Food is sssoooo goooddd. The lady in the counter gave us a good service and Erica is so thoughtful of giving our order special for us a souvenir back to California. The place is cozy and clean.

My experience on this particular visit was awesome. I had a short wait time and friendly drive through attendant who helped me with my order. The food was great. The honey butter chicken biscuit is my favorite breakfast item on the menu and it never disappoints. Staff wore masks and gloves and the dining room is still not open. ****I only gave them a 4 star rating because I've been to this location many times (pre-Covid) and the drive through was always miserably slow.

Unfortunately there is reason that I don't go to whataburger - the food and staff are not good. We stopped by here because my daughter was tired of chick fil a so I succumbed to peer pressure. What a mistake. We came in last week -Tuesday at 430- and there was literally 1 person waiting and maybe 2 people in the drive thru. We ordered with a staff member who was less than thrilled to be there. The big problem arose after we ordered. We sat down with a number and proceeded to wait and wait and wait and wait......... so many other people came in after us and they to proceeded to wait and wait and wait and wait..... but somehow the people in the drive thru were not waiting. I noticed at least 8 staff members in the back moving quite slowly and hanging out. I decided after 15 minutes to ask about my food but I did not half to ask as the other people at the front became quite angry with their wait and asked a staff member what was going on. He looked confused and said they were waiting on fries then ran away. I walked to the front to ask for my money back since we had to be somewhere in 5 mins and just then a staff member appeared from the back with a tray and screamed my number out and stood there. I grabbed the food and we ran. All that waiting and my chicken was hard as a rock and they forgot my sauce and the fries were ok. No employees apologized or seemed to care. I will stick with chick fil a.

First visit to Whataburger didn't disappoint. After a long day of road tripping, my jalapeño cheeseburger, fries and vanilla shake really hit the spot. Still a die-hard In 'N Out fan, but I'd hit Whataburger again if in the region!

If you're someone who like breakfast or dinner at odd hours, this would be a good place to try because they're oven 24/7. I usually come in the mornings for their "BOB" breakfast on a bun or in the evenings for their lemon pies. The customer service is nice and food is always cooked to order. Don't want to get out the car...go through the drive through. This is one of my go to restaurants when I can't think of anything else to eat.

The guy working the front counter was great help he was really good at talking up everything on the menu. Because when I walked in and asked the very nice guy at the register what their best item was, he didn't hesitate for even half a second. "Fried chicken club sandwich. Hands down." Not "one of our burgers." Not "depends what you like." Nope. Immediate confidence. The kind of confidence that makes you trust a stranger with your financial future. So naturally I ordered exactly that. He even doubled down and told me it was the best sandwich he's ever had. Ever. That's a dangerous level of hype to put on a chicken sandwich. At that point I wasn't ordering lunch anymore. I was preparing for a spiritual experience. I got the sweet potato fries on the side and sat there waiting like a kid staring at the oven on Christmas morning. Then the sandwich arrived. And honestly? Visually, this thing deserved its own entrance music. Beautiful sandwich. Crispy golden chicken, stacked perfectly, looked like it had been assembled by a food stylist with relationship issues. I took the first bite and immediately realized what was wrong. Flavor had called in sick. The chicken itself was cooked perfectly. Great crunch. Juicy inside. Beautiful breading. But somehow nobody introduced it to salt, pepper, seasoning, spices, or joy. It tasted like the kitchen spent all their energy making it look incredible and forgot the whole "taste" portion of the assignment. My colleague ordered the exact same thing and had the exact same reaction, which honestly made me feel better because for a second I thought COVID had made a surprise comeback. The sandwich was one shake of Cajun seasoning away from greatness. The sweet potato fries were solid flavor-wise, but a little limp. Not tragic. Just lacking that crispness that makes you keep stealing fries after you're already full. This place feels like a really good concept that just needs somebody in the kitchen to become emotionally invested in seasoning. Three stars feels fair. Nothing was bad. Nothing offended me. It was just aggressively average after being introduced with Super Bowl-level hype. I'd come back, but next time I'm ordering an actual burger at the place called Baja Burger. Feels like that's probably the safer bet.

I dined in for lunch to get the full experience…read more Tony's is a small, no frills local restaurant that feels very rooted in Birmingham's history. The atmosphere is casual and nostalgic, with regular customers coming in and staff who clearly know many of them by name. It has that classic American hot dog stand feel that reflects a long standing Southern food culture. I ordered a classic hot dog with chili and mustard, fries, and a drink. The food was simple, affordable, and filling. From a public health perspective, this type of restaurant represents traditional comfort food that is high in sodium and processed meats, which we know can contribute to chronic disease when eaten frequently. However, it also plays an important role in community identity and accessibility. The prices are reasonable, making it an option for people looking for a quick, inexpensive meal. Overall, Tony's reflects how cuisine culture is not just about nutrition, but also about tradition, affordability, and local history. It was a solid experience and a good example of how food connects people in a community.

Just a tiny, iconic hole in the wall that exists for one reason: to serve hot dogs that mean business. When you walk in, you already know you're not here for the décor. You're here because you're craving a hot dog and you want it done right. I ordered the Chicago dog, which showed up looking like it had zero intention of fitting politely inside its bun. This thing was juicy, oversized, and required a concerning amount of napkins. The pickles were crisp, the peppers had the right bite, the mustard was exactly what it should be. Everything hit. The only thing missing was that neon green relish that looks radioactive but somehow makes a Chicago dog official. I kind of missed it. A little. Then I got adventurous. Mistake number one. I ordered the Beef Sandwich, what I can only describe as a sloppy joe with a pickle on top. It sounded bold. It tasted... fine. Not terrible. Not memorable. Just sort of there. It's like I betrayed the hot dog gods and they let me know. My colleague went with the burger, which Tony's is apparently campaigning as "best of" material with the local news crowd. He said it was decent and a great value. High praise in burger language. Now the onion rings? Absolute perfection. Crispy, golden, and cooked exactly the way onion rings should be cooked. No notes. If I had stuck strictly to the hot dogs, this would've been an easy five-star situation. But I strayed. That's on me. Four stars. Next time, I'm staying loyal to the dogs.

We were greeted promptly and took a few minutes to look at the menu. I LOVE roast beef, so it peaked my interest. My wife chose the Smiley burger. We placed our order and grabbed a seat. Bread was crisp and the beef was hot and juicy. Horseradish gave a nice tangy flavor. My wife's Smiley burger was hand patted. Juicy and perfectly cooked. Bun was soft inside and nicely toasted in the outside. Bread and butter pickles, onion, tomato and lettuce topped it off. But the star of the show were the fries cooked in beef tallow!!
