I tried to handle this privately before posting, but after being ignored and disrespected, people need to know. I called twice on two separate days asking to speak with management and never received a call back. When I called again today, the woman who answered claimed she was the manager. As I was explaining the situation--our treatment and the issues with the food--she was dismissive and then hung up on me mid-sentence. Completely unprofessional. The food itself was unacceptable. The ham on my turkey club sandwich was undercooked and the cheese wasn't even melted. For the amount I paid, the quality was nowhere near acceptable. What made the situation worse was how we were treated. As Black customers, the service we received felt noticeably different--cold, inattentive, and unwelcoming. That experience, combined with being ignored by management and then hung up on, is beyond frustrating. I spent $56.00 here and received poor food, poor service, and zero accountability. if you enjoy a bartender that speaks in such a fashion a longshoreman would blush, this is your location. the blond bartender during day shift got irritated with me for ordering a "dirty martini" and it just went downhill from there. Had not been in for years and thought I'd give the old neighborhood bar another try. I was there four years ago with two other couples and we were all disappointed with the quality of service. Waitress got our orders all wrong. This time I wanted a drink, order food and waste some $ on pull tabs. after difficulty with my drink order, I went and found my own menu and sat down to play pull tabs. I asked for $20 out of a numbered game. The blond, muffin top bartender that had trouble with my drink asked what # again? thought perhaps she had a hearing difficulty so asked a bit louder to which she turned to me and hollered "don't yell at me". I responded don't yell at me. I asked for my money back and tried to leave peacefully and she launched into a tirade that would make a seasoned laborer blush. Haven't given a one star in awhile. But this place truly deserves it. I'm usually very understanding and I try to give benefit of the doubt, but when staff literally are flat out disrespectful, it's hard for me to understand in tough times how they can afford to be like that and lose potential business. I walked in a pretty busy bar with the bartenders paying no attention to anyone coming in. I can understand, it's a Thursday night. And I come here because it's one of the few places playing nfl game. However, no matter how long I waited none of them looked my way even though I was obviously looking at them waiting to order. I wasn't walking in just to stand. I walked to other side of the bar where there was just one bartender near the lottery tickets?? I asked if I could sit there and he just quickly said yes. Eventually he realized I might order something, and asked if I wanted to order something albeit pretty rudely. Eventually, he I guess forgot I ordered a cider and started waiting on other tables, meanwhile I'm just waiting for a damn cider. Another bartender who I never even saw yet asks if ordered something and I say a cider. He can also see that the other guy should've got my cider quick instead of going to all the other tables. Then this guy grabs me my cider finally, and when I ask what kind it is, he has absolutely no idea.... What?!! I was kinda fed up and wanted to cash out after my one cider, and when I said I wanted to cash out, the bartender couldn't hear me? One foot away... He looks at me like he's waiting for something, and I tell him the other bartender already took my card info... I'm so fed up I literally tell him I don't get how they're not on the same page and literally confused me, like who the heck is my main bartender lol! I went to beer star after, my main place and I should've just came here. Train your staff, and I hope you're not going here if you expect a good time. If you have a Time Machine and go back to previous management this was the ports bar to go to. Now it is a shell of its former self. I'm surprised as other establishments owned by this group like The Parkway are excellent. The difference is obvious. The bar/restaurant manager and staff don't care I waited 20 minutes before any server came over and after dropped off menu and drink she disappeared. I had to flag down a different server after sitting another 15 minutes to order. And they weren't busy and the morning game crowd had cleared out (Seahawk game over. But it's a sports bar so what about the games you ask. The manager came out 10 minutes after start of afternoon NFL games to reset and just took his time not caring. We used to come here for the pub steak and the Cobb salad quit a bit! We used to go there a lot! Last month we "gave it another try" for the pub steak and it was bad quality. Back in the day it was melt in the mouth and so good! Told myself I won't be back. Today, we went to "give another try" lo and behold, it was horrible. Since they changed management and cooks, the food quality has gone down. Sad. Will never go back nor will I recommend this dive bar. The steak was low quality, rubbery and just not the same. We went here for the first time recently. It's a sports bar with a million TVs and communal tables (similar to Terry's Office Tavern). We got a burger and a veggie burger. One with fries, one with tots. Both were surprisingly good! The veggie patty was Molly's Kitchen which was similar to Impossible or Beyond. Also very impressive was that there was no upcharge for the veggie patty like there is at most places. Service was a bit disorganized, but it all worked out. The Bloody Mary's were odd. We couldn't put our finger on why, but a guess would be too much steak sauce in the mix. Anyway, after avoiding this place for a dozen years we were pleasantly surprised! We'll go back in the future. 11/22/2021- We returned for another lunch. The deli sandwich was very good. Really good roll! My wife really enjoyed it. I ordered Buffalo wings. The wings were large (I barely finished them and that's not usually a problem for me)! The wings were super-crispy! My only complaint is that they didn't have enough sauce. read more

