I was very happy with Garry's service. My plumbing backed up at night and had no choice but to contact a plumber. I saw this ad as the first on yelp and went ahead and gave it a shot. Garry came over in no more than 10 minutes from when I called. He fixed the problem very quickly and did a good job. Garry was nice and explained what he was doing every step of the way. All of the praise for Gary is true. After receiving a few quotes from larger companies, who I assume only saw a woman with gray hair and tried to rip me off, Gary from Westco Rooter saved the day. He was pleasant, professional, and never tried to give me the hard sell. Not to mention that the quote he gave me (in writing I might add) was hands down the best. Don't trust those other guys with their discount coupons. They're no good. You'll know Gary is legit when you meet him, and the work was done quickly with no mess. He's my plumber for life! He saved me money and a new sewer line that I did not need. So grateful. read more

Believe the 5 stars and the reviews. I called and spoke with Garry. He set up a same-day appointment to fix a leak under the kitchen sink. Danny arrived within the promised time frame. Great guy! Professional and pointed a few things out for me. The work was done quickly and Danny cleaned up. We're new to the neighborhood and happy to have found a great plumber! Thanks guys! read more

Garry is an excellent resource of knowledge and a great guy! He is my go to plumber for my home in Winnetka. I had called him over to take a look at what I had thought would be a minor plumbing/water damage repair. Garry told me that this was definitely not and recommended that I call my insurance right away. It turned out to be a $20k+ job that I had Garry do the water damage restoration for. I am very thankful that Garry had turned me towards the right direction immediately and for doing an excellent, thorough and clean job! read more

I love it when people show up on time, are courteous and professional and do their job well. This is why I am giving Garry and Westco a 5-star rating. We hired him to do a hyrdrojetting of our main sewer line and a post jetting video inspection. I would definitely use him for any and all future plumbing needs. Thanks Garry. -- Dave S read more

My husband called and Garry was knocking on the door within 10 minutes. He was knowledgeable and able to quickly diagnose that the problem was with the clogged kitchen drain pipe. He gave us options on what he can do to fix it - thankfully the cheaper option that required less work was a success! He even replaced the drain plug for free and check the pipes under the sink to be sure there's no leaking. We really appreciated his honesty and we highly recommend him! read more

Gary was very professional and knew what he was doing. He did a great job. Changed our old malfunctioning shutoff valve. It looks good a works great. read more

Garry and his team are true professionals. My house required new sewer pipe due to the original 70 year old pipes breaking. It took Garry and his team less than two days to add the new sewer pipe outside and under the house. Garry was not pushy or trying to sell me the job, especially since it was a large job. He was straight forward and gave me options with best case worst case scenarios. I asked lots of questions which he patiently answered. Also, since I'm a visual person, he also showed me all the cracks and broken pieces of the pipe with the inspection camera so I could better understand the problem. Each day Garry and team were prompt/on-time, courteous, respectful, and hard workers. They did an awesome job on the cleanup too - even though a trench was dug and concrete broken through to reach certain parts of the pipe, everything was returned back to normal. I definitely recommend Westco Rooter 110% for any small or large plumbing needs. read more

Had two drain cleanings and a sewer inspection. Garry was excellent, fast and very professional. Thank you!

Had a problem a while back, as I'd never lived in a house with a disposall in the kitchen, so shortly after we moved in, I put rose stems down the thing, unaware that's a big no-no. Called Westco, Garry came out right away, got the pipes routed out, and his compadre John installed the new disposall. Two nicer guys you'll never meet. They were efficient, punctual, competent, everything you'd want tradesmen to be. Got the job done. Fast forward to today. Found moisture on the floor, maybe coming up from below. Called Garry's number before 8:00 a.m.- it's Saturday, so I figured I'd get his voice mail. But Garry answered and was at the door by 8:45! Surveyed the damage and immediately called American Water Restoration and their guy was here maybe a half hour later. I recommend both Garry and American Water Restoration very highly! read more

Determined that I might need a drain cleaning and after reading the reviews on Yelp called Westco and spoke with Garry. Made an appointment for him to check my situation and give a quote. He was very cordial and explained exactly what needed to be done and the options I had. I opted for a snake through the main cleanout which had opened by itself and spewed toilet paper and water all over. He snaked it showed me the pipe for the main line which had roots and gave me an accurate assessment of how long each of the 3 solutions would last and cost for each. He is an honest plumber! Finally - I have a found someone I will call back! He is highly recommended. Call him with confidence. read more

I called this company because of the gear reviews on Yelp and Garry did not disappoint. He was on time, very professional and did a great job. I will be using this company again read more

