 My chef's salad with ranch was good. Not great because there were old pieces of lettuce mixed in. The chicken and ham were half the portion from my last visit and diced do small I couldn't taste chicken or ham. The bacon was good and I could taste it. 3/5 Dave's catfish was excellent. He had 3 nice size fillets, fried okra and fries that he thoroughly enjoyed. There was a slice of onion added which was a bonus. 5/5 If you are looking for a good meal like grandma made, give Rolo's a try. They have meals with meat and 2, sandwiches, burgers, vegetables, burgers, and desserts. Southern home cooking y'all.

One of my first bosses at my current job took me to lunch here at Rolo's back in 2004. To me, the model train that encircled the restaurant was the highlight of our lunch. Yup, Rolo's has been in business since 1991, or 34 years now. I had either the chicken and dumplings, or the pork chop. The ambiance is typical of your meat and threes, with lots of booths and the restaurant was clean when I visited. The strip mall it is in has been painted in the last couple of years and has a fresher appearance. It is cool they offer a military discount, per their website it is 5 per cent. It is also cool they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I've only had lunch here. If you are a fan of classics like pot roast, chicken and dumplings, country fried steak, catfish, fried okra, mashed potatoes, buttermilk cornbread, and biscuits, you would likely enjoy Rolo's!

This restaurant is located…read moreinside the Botanical Gardens but you don't need to pay to eat here, it's located next to the gift shop. Sometimes the food venue in a place like this can be terrible and over priced -- this isn't the case with Fern & Feast Bistro. The food selection here is pretty decent, sandwiches, tacos, salads, burgers, flatbreads etc, most in the $9-12 range. They have some kid options (chicken nuggets, grilled chese, quesadilla, etc) for picky eaters at $6 each. Downside is that the sandwiches etc don't come with fries or chips, so that could increase your meal price. I ordered the Uber sandwich because I feel like that is a good gauge of how the food will be and is pretty standard at most restos. Mine was served relatively quick on an environmentally friendly plate made if recycle paper products (I don't care all that much but I know some people will appreciate that touch). Club was delicious, but make sure to grab mustard and mayo. Bread was toasted just the right amount; it had some char but was not too dry or crunchy. Lettuce and tomato were fresh, and the proportions and amounts of the turkey, ham and beacon was great. But the best reason to come to this place is the scenery. From the back of the narrow seating area you can grab a seat that looks out over the Botanical Gardens or of you keep going back they have outdoor seating available. The weather was wonderful today and so I ate my sandwich on the patio taking in nature and avoiding the man with three children who all needed discipline in their life inside. If you're looking for a place to stop and relax with decent food while the weather is good - this is your place. Give it a shot!
