5 star plus!!! All of the staff here from the optometrists, opticians, and receptionists are so welcoming and friendly--they really make you feel comfortable and at home. I have visited twice in the past few years and have seen two different optometrists, both equally knowledgeable, helpful, and understanding. My most recent visit I got my first pair of glasses and the whole experience was from start to finish I felt extremely comfortable in knowing I was making the right decision on frames with Fernando and Matt's help. West Loop Eye Care as an upscale neighborhood shop that makes you feel like family! If all of that wasn't enough, I placed my husbands' order for contacts while on a walk and Matt walked with my dog and I two blocks to their sister store Vision Boutique to pickup the contacts because they had his prescription in stock then! read more

This was my first visit to West Loop Eye Care and it won't be my last. They had a great selection of glasses and sunglasses. Matt and Fernando were really nice and helped me pick out the right glasses to fit my style. I didn't have an exam but Dr. Faye still came and greeted me and gave her recommendation as well. Thanks west Loop Eye Care!! read more

I went to the Crown Point, IN location and saw Dr. Boldus. The facility is stunning and makes you feel comfortable. Very clean. The staff was amazing. So friendly and knowledgeable. I choose this eye doctor because they had food reviews and those reviews were not lies. I have been having an issue with my eyes and contacts that America's Best and VisionWorks not once could even mention. As well as using a contact brand that was outdated and sold to me purely for the sale. Here at Vision Boutique, the Dr right away knew what was wrong just by my description and then he confirmed it after looking at my eyes. He then recommended me multiple brands of contacts with NO push on a particular brand. He helped me find the very best and most comfortable contacts for my particular eye problem. I am forever grateful for Dr. Boldus and his staff for their kindness and help. I recommend anyone needing eye care go to The Vision Boutique! read more

Had a great experience at West Loop Eye Care. Everyone was so friendly and helpful! They also have a very cute frame selection.

A++ customer service. Matt, if other people were more like you this world would be a better place. Thank you SO much for going beyond the call of duty last week by hand delivering me contact lens hours before I had to be at the airport for a week long business trip. I would have been blind all week without you! Ladies and gentlemen, West Loop Eyecare is an amazing place and I would highly recommend it to anyone- especially if you're like me and have an astigmatism. Anyway, Matt, you're the best and I hope the practice appreciates you as much as I do. Thanks again and I look forward to seeing you at my next eye exam. read more

This is my favorite eye doctor office ever. Dr. Shah is extremely nice, knowledgeable, and communicative. The office staff is friendly, quick, and efficient. Lynette helped me today, and she had a streamlined process to get me checked out and set up with my contact lenses. In fact, she even helped me quickly complete the rebate process before leaving the office. Thank you West Loop Eye Care for all you do! read more

A friend recommended WLEC. Only a few blocks from my condo, the location was convenient and the service was exceptional. Dr. Shah was professional and very warm and welcoming. Dominique, Z and Matt were awesome. I especially appreciated Matt's enthusiasm in helping me find the right frames. Had my glasses back in less than a week. Highly recommend this neighborhood gem. read more

West Loop Eye Care is hands-down the best eye care experience I have ever had. Their staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and really cares about their patients. Fernando and Dominique were warm and welcoming right away. Dr. Neil gave a comprehensive eye exam, answered all my questions and helped me choose the option best eye care option for me. Z reviewed my insurance options and helped me find the best deals on glasses and contacts. Matt was truly the shining star of my experience. He has a great eye for detail and helped me choose amazing frames that compliment my face and style. He chose a pair for me to try on that I never would have looked at on my own and they ended up being the pair I picked. In addition to glasses, I am a first time contact wearing. Matt was very patient and helpful during my contact-fitting. It definitely took me a few tries but I never felt rushed. West Loop Eye Care was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an optometrist in the Chicago area. read more

From the initial phone call to the follow up visit, the care team at WLEC was exceptional. I felt welcome by the practice group, and I appreciate the steps they are taking to protect personal and public health, while still making me feel like a welcome and valued guest. The staff were super helpful in assisting me with picking out some new frames that just looked so great! Not even kidding, they day I picked up my new glasses, I was stopped at the grocery store, told I looked gorgeous, and asked on a coffee dare- haha!! This has never happened to me before- the frames were that perfect! haha!! Talk about a confidence boost! Very glad to share a glowing review of this team, and I look forward to a long relationship with this practice for all my vision needs. Special shout out to Matt, Fernando & Dominque for all your attention to detail and personalized care! read more

Matt M. saves the day! I hate shopping for glasses. Matt made it fun and easy. He is so knowledgeable and friendly. Not to mention... honest! He wasn't just trying to sell me, he took time to listen and understand what I was looking for in my next pair of eyeglasses. There are so many eyeglass shops. I am glad I found Matt! Thanks, WL Eye care and a huge shout out to Matt M! read more