This place was a one of a few recommendations I received to watch the NFC championship game. Glad I went here. This place is huge! I sat where I thought was the main dining room but it was just one of a few rooms. Most of the customers were here also so the ambiance was great to watch the game. Everyone that works here are friendly and service was fine. We had a few workers checking in on us to make sure we were good. The food is your typical bar food. It was decent. I had the turkey bacon sandwich with tots and my husband had the mushroom burger with fries. Both were good. I will definitely come here again for game days. Lots of screens to watch the game in every room they have. They even have a game room . The ambiance is great, local customers. One note though, on busy days expect to wait a little longer for your food, but it's all good. This is a local business and one I would highly recommend and support. read more

Ive been going to westend pub for 20 years to enjoy their pubs salads, but after today i will no longer go there. The portions have been cut in half and there is no longer steak in it, instead it looks and tastes like leftover shredded potroast. We asked them if they could put the Seahawks game on a tv and before we asked the bartender said "I have like 10 other things to do what do you want" like totally uncalled for... not the first time we've experienced a rude vibe from one of the staff members. Maybe because we don't come in often like others, we noticed they favor the locals more, we do live down the road and walk there biweekly usually for a game or for dinner. Came back in today after a very long hiatus due to poor food quality. The menu is not impressive at all. Limited items and a huge price increase. Shrinkflation is in full effect at the West End. I ordered a burger slider with fries. The slider is the smallest I've ever seen. Not much bigger than a fifty cent piece for $5 and the fries are separate. $3 for those. My husband ordered three different sliders along with fries too. All of his sliders were micro small and they took some fries off his plate and put them on mine. We paid for two fries but only got one serving. All three of his sliders were super dry. We also ordered an Italian beef dip to go or something like that. It serves as their "French dip" and it was $18. I opened the box before we left and was shocked at how tiny it was. There was also maybe 8-10 fries in the box and about 1/4 cup of au jus. I asked the cook why the sandwich was so tiny and he said because I cut it in half. Clearly they don't care. We were also charged a to go fee and a fee for asking for ranch dressing. If you want wings, don't get them here. You will pay $25 for 12 wings. Go elsewhere. $65 for a bunch of crap and left hungry and disappointed!! RIP WEST END PUB! I've been coming to the westend for over ten years and I have never had such poor service. We were finally served after people who came in after us were served. We never saw our waiter/ bartender again. Our food finally came, we were mostly ignored when our table was in front of the bar. I found out the manager was working the bar so I was even more appalled at the treatment we received. Hats off to the cook or we may never have gotten our food. We went there on a Thursday morning for breakfast when they opened at 10:00 a.m. However, it was only after we sat down and ordered coffee did we discover that they don't serve breakfast during the week, only on the weekends! The waitress looked at me like I was an idiot. I specifically checked with their website beforehand to make sure of this. NOWHERE on the website does it state anything to the contrary. First, there is a moving banner on their website that states "Breakfast served 9:00A to 11:30A"; that's ALL it says. Second, on the graphic of their breakfast menu, at the top of the menu, it states, "Breakfast served until 11:30 a.m." Again, no mention of weekends only. Whoever designed their site obviously did a lousy job, and surely West End Pub knows of this, but they apparently don't care to have it changed and corrected. read more

We use to love coming here, last night was the last night! They were possibly understaffed but certain customers definitely had the staffs attention while we waited and waited for any type of service! Finally came and took our food order I asked what kind of salsa came with the chips and salsa, he said la Victoria or something similar... I scrunched my face and said no thanks... I ordered tacos, husband pub steak (what he always gets) while we wait we asked the cook to throw in some shrimp ( we were sitting right by the kitchen) ate those, dinner still not up so asked for more shrimp, (just shrimp no fries) finally our food comes out and they gave me chips and salsa with my tacos, I'm thinking it must come with it clearly I said I didn't want it, and didn't touch a single one, my husband steak was soooo tough he couldn't chew it, he sent it back and ordered a burger dip instead, after 20 minutes he asked if the burger dip was started? They hadn't even started it yet, we canceled and got our tab. $32 for those 12 frozen shrimp and $5 for chips and salsa I didn't ask for, a hungry husband and not even tipsy because they only came around once for drinks. I liked the food here! It is definitely a sports bar. There are at least 15 TVs so if you want to watch a game this would be your spot. They have the typical selection of beers. For dinner I had the reuben. It was good. It had a ton of meat on it, some sandwiches can be all bread but this one wasn't. It came with either fries or a salad. I opted for the fries which were good and had a tasty seasoning. Service was good, and the food was out relatively quickly. I would stop here again sometime! read more

I have been going back and forth past this place on 6th for the past 5 years since I have lived here and never went in here until recently. I did a search on Yelp and was impressed with their average that I figure we should go give it a try. They have breakfast or brunch and had a hash that looked great so that is something I will file into the back of my mind for another time. We went here during lunch and Steve got their wonderful Jack Daniel's Burger. I had a bite of it and it tasted fantastic! The french fries that came with it were excellent as well! I really wanted something lighter than a burger and went with the taco salad. Overall I liked it but the ground hamburger had that taco spice which can get to be a bit much on the saltiness and by the end of my dish it was a bit much but other than that it was pretty good. The vegetables in the salad were fresh. The service was friendly and prompt which is always good. I would indeed come back but I think I'll come back when I am hungrier and get that Jack Daniel's burger because it was very good! read more