This guy is good! Very thorough & doesn't mind explaining everything he's doing. Our previous plumber retired, so we were unsure whom to call to unclog a bathroom sink. Gary came over at the time promised & quickly unclogged the sink. We were very happy with his demeanor & honesty so we decided have him repair our sprinkler system valves as well, which he repaired & made better than previous. A couple weeks later the same bathroom sink clogged again. Gary promptly came over at no charge & snaked the drain. Once again a couple weeks later the same drain clogged at which time Gary understood there was more of problem than a simple clog. After hydrojetting didn't work, Gary determined it was necessary to change out the drain pipe that ran under the slab of the house. He explained the cost of that but also told us there is possibly a cheaper method of repair that wouldn't necessitate digging into the slab if the clog was situated in the section of pipe within the wall. We allowed Gary to try that & it worked! Saving us a ton of money and inconvenience in disassembling the bathroom vanity & destroying the floor. Without hesitation, Gary is now our "go to" plumber! He is fast, friendly, knowledgeable and, most importantly, honest. read more

This company is the best, I had a leak under my sink on Christmas night (of course) with a house full of guests...I called first thing the next morning and Garry responded right away and was at my house within a few hours to fix the problem. Garry is not only one of the nicest guys you'll encounter he is neat, clean, affordable and seems to really want a satisfied customer. Clearly what Garry got, I'm so happy to have finally found a great Plummer who also gives top notch service. What a win win situation. I've since had Garry over to do a new faucet install and as expected went flawlessly and i'm very happy with the results. The best thing is my daughter just purchased her first home so i now can relax knowing if she has any plumbing issues Garry will be there to fix them....Good feeling! read more

Great service and price. Really recommend 5 stars customer service. He knows what he is doing, really experience guy. Thanks Garry

I cannot say enough good about this place. It's a shame I can only give 5 stars. I called them on 5/19 in the afternoon about coming out and filing and drilling down on a couple drains to be able to fit new pieces into them. This was for my grandmother who is 90 years old. They told me they could be at her house by 9am the next morning. I could not have be there to I was a bit worried. After talking with my grandmother this morning, They were one of the best plummer companies I have ever dealt with. I had another plummer service come out a month or so before this and the guy kept telling her he had to drill through the wall to get under her drain and quoting her a insane price. They showed up at 9:00am on the button. They were extremely nice. He finished both drains in about 25 minutes and explained what he was doing the whole time she said. After he was finished, keep in mind she is 90 years old so he say her trying to open a jar in the kitchen, and she said he came in helped her open 3 or 4 things that she would not have been able to otherwise. He even helped her put her walker into the car since that is not a easy task. After all this she asked how much and for a invoice, he handed her a invoice and said NO CHARGE at all. Not even a charge for driving out to her house. I have never heard of a company going that far out of their way to help out. If you need plumbers for anything, I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED these guys! I would not even hesitate or worry to hire them for any job ever! TIP - ask for Garry. He answered the call when I called the day before, and he was the one that showed up at her house to do the job, GREAT man! read more

Gary is awesome he took the time to explain what he will do and very friendly guy!!! His a very professional man.

A much needed emergency call to the plumber for July 4th weekend. We needed a new garbage disposal. Garry the owner, answered the call and had responded with an immediate sense of urgency. He presented a fair price, Garry was on time, clean & neat, and a real nice guy. I would highly recommend his business hands down. read more

We were installing a new lawn when our gardener found that we didn't have enough water pressure and our main line had a leak. The main water line needed replacement right away. Garry is amazing! Gracious, honest and reliable. Geeze, I can't believe I am saying that about a plumber! He's responded to my messages and calls within an hour and has come out on a moment's notice to solve my issues (and I have plenty). With the upcoming 3-6 inches of rain we're expecting tomorrow - he's on his way out again today to rest my mind at ease. Great guy to deal with! read more

Garry from Westco Rooter just left my house. I attempted to unclog the main drain myself with no success. I then called that smell good guy from the radio, you know, the "I'll unclog any drain for $99" guy? Well, they showed up and without looking at much of anything told me I'd have to pay $415 for a special technician to come look at it. $415 is a LOT more than $99, and that was just to look and see what the problem is. So I tried to unclog it myself again with a professional drain snake...no luck. As I was about to rip my hair out and clog the drain even more I found Westco Rooter on Craigslist, gave them a call and explained the problem. Garry showed up about an hour later and took the time to ask me questions about what was happening and explored different ways to fix the problem. A short time later he had the drain unclogged and flowing like new. And he did this for a very low, advertised promotional price. I couldn't be happier with the work ethic and professionalism of this company. He could've tried to rip me off like many would, instead he just did what he said he'd do at the price he quoted. You will not be disappointed!!! read more

My mom & I called several plumbers, one even came out to the house and quoted one price over the phone, but changed the price when he got there, claiming it was a "service call" only price. We then called Westco Rooter and spoke with Garry, told him our problem. He was able to come right out. He is honest, performs great work and his prices are very reasonable. Since then, we have called him back for a different issue and we are very pleased! :) read more

Of course our washer machine pipe was clogged and the drain completely overflowed just as we got back from our weekend trip to Arrowhead and had loads of laundry. I called Garry on Sunday and he picked up immediately. I told him about our situation and he came out the next morning, on Memorial Day no less!!! He unclogged our pipes and gave my husband some good advice about replacing pipes in the future. I've used him this past winter in preparation for the rain storms and we're so glad we did!