My first doc appointment since the pandemic! Felt very safe at West Loop eye care. Dr Shah and the team are super friendly and you never feel rushed when you have questions. Matt & Fernando were awesome at helping me with selecting some new frames with blue light in them. I've been going to them for the last few years and it's been a great experience each time. read more

West Loop Eye Care has been my where I go for my eye exams for the last two years. Both times I have received the best service from all of the staff. I worked with Fernando on my last visit and he was very helpful explaining all the coverage options of my insurance. He took the time to explain it in a simple way, and took the time to help me look at frames. They have a beautiful selection of high end glasses and sunglasses! I would definitely recommend going to see them. read more

Everyone at West Loop Eye Care is very compassionate and pleasant. They are accommodating and will do everything in their ability to ensure that your needs are met. The doctors are wonderful, patient, and thorough. They have a wide range of eye glass frames from athletic wear to every day glasses. I highly recommend them for their expertise, efficiency, and customer service. You will not be disappointed. read more

Can I give more than 5 stars?? Matt and Fernando were so helpful in picking out my new glasses. Matt invited me to a trunk show they were having the next day--which is where I found the glasses of my dreams! I was having trouble adjusting to my first pair of progressives, so they happily adjusted the lenses for me. Not to mention: when my son injured his eye with a toy and I called the office in a panic, Matt quickly arranged for him to be seen by the eye doctor at the other location on Morgan (Dr. Margaret, who was just wonderful -- highly recommend for any kiddo patients!) They are truly nice people who care. Thank you! read more

I love coming into West Loop Eye Care! I always have a wonderful experience and my visit yesterday was no different. Dr. Nimi, Dominique, Matt and Fernando took great care of me and I left with my new glasses in the same day! The store is always very organized and clean and they have a great selection of affordable designer frames and sunglasses! read more

I am a new patient and I was so pleased to see that they had a wide range of appointment availability. All the staff took appropriate COVID precautions and were extremely welcoming/friendly. I was so pleased that the tech who ran my testing reviewed the intake interview survey and followed up on the concerns that I had noted. Dr. Shah also reviewed the survey and discussed my concerns with me as well. I have been to make different types of doctors who all ask for patients to complete an intake survey and this was the first time that anyone actually seemed like they read the survey. I was very appreciative of the time that Dr. Shah spent with me and that she took the concerns about my future eye health (due to my family eye history) seriously, even though I wasn't experiencing anything concerning at the time. She was very helpful in providing me several options for how to deal with my dry eye symptoms and even provided samples! I truly felt that she cared about my eye health and was an open and warm person that made sharing my concerns easier. The staff member who helped me purchase new contacts was very efficient, helped me with a rebate to make this particular brand cheaper, and answered all my questions to help me through the process. This was by far the most pleasurable medical appointment of any type that I have had in my life. read more

Fernando was wonderful and helped me find the perfect frames!! The staff is great at service as well. 5 stars and a happy customer!! My son and husband are headed in after the holiday. read more

My #1 eyewear spot in Chicago! I get 4 new pair of glasses every Spring, and Matt at WLEC is basically my hero. The sweetest man!! I'm super hard on my glasses too, and he realigns then in literally 3 seconds each time. They don't bamboozle you with hidden charges or unnecessary add-one like I've experienced at other spots. Love this place! read more

Best service I have ever had anywhere. The service experience was perfect from the time Matt answered the phone to schedule the appointment to the time I left the building. I walked in the door and I was receiving my first set of eye tests within 5 minutes. I am sorry I can't remember her name, but she was very nice, quick and thorough. Immediately after the test I was escorted to Dr. Shah for the remainder of my exam. Again very concise, walked me through the photos, gave me a clear consultation, and answered all of my questions. Also very nice and with a smile. Finally I met with Matt who was very patient as I tried on at least 25 pairs of glasses. Always gave me his honest opinion and made some great suggestions as well. What I loved about this place is that everyone seemed to love their place of employment. Smiles on everybody's faces and a pleasure to deal with. They have my business for life. read more

I visited West Loop Eye Care last night and their COVID procedures were great -- temp taken, hands washed, wiped down all machines and chair in front of me before each use. Dr. Shah was so pleasant, took her time to explain what she was doing and why, and was very educational and comforting in general. Greg helped me find a new frame and was helping in that process for an indecisive person. Lovely experience, I'll definitely go back. read more

The staff are very friendly and professional. I was able to make an appointment at relatively short notice, get my eye exam done. The customer service is the best I've had so far they are very happy to work with you for whatever you need. They have a very wide range to select from, you're bound to find something you'll like. Can't recommend them highly enough, they're my new place for anything eye related from now on. read more

I stopped in here to browse for sunglasses and the place is very fun and inviting with the decor. One of the managers, Matt, promptly welcomed me into the store without being overbearing. I intended to just browse that day but we found the most beautiful pair of Tom Fords that I could just not say no too. Awesome store and great service! read more

The staff and doctors at Vision Boutique are phenomenal!! They provided me with a lot of insight about my vision and helped me easily adjust to hard contacts. By wearing these lenses, my prescription stopped increasing and it finally plateaued. Also, when I had trouble picking out my glasses, the staff was very friendly and helped me find the right fit. read more

OMG! My first yelp review is gonna be this! We wanna thank Matt again for the hospitality. We walked in randomly and just want to purchase some contact lenses. Matt not only offers to clean my sunglasses and gives my boyfriend the lenses quickly. He is super super super nice and sweet. Even thou the shop is already closed but Matt still welcomes us in and being extremely helpful. Appreciate it!!!!!!! read more

Dr. Faye and the whole team are fantastic. I felt very cared for both - great eye care and great advice on frames. Highly recommended!

