    Broadway BOLO

We ate there on Sunday night of Labor Day weekend. We had no reservations. Other restaurants were telling us an hour + wait. They were kind enough to accommodate our party of three rather quickly. It was a lovely atmosphere and the service was fantastic. We shared a half Caesar salad and whipped ricotta. Both were very good. Then two of us had Broadway Bolo, (homemade pasta with meat sauce) and one of us had linguini with clams. All three of us loved our dishes. We would definitely return.

Ate here five years ago and food was good. Wife and I, on a Thursday afternoon, stopped in for happy hour and ordered two Tito's and tonic. Happy hour advertising sign outside on the sidewalk clearly states, "Happy Hour: Half-price beer, wine, cocktails. (See posted picture) Bill came, full price. Asked about happy hour. Bartender said, "Oh that's only well drinks." I call bullshit. (I mean seriously it's not like we ordered Belvedere or Grey Goose. It's Tito's FFS) We'll be back in 5-7 years.

Great service, food arrived quickly and we had a lovely server. Sat outside on the porch and had a gentleman come up and the play the violin for us. We tried the calamari and bread, which were both delicious. Loved the seasoning of the calamari and the herbed butter. I got the seasonal salmon bowl, which had a very unique spicy dressing but was lovely nonetheless. Elderflower cocktail was also quite yummy

Made reservations online for dinner for my husband and I. We were seated promptly on arrival. Staff was friendly. We ordered the the ricotta, white pizza and Famous 1lb lasagna. Our server asked if we wanted to try the bolognese topping and I said yes. Holy moly meat topping. I did not realize the sauce would add an extra 3lbs to the lasagna haha. It didn't look the prettiest but tasted delicious. The white pizza wasn't the best, dry and had a ton of parmesean, so I wouldn't recommend it but the lasagna was tasty. Just keep in mind how hearty the meat sauce is. The fresh ricotta appetizer and Tiramisu dessert were also pretty good! I would definitely return and try more options next time!

Really enjoyed this spot! The food was reasonably priced and packed with flavor. Service was excellent--super attentive and welcoming. They were very accommodating too, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place I'd come back to.

Are you ready for the 411? Here we go...went to this lovely spot in Saratoga Springs while attending a conference. The restaurant was so pleasing and fit into the whole aesthetic of the community. The server was amazing in providing options and suggestions. The dishes were tasty and well seasoned. I would definitely return to this restaurant!

Had a very nice evening at Wheatfields this evening. This was my first time there and I was pleasantly surprised. Overall a nice time, adequate food ( despite the high MP on the scallops and mediocre flavor on the Marsala) and a comfortable atmosphere in beautiful downtown Saratoga. The wine selection was decent and made for a "raucous" evening for these pentagenarians. As I said, the mp on the scallops seemed a bit high ($44 for grape-sized scallops) and the chicken Marsala dish, while adequate, left me wanting for more flavor. Others on our group had a nice burger and their infamous 1-pound Lasagna. Waitstaff (Jaspar) was very nice and satisfactory, however hoped that Wheatfields would have risen to the occasion as Saratoga is literally on the world stage over the next 48 hours hosting the final jewel of the Triple Crown. Overall, give it a try. Solid food but lacking in a few critical elements. Mangia mangia! Overall, good evening

Wheatlfields has delicious food and appropriately attentive service. Their wine menu has good selections. Wheatfields is a staple on Broadway in Saratoga. They have booth indoor and outdoor seating. We did not have a reservation, but I suspect that they can get busy so reservations may be preferred.

Great meal at Wheatfields. Staff very friendly, helpful and accommodating . Food was very tasty with decent portions. Was able to snag an outdoor table, which is the best to " people watch"! There are a number of vegetarian options which is always appreciated. Cocktail was delicious however that would be my ONE negative comment. I had The Gorman, which was excellent however I wish they had used a better cherry, like the Luxardo! I know it's more expensive but in a fine dining establishment , it should be expected . Just a minor suggestion to make it perfect.

Bread is from a local bakery and worth ordering. The hamburger comes highly recommended but I tried the pasta special which was excellent. My wife love her halibut but my daughter who is vegan didn't love her cauliflower entree. The hazelnut tart was exceptional. The restaurant is cozy and has a good ambiance. I was looking for a restaurant to go when we were in Saratoga Springs in this restaurant looked…read morelike it had a really good menu so we decided to go there. I requested to sit at the chef's table because I really do like to see what's going on in the kitchen and our reservation is at 7:15 and we arrived a half hour early and we're able to be sat so that was nice. We were greeted by one of the servers in the restaurant and then shortly after another came by and asked if we wanted still or sparkling water and that our server would be there with us in a second. It took a little bit longer for our server to come by and he took our drink orders. The line chef started to realize that our server was taking quite a while so we asked us what he wanted him to start so that he can relay it to our server when he got around to us, and I thought that was very nice and great that he recognized that we were waiting for quite a while. Our server finally came back with our drinks and asked what we wanted to get started and we told him that they already started our appetizers. He also didn't come back for quite a while after that and he finally asked us what we wanted for dinner and he didn't ask how the food was or anything. He just said OK cool and put in our food order. When we got our actual entrée, I had the New York strip steak and my husband had the scallops and they were very good. We ordered those entrées because the line chef said they were good and we wouldn't be disappointed and we were not. Our server finally came back around after everyone else buster plates and asked if we wanted anything for dessert and we already made up our mind what we wanted. I ordered the coconut rice pudding and my husband ordered the pistachio cheesecake. Both of those were also very good highly recommend them if you have room at the end of your meal. Our server then came back with our bill and just randomly said he took off one of our desserts because of the weight which was nice but he didn't really acknowledge anything else. We thought it was very odd but also we were happy about that. This restaurant was very good and I think the staff is very in tuned to what's going on in the restaurant if something is not as it should and they communicate to others if they need to start food for people or accommodate other people's needs so that's the only reason that I'm giving it a 4 because the server we had wasn't great but the food and everything else was awesome.

I'd come back just for the rolls, they were so soft, fluffy, and light with the perfect flaky salt on top to balance with the whipped honey butter. Delicious! Everything else was also great, the hanger steak is also tender and loved the hash that came with it and the crab spaghetti had ample crab meat in it. Presentation was gorgeous. We had a reservation through RESY (Amex Rewards), and when we arrived right on time, the hostess let us know there were no tables available yet and that the wait would be about 30-40 minutes. We completely understand that weekends are busy, and we never expect to be seated immediately, but we had just come from an athletic event and our kids were starving. Since it was a busy weekend, we decided to wait rather than scramble to find another spot. The menu looked very appetizing and we ordered a breakfast plate for our son, tomato soup, lobster pizza, and a burger. The breakfast was solid, your classic bacon, eggs, and potatoes. The tomato soup looked beautiful but was a bit underseasoned, and we felt the same about the lobster pizza. Everything was presented really well, but the flavors just didn't quite match the visual appeal. Our server also seemed to be juggling quite a few tables, so refills were a little hard to come by, which we completely understand during a rush. That said, the ambiance is wonderful. It's lively, welcoming, and absolutely beautiful inside. We truly wanted the food to match the vibe and hope this was just an off day, because it's a great spot with a lot going for it.

The place is pretty small, packed with lots of tables so it's bustling, it's loud (not a bad thing), and there's a lot going on. The one negative about it being a small place is that unfortunately we had to listen to a server complain to one of the managers for about 5 minutes about another co-worker and that was definitely not what we wanted as part of our experience.
