Went with some friends tonight. We did the mobile ordering because the drive-thru line was long. We ordered food, but no drinks because we had some at home. However, when we got our order they gave us drinks, and we told them we didn't order them, but they said we could keep them. I mistakenly didn't check the bag, and didn't realize until about 5 minutes later when we got home, that we had received another customers order. Nothing in the bags was what we ordered. We decided since we were close, we'd go back and ask for our order. We weren't mad. They were busy. It was a simple mistake. Then, our hero emerged. A man came to our window, asked us how he could help us. We told him our situation, he told us to hold tight. Whataburger was still busy, this man was hustling to every car, speaking kindly and showing intentionality with every customer. He came back out to us with our correct orders, and was very apologetic. I was able to catch the name on his tag. It was simple, yet fitting. "Kev." This man is the embodiment of everything good about the American fast-food industry. He was kind, helpful, understanding and energized. He's an absolute legend. If you're reading this, and you're one of Kev's bosses. Treat that man like a king. He was working his tail off, when he could've been mad that he was stuck at work on a Friday night. NEWS FLASH , if you want a job where you get paid to text and do nothing versus what you're suppose to do @ work ! This is the place and the location to apply @ ! This Whataburger will leave 2 workers to run the drive through , grill , fryer & counter while the Manager LESLIE and an African American male are in the office doing who knows what versus taking care of customers ! Then you have the girl in the photo who's texting instead of assisting her co-workers with what's needed basically doing NOTHING ! Then again , if management isn't doing her job ( LESLIE ) , then why would the employees do their job ??? Talk about being disorganized , non productive , worthless and motivated ! This morning the young lady who took my order and the cook were the only ones taking care of business ! Went to this Whataburger after a late evening of school. Didn't have fries which was a bummer but didn't bother me. Maybe I'm biased to in n out but this is the second Whataburger and it's still just bleh to me. Seriously nothing special. But what really bothers me about what a burger is the customer service. If this company wants to compete as a franchise they need to really train the employees a lot better and make them understand it's a job and to appreciate it. Offer them benefits and college or something. After telling me there was no fries, the associate tells me to pull up. I've heard so much about this west coast eatery that's family owned and operated! The service was good. Double burger was bigger than the double at Wendy's. If you eat in, they bring your food to your table. Lots of young kids being young working. They all seemed genuinely happy to see you. The cinnamon roll was ginormous. My husband had an apple pie and said it was better than McDonald's. I would eat here again. I was full for the entire night--didn't need dinner. read more

Had a late dinner here on a Saturday night ~9 p.m. When we walked in, the place was clean & tidy. As we walked up to the register, there was 1 other person ordering. The General Manager saw us and immediately walked over to take our order. Both the Manager and employees were very friendly and upbeat. I ordered a cheeseburger, (wrapped in lettuce, instead of a traditional bun), fries, a tea (they have unsweetened & sweetened), and a small chocolate milkshake (the small was just right, the large milkshake is 32 oz!) They have Coke products to drink. The food took about 7 minutes. In addition to regular ketchup, they have a spicy ketchup- I requested both. My food was pretty tasty (the fries a little saltier than I like). While we were eating, an employee was walking around asking guests if we needed anything, and the Manager was delivering customer orders. I was most impressed by the customer service at this location- everyone was genuinely helpful and polite. read more

Here from California, heard this was better than in-and-out. Drive thru time was around 8pm. Messed up our order twice, not too friendly or helpful when ordering. Ordered a chicken cranberry salad, whataburger, 2 jalapeño cheese burgers and a kids meal. Soda was good, salad was also tasty. Burgers were your everyday fast food burger and fries. I came here after I picked up my rental car from the airport. Sign says "open 24 hours". I was staying at a neighboring hotel, and walked over for a burger around 9:00 PM. Thanks he drive through was open, but the Doors were locked, with around 4 or 5 workers clearly visible from the front door. One of them moseyed over, opened the door, and after telling me the drive through was all that was open I let him know I was on foot. Instead of taking my order, he said I'd have to order online or through the app and he would bring my order to the door. I've never used the app, and using the website took me 10 or 15 minutes just to get my order submitted, then took them at least 15-20 minutes to prepare the order. All in, I was standing on the sidewalk outside, with no bench or chairs, while the dining room, the air conditioned dining room, remained completely empty, for at least 30 minutes waiting on my order. Food was great, as expected, service was atrocious. I expect much more from such a big player in fast food. read more

Horrible location! Messed up my order and the food wasn't even warm to say the least. I asked for the description of the jalapeño cheddar biscuit and was told it was the biscuit egg and sausage. I confirm that is what I want. I get back to my work office ~15 minutes from here and open my biscuit to find just a biscuit... No egg orrrr sausage! Probably my fault for not checking but unbelievable. If your goal is to start of someone's day happy you sure didn't today! I also ordered an apple pie. I used to like this burger chain. I think they changed the recipe around 2 years ago so I stopped buying it. I wanted to give it another try tonight but the taste failed. The patty was so thin that I can barely taste it. The fries was good though a little salty. My husband meal #6 with no onion (my husband has mild allergy); with mayo/mustard. I ordered the same. We had to repeat the order three times. She must have mispunched the code so she called someone to help her. We again gave our order. When our order came it has onions and no mayo; just mustard. The taste is bland for us. There was nothing wrong with it, just flavorless. This burger chain is not for us but if you like whataburger, I suggest this location. It is clean. The staff is nice. This location is near my office and very convenient, but I will never eat here, much less a whataburger, again. Im from Texas, and we are proud of our Whataburgers... but I can't do it anymore. The first time my chicken sandwich was RAW... literally, breaded raw chicken in a bun... noticed after I bit in. 6 months to a year later, someone makes the quick trip and offers to bring something back. So without a second thought I try again, and starting about 5 hours after I ate, I started throwing up... violently. Again, a chicken sandwich.... Now almost 24 hours later, I am finally holding down Sprite, barely. If you are a dedicated WB fan, take my advice and just keep going, there's probly another location not far down the road. read more

it's kinda like an unhealthy version of Burger King... In Texas they serve a lot of cold drink in Styrofoam cups, I couldn't figure out why until my starbucks ice tea created a pool of condensation in my rental car cupholder and submerged my phone.. given it was a balmy 106 today with 80% humidity.. anyhow.. They serve this version of tea.. they call it along with the rest of Texas calls it unsweetened tea.. Why they don't call it tea is beyond me.. that's pretty good and about 1/3 of the price of starbucks AND in a Styrofoam cup that stays cold for a few hours.. This is just a typical Whataburger, but it was a better breakfast than the Hilton's $11 buffet and at a better price. I'm not a huge fan of their fries (they seem to get cold really fast), but most Whataburgers are pretty good for a quick bite. I tried the hamburger last night and while I wasn't blown away it was still pretty good. What did surprise me was the service this morning. I came here for breakfast and ordered a simple meal. When I sat down i noticed the next customer. He looked a little down and out, not necessarily homeless. He couldn't afford his meal and Crystal offered to pay without batting an eyelash. Her kindness ans generosity is rare these days or maybe that's just texas. Either way to touched my heart. I believe she was the same person who helped me the night before, her smile and attitude stuck out then as well. I'm glad to see whataburger has such a caring person working for them. The person that took my order at this Whataburger tonight was rude and would not listen. I spoke slowly and clearly and he still didn't understand. They then completely messed up the order and my sons burger and my burger had the wrong ingredients. The buns and meat were also cold.