Have been coming here for several years and always get the best service and care. Dr Margaret is awesome and always spends the time to go over everything with you. Steph helped go over all my benefits and even helped me get the contact rebate done right then and there so I don't have to worry about it. All in all, great experience! read more

My husband and I were able to get appointments scheduled very easily and once there we were seen promptly for our annual/general eye checkups. Luckily neither of us require glasses but we still looked around at what they had to offer for computer and sunglasses. They had a great assortment. The doctor was easy to talk to and the rest of the office staff couldn't have been nicer. Definitely recommend! read more

I have been going to West Loop Eye Care for over three years now, and they have been nothing short of terrific. I have had two different optometrists during my time there, and they were knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. The support staff, Matt & Fernando, are the best you will find in the business, and they have been there the entire time I have been a client. Recently, I purchased a year's supply of contacts, glasses, and even took advantage of the 50% off promotion for sunglasses. Both Matt & Fernando were helpful throughout the whole process, also going as far as running over to their sister store around the corner to get contacts for me. I would highly recommend this store and staff to anyone! read more

I was very pleased with my experience at the West Loop Eye Care. The doctor and staff were very friendly and helpful. They also have a nice selection of glasses in the office. The place was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon, but I still finished my appointment in less than an hour. I needed some new contacts and had to replace my old lenses on my glasses. I received the new contacts via mail in just three days and they called me two days later telling me my glasses were ready. Service is fast here so I definitely recommend them. read more

They're under new management and it's absolutely awful, not to mention their prices are inordinately inflated. Since they switched management and decided to raise prices and will likely continue to do so, after 12 years, my family and I are going elsewhere, for better care and more competitive prices. Not to mention, depending on your insurance provider you may or may not receive decent service. read more

I live right across the street from Vision Boutique and figured it would be a convenient option to get an eye exam/contact lens refill. I stopped in to make an appt and it turned out they weren't yet set up to accept my vision insurance. However, their sister store - Eye Care Center (located only two blocks away) did in fact accept it so they directed me there. Vision Boutique is what you'd expect from any indy eye place - nice selection of frames, boutique atmosphere, etc - the staff was really friendly and helpful even though I wasn't going to be utilizing them directly so I had good expectations for Eye Care Center. I made an appt for a few days later and one for Amy as well who decided after all these years to finally have her eyes checked. (insert joke here...) Anyway, ECC was a complete 180 from VB. It was located on the 3rd floor of an office building and shared office space with a dental practice (weird). It also had the appearance of what I would expect gov't subsidized health care for illegal immigrants to look like. The selection of glasses were decent (definitely on the lower end but they did have an ok selection of designer frames for Amy to check out while waiting for the Dr). The Dr himself deserves 5 stars. He was friendly, knowledgeable, etc and even seemed out of place in his own store. Both of our exams were standard, quick, and efficient and then it was time to move on to one of the sales associates for my contacts and Amy's glasses ... The girl who "helped us" was probably one of the worst sales people I have ever had the displeasure of working with. Maybe she's used to working with a different kind of clientele - one that is uneducated or unfamiliar but after 30 seconds of me giving her background (been wearing contacts for 15+ years, able to get them online, etc, etc) - she should have gotten the hint and shut down her bs. Instead, she tried to railroad me into spending money over and above my insurance plan which was completely unnecessary. I know how many fk'n boxes I need to last me a year and I also know that I can pay $19 online for the same thing you're trying to rob me for $31 for. Long story short - I left with 2 boxes of contact vs 6 boxes as she claimed my insurance didn't cover anything else (which I knew was completely false). Went home, spoke to my insurance company - called her back livid, and sure enough 4 more boxes were going to be available to me in a few days. She tried to roll me for $200+ and the whole thing ended up costing me $6. It's pretty pointless to try to scam someone who is clearly knowledgeable and although I truly liked the Dr/owner - I wonder if this is a reflection on him as well. (I'll give him the benefit of the doubt). Amy's glasses were less of an issue but took over two weeks to make which seemed excessive. Although I liked the Dr - there's just too many options in the eye care world to be a repeat customer at a place that left such a bad taste in my mouth for something that should have been clear cut and dry. I just feel badly for their customers who don't know any better. read more
