About two weeks ago, my favorite K-pop group, LE SSERAFIM, was in town and during the encore, they came out in full UW gear. After researching, I found out that the gear was from University Book Store. I really wanted to buy the hat that Chaewon wore and was able to find and buy one there. It was a University Book Store exclusive printed/embroidered on '47 brand Hat. There is a reason I am telling this story though! While I was there, I looked around and see what kind of merchandises they were selling and I noticed that they have done collaboration with quality brands such as Lululemon, Champion (reverse Weave), Adidas, '47 Brand, New Era, etc. Clearly, whoever is in charge of designing the fan gear here knows what they are doing. They also had a clearance section upstairs with items marked down up to 50%. If you're a current UW student or UW Alumni and haven't been here in recent years like me, I highly recommend checking it out. Check out my photos of all the UW gears that LE SSERAFIM members wore during the concert.

I'm not a big book reader, so take this review with a grain of salt. However, I do appreciate the…read morehusky gear and the coffee shop in the store. I've also noticed that books are arranged similarly to Barnes & Noble. I've been told that the books are carefully arranged and sorted via subcontracted by Barnes & Noble, so if you're interested in that, this is definitely the place for you. The prices are a bit high, but they do go back into student support and activities, so it's a good investment. Also, there is a 20% discount or specific dates and timelines along with promotionals for students. but I don't think that these discounts apply to text books. I definitely recommend a university bookstore.

Since I was out of…read morewarranty with Apple, I came to their University District store at referral from Apple service because the local Apple Store was all backed up. GoEBITS was able to see me that same day, conduct a quick diagnosis, and do the repair all in their own shop - no need to send out to an outside repair center. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and very communicative. My repair was complete within the week - which was much appreciated since I depend so much on my Mac. While it wasn't cheap - it's something I anticipated since I unfortunately didn't have Apple Care (a learning by itself!). I highly recommend them!

Now the reason this review isn't 4 or 5 stars is because COMMUNICATION seems to be an issue aside from my device being there for over a month in waiting for a battery "that worked" & the internal connector or such to be fixed. The timing wasn't so much an issue as the lack of communication was. It's like I would like to at some point have an answer or my device back after a month. Because if you've got back ups or are absent minded, then they'll keep your stuff for a long time if you forget it's there. Otherwise, communication in actually calling & giving updates would be good instead of wondering if your device is just sitting there or is being used as a paper weight.....

Great customer service. Helpful and honest advice. Friendly folks who were perfectly willing to…read moretalk options or make recommendations. For what I got, very reasonable pricing. A little over a week ago, my cat decided to water test my laptop. Long story short, a glass of water spilled into (!) my laptop. The laptop sat immersed in this pool of water for nearly 20 hours. Everything was complete toast. Although most of my files are in the cloud, especially the most important ones, I decided there might be the occasional file or folder that I might not notice tomorrow or even a year from now. I decided it would be best to retrieve the contents of the drive on the laptop for peace of mind. I left the laptop with them to do an assessment first. That assessment was ~$80. After their assessment, they indicated that the contents of the drive were retrievable and gave me an estimate of $400 to retrieve the contents of the drive (the $80 would apply to that figure). I decided it was worth the cost, if for nothing more than that elusive peace of mind. I also needed a drive to put the contents on (or provide my own). Since I didn't have one, and didn't want to bother with purchasing a 3rd party drive, they charged me $140 for a Toshiba Portable Storage device. So, for about $600 (w/ tax) I got everything off the lost drive. Was it worth it? Without a doubt. Would I go back? Hell yeah.

This is no longer the Progressive Tech you used to know and love. Long gone are the days when your…read morecomputer blew up and after spending several hours trying to fix it yourself, you trudged over to Prog Tech and had a one on one conversation about what the options were for getting you back up. And then you left it there and they fixed it. Now, it's obvious they don't want the local, neighborhood individual with a problem. They make it next to impossible to connect with anyone from just trying to find them on Roosevelt to no one answering the phone when you call them repeatedly just to make an appointment. They couldn't say more clearly, "We don't want you!" Stay away from them, they're not for you.

s e r v i c e: 5/5 I've been going here for the past 4-5…read moreyears because my biology professors always have us buy lab manuals from here. I go in and tell the employee I'm there to buy a lab manual for XYZ class. They always have them pre-printed so they just ring you up. This was the first time I purchased something outside of a lab manual. I wanted to print some invitations on card stock. I'd never done anything like this before so there were hiccups with my order. The employee was very patient and kind to me. He walked me through the entire printing process. He asked what paper I wanted, the dimensions, how many copies, and how to send them what I wanted to print. It took me a moment to format my initiations correctly for them to print, but he was very patient. Before printing on card stock, he printed my invitations on regular copy paper so that I could see what they looked like and make sure I was satisfied with how they looked. After my order was complete, he told me I could cut the invitations. Had he not told me this, I would have walked home and cut all my intimations by hand, struggling to cut straight lines. I appreciated him so much for letting me know they had a paper cutter! While I cut my paper, he made small talk, which was a nice way to end my experience! p r i c e: 5/5 It was between $19-$23 for 13 colored copies on card stock. p a r k i n g: 2/5 There is street parking in front and nearby, but I've found it very difficult to actually find parking. r a t i n g b r e a k d o w n 1: never ever again... 2: not very good, but at least something went right 3: average. 4: yummy, but something was lacking 5: everything was perfect! I worked with this company 3 different times and gave the same exact request on the website,…read morehowever, each time I got a different product. The communication with the employees also kept getting weirder and weirder. They gave me a price quote the first time I worked with them. The second time they asked me to call them on the phone to discuss the details of the print job. They then asked me to come in the store to verify the product. I went to the store and brought the product from the first time as an example. We did a test print and it looked pretty good. Then when I picked up the product it was on a completely different type of paper??? It just seemed like I wasted a lot of time going into the store. This most recent time was probably the weirdest experience I've ever had working with a print company. I sent in my quote and received an email that just said "ready". ???? No confirmation of receiving the file, no price quote, nothing. I went to the store (online it says they closed at 9pm but apparently they close at 8pm now), picked up the product, and of course it was printed on a different type of paper than what was expected. When I told the employee I had a previous price quote they called the boss to clarify. They eventually honored it BUT instead of $52 the employee inputted $54 thinking I wouldn't notice??? Idk it all just seemed lowkey shady to me. Overall the company works fast and is cheaper in comparison to other places I've worked with. But with weird communication and questionable actions, I don't think I'd go back. Also I've used these prints to giveaway as concert freebies, and one time I heard someone laugh at how the image was blurry I don't think it was that bad but it definitely was a little fuzzy, and that was embarrassing lol
