Came here with my best friend and another good friend....just Yelped places bc I'm vegan and they aren't ...lol...so I know the name has "Whisky" in it but didn't suspect any dissatisfaction ... but it was noisy ok par for the course, drafty....comfort level? Not good. They had one dish that was vegan & it was good.... my other friend a chicken sandwich which had rave reviews....but I could see myself it was burnt and had these very dark weird tiny "chips"...which were horrid... my best friend had I'm not even sure it's been about a month now. Last time my husband and I went here we left after being ignored at the bar for about 10 minutes. We said we wouldn't go back but we did and it was quite empty so we did get immediate service at the bar. Drinks were made well. We both got the wings and were both extremely disappointed with the wet rubbery flavorless texture of the meat. The seasoning was the only thing that made them somewhat edible. Excellent selection of bourbon and the happy hour(s) is awesome, our bartender Sonya was great she made some excellent drink for me and my party of 8. My friends and I went there around 4:00. The acoustics almost blew my ears out. We waited for the server to take our order and waited and waited. The only person working was the bartender who was taking both drink and food orders. It was kind of like a person that's given 3 balls to juggle and just drops 2 on the floor. We were totally ignored. So we walked out. I did try again and thought that the attempt to make the food eclectic and interesting just fell a little short. There was something missing. But the drinks were fantastic. I won't revisit because I'm too old to be around screaming people because of poor wall absorption. read more

Probably one of my worst restaurant experiences this year. Choose to go after reading amazing reviews on here. My boyfriend tried to order a lions tail (bourbon mixed drink) which because it's called Whiskey Neat we would've assumed they were skilled bartenders but the waitress said she didn't know what it was but if we still wanted it she could google it. (I later noticed that she was also making the drinks.) Obviously after that he ordered something else because she made it seem like we were inconveniencing her. I am vegan but unfortunately they had more vegetarian options than they did vegan ones. I wasn't in the mood for eggplant so I went with the charred broccolini and a side of French fries. My boyfriend tried to order a special of fish and chips but she said that was the one thing they didn't have. He then ordered the gochujang wings. I wish I was exaggerating but we waited over a half hour for food and my drink was empty half the time with no one around to even ask for a refill. At this point I realized they were extremely understaffed. I only saw two people in the entire front of house both running food, taking orders and behind the bar. It was a Thursday and the bar was completely full of people watching the ranger game and some others seated to eat dinner like us. I then gave them a little leeway but they could've given us that disclaimer earlier and been more apologetic. When the food finally came we were underwhelmed. I love vegetables so never did I think charred broccolini would've been almost inedible. It was very dry and topped with these gross chewy garlic chips. The peppers on top were actually very spicy which was a nice touch. All they needed to do was roast it with fresh garlic and it would've been fine, I don't know how they messed that up. The fries were okay but also dry, I didn't bother to finish them. My boyfriend said his wings were also okay. The ambiance was good, they had sports on the tv and the music was varied. Sadly I have to say we won't be returning and hopefully this was just a bad night for them because the other reviews looked great. I recommend going to try yourself. read more

Great food and drinks great service highly recommend if in Patchogue anytime of the day

Had a reserve ration for 8pm Saturday night once we got there we were seated quickly. Our waiter was John and he was awesome ! Very welcoming and allowed us to take our time with ordering. The food was amazing ! The music was a bit loud ,but nothing to complain about. We ordered Cesar salad, octopus,crab cake,mahogany tacos, fries!! Definitely recommend !!! Met some friends here for dinner and drinks, and the food and service did not disappoint! I can honestly say I enjoyed the baby kale salad, and everyone at the table enjoyed their food and cocktails. Stopped in at Whiskeyneat yesterday for drinks and eats prior to atending a concert at The Patchogue Performing Arts Center (almost across the street). We were so glad we did. If you are looking for an outstanding cocktail (with a huge choice of bourbon, scotch, rye etc) menu, delicious food (trendy and traditional) and reasonable prices, this place is it. The onion soup, seared tuna tacos and duck nachos were my favorite if I had to choose, but seriously everything was good. The Happy Hour menu and half price top shelf cocktails were super and didn't destroy the wallet. Great food, awesome high end drinks, good service and trendy decor makes this place our new stop before concerts in Patchogue. read more

I went in on Whiskey Wednesday for lunch with a girlfriend and was so pleasantly surprised! The decor and atmosphere is open and inviting. The bartender/server John was fantastic, very attentive. The music was so loud that we could not enjoy ourselves. I mean painfully loud. We could not talk to each other at all and left with headaches. They had a woman singing and playing guitar who seemed very talented but unfortunately you could not even make out what she was singing because it was so insanely loud. Usually they say 3rd time is a charm, no charm last night unfortunately. The first two times we had dinner and drinks was definitely a great experience, not sure why last night was no where near great. We ordered 2 drinks at the bar while we were waiting for our friends. $36.00 for 2 drinks which we felt was so overpriced. The bartender was definitely dressed inappropriately for where she is working. (Clothing was about 5 sizes too small for her) If it was a strip club she would have fit in. So disappointed with the whole experience. One person in our party did not even eat an entree because they brought the wrong dish and she was told it would take 25 min to make a new dinner, she felt bad and didn't want to make us wait so she did not eat. Ok so they gave the table 2 doughnuts to try and make it right. I would have rather her have her dinner. Oh and let's not forget the Manager who acted like he hates his job and was grumpy. When I write reviews, it is in an effort to have the restaurant get better and get more business. I've been here twice now. The first time was a nice surprise and the second time was just a bust. I'm not sure I want to return with those odds. Our first visit was maybe around 5:30 pm and the DJ's music was BLASTING. It was so loud, we walked in and then walked out to decide whether or not we wanted to stay. There may have been two other couples in the whole place and there was plenty of space at the bar so we decided to stay, despite the volume. Chris was our first bartender. Affable, available, helpful and generous. We had the eggplant appetizer which was decent but had too much "pesto"? on it-- not mentioned in the dish's description. We ordered what he said is their most popular blueberry lemonade drink which was good. He then made us an incredible tasting drink-- a black cherry lime drink that he said he'd been working on and is not on the menu. It was outrageously delicious and dangerously addicting. He also pointed out a peach whiskey and when he heard I like peach, he made me another very special drink. Not too sweet, a really nice balance. When asked about an entree, he raved about their burger and seriously it was one of those burgers that really get ingrained in your memory as a very special and delicious burger, despite it being overcooked. We left there stuffed and happy. I looked forward to returning. We did and I wish we hadn't. Music was not blasting! Thankfully. There was a restaurant filled with staff and we were the only customers there. Different bartender and entirely different experience. We asked the bartender if she knew how to make the black cherry whiskey and lime drink that Chris had made. She said that they had run out of the Montauk black cherry whiskey. They also were waiting for more of Montauk's peach whiskey... On our last visit they'd said they were hoping to make Montauk their house whiskey so it sounds like that's not exactly working out. We ordered the blueberry lemonade drinks again and they were brought over IMMEDIATELY. Which means they are pre-mixed. I feel like if you are making yourself out to be a whiskey bar, then part of your presentation is the actual CRAFT in the cocktail-making. I want to watch my drink be made because it is a craft. There was NO ONE there which takes away the worry of us waiting. I would rather wait 4 minutes for a drink versus having something already made. It did not taste the same; it was overbearingly sweet, something I hate. I ordered the old-fashioned after that--you can't quite screw that up. It was perfectly fine. I listened as a newly arrived customer asked the bartender if she knew how to make a Boulevardier-- a common drink. She asked, what's that? Not ok. Find out how to spell it and look it up on Google or ask another bartender. This is a whiskey bar! We ordered a horrific crab and spinach dip which looks like it had sat there. The bread that came with it looked old. More than half of the pieces were burnt. We should have said something but we were starving! My partner scraped off the burned parts of the bread-- I mean, the chef and the bartender both looked at the dish and thought sending out burned bread is just fine? We ordered the burger again as well as the chicken and grits. The burger again was overdone and this time it didn't taste as good as it had the first time we'd been there. The grits were SWIMMING in hot honey and the fried chicken was chicken cutlets whose breading quickly came off. Just mounds of grits with mediocre chicken. I'm sad when good things don't turn out as good as I had hoped, especially when it comes to new restaurants that look like they put a ton of effort into renovating the space. I worry that this place will not make it based on our experience. I hope I'm wrong. read more

Buyer beware! We patronized this establishment last Thursday afternoon. We requested a price list, which was not available - this is a red flag. After carefully navigating the inventory and expressing our happy hour price range target with the bartender for a couple pours, we trusted him on the 3rd whiskey. That was a painful lesson learned, when the last drink tripled our overall bill. Be careful that you do not receive a $128 pour! This was my first time coming here with my family. It was a good view, but there was only high tables except for 2, and my grandmother is handicapped so it was hard. The service was good and they were very attentive. The food wasn't necessarily bad but it wasn't good. It was overpriced and there were no sides for any of the meals. They were a nice staff but the place was completely deserted so I didn't know what less to expect. The food was a disappointment and did not meet my standards.
