Thought I'd give Round Up another chance, hadn't been in a while and I was told there were new owners. Yup, new owners but same old Round Down. Sat in the restaurant for forty five minutes waiting for food to go. Food came out, went directly home (four minutes away) pulled stone cold food out of bag! WTF everything either went into the toaster oven or microwave. Went back in the next day to find out why and was told so sorry I look into it, took my name and phone number. It's been well over a month and no contact with me, zero. So disappointing because having good food a mile away would be great but not to be. My 143.00$ mistake, don't do the same. read more

We came in excited to watch the Seahawks win the superbowl. While the waitstaff was nice, there were two women that were selling raffle tickets & were drinking nonstop. Without any heads up, at half time they turned all the tvs to the "turning point" concert. These females stated (while patrons booed) that it wasn't political. What bothered me wasn't that they were sloppy, selling tickets while throwing back shots, prancing around like they are goddesses while the bar staff is busting their tails... what bothered me that: 1: it was never mentioned they were turning off the superbowl halftime show while they sold tickets 2: they didn't listen to the patrons that was upset and say, well let's compromise/vote/whatever 3: they didn't try to deescalate the situation for the staff that have to put up with the complaints and walk outs. Look, if you don't want urban feel, than what the fuck do you think you are going to get. This place is five miles into country. Period. That said outta every place I've been to in the 6 years of living here it's been consistently great! Every employee is exemplary in their positions. Not a biker bar like locals scared to go there told me. A local bar, with a local feel. Great time. Will return again and again. read more

Absolutely the worst breakfast we have ever eaten. Service was good but the food SUCKED. Big portions of cold over salted eggs Benedict , The egg was not poached but hard boiled in one big lump. My wife's pancakes were cold, scrambled eggs were hammered and terrible bacon. Friend had chicken fried steak was uncooked and slimy. Scrambled eggs were cold and hammered. Waitress asked how the food was and I told her being honest. I overheard her tell the cook, she replied "oh well" ... really???? None of us finished our breakfasts. Very disappointing for our neighborhood restaurant/bar. Oh well.... You'll never get our business again. Put that on your plate and eat that read more

This is my local favorite, but it's not for everyone. If you're looking for fancy, just keep driving. Never had anything from the menu that was less that excellent. Biscuits and gravy are especially good, and the portions are always HUGE. The nachos are especially massive. Think twice before ordering the full nachos. Service is great, too. read more

Taking a ride and I had a few too many beers at the place we had lunch (no I was not driving). Really need to find a bathroom and we're out in the middle of nowhere. UGH!!! If we were in the woods, life would have been good, but with traffic constantly passing by.. UM NOPE!!! A ha... There's a dive bar / restaurant in a shack of a place and it states outside that bikers are welcome. Hmmm, if I'm walking into a biker bar, I might just wait. Nope, it wasn't. Sign says, bathroom for customer's only. Alright, great excuse to have another beer. He He He.... As we walk in, we decide to sit in the bar area, which is actually more well lit than the dining area. As we sit down... We are greeted by the bartender who calls us kids & asks what we want. I'm liking this place so far!! Then after we get our drinks, the owner hobbles out on his crutches. We start up a conversation and he lets me know how he hurt himself... We'll just say there was drinking and physical interaction (and fun physical interaction at the bar, not a fight in the bar.). What I really like about this place... Even though this was our first visit here... It felt like we had been coming here for YEARS and everyone welcomed & spoke with us as we had been... Next trip to Mt Rainier, I'll definitely be stopping by to say "hi", if not only to see how the leg is healing up!! read more

This is a small dive bar, great food and slow service but in a good way. They are small in a small town. The only game in town. Don't expect big city service, just enjoy the atmosphere and the people. Come for the good time and no rush spirit of this place. Low stress but fun times. Slow down and enjoy life. read more

I used to get huge breakfast here all the time. Not anymore. The last few time I have ordered a pick up (6-7 times) my order has always been wrong. I ordered 2 butcher block omelets that are normally HUGE but this time they were very small. I called and the lady was very rude on the phone and hung up on me. So I had to waist more gas to take it back. Lady said that that's the new size. Less then half of the normal size. 90% of the time when you dine in, your order is still wrong. You NEVER get your drinks refilled. Place is dirty and extremely hot in the summer. I will NEVER be going back. read more

By far one of the worst breakfast spots my husband and I have been too. We stopped here on our way to Northwest Trek and thought this would be as good as a place as any for breakfast. The orders were taken relatively fast and our drinks brought out, but that was the extent of quick service. We waited for over an hour and a half for our food, and thought about leaving more than once. We even had to ask when our food would be brought out and we were told five minutes. That five minutes turned into twenty. We saw three customers leave while we were there because of the slowness. I would not recommend this place for breakfast. Ridiculously slow for food and the food isn't even that good. We will not return. read more

Be prepared for bubble guts, if you are lucky. We came here one night for karaoke with Kristine. We sang. We had fun and Kristine was amazing. She is a goddess with a voice of an angel. We decided to have some food against advice from others and we totally regret it. I had the French dip and my wife had the chicken wrap. The next morning my guts fell out. I thought I was going to die. I sh*tted out everything I ate and drank the night before. The Round Up owes me new sheets but they refuse to pay. I may take them to court. (I will keep you all up dated.) I thought it was just me but my wife woke up, ran to the bathroom clinching cheeks also. We were fighting over the damn toilet. She ended up in the tub sh*tting all over the place. If you want good fun Karaoke experience, go there for K2K productions, otherwise, STAY THE F*UCK AWAY. This place is a friendly bar with a diversity of patrons, from bikers to the after work regulars. BUT, the reason I go is for the bar food! We get take out burgers a couple times a month and they are awesome! My mom and I can share a $10 burger and fries and be satisfied (yes, that big)! We have eaten at the Round Up a few times and have been disappointed each time. The flys are bad, the service is slow, and for a bar to stop serving wings, fries, or most any bar food after 8PM is absurd. The waitress is always nice and apologetic but for me to continue to patronize a place the have to at least be consistent about having the food and maintain the restaurant's cleanliness at a reasonable level. I am shocked they have passed the health inspection but maybe the health inspector never visits. read more

Stopped here for a quick lunch before some Tanwax lake fishing. Our "waitress" came by once for drinks and once to take our order, and then never again for over an hour. We waited over 50 minutes for our food and then only 2 of 3 orders came. They left the third on the counter and seemed to forget it. After another 10 min, my friend tried getting it himself only to be told "that's not yours". We were done and wanted out of this place. We told the bartender we'd pay for it but didn't get it. She proceeded to say "its right there" pointing to exact omelette my friend was told was not his. When I asked about the wait the answer was "honestly we're a small place with a small grill/stove, it just takes time". Lady when you are advertising as a full fledged "restaurant", if you can't cook more than 6-7 meals an hour (yep! We timed it) your "honestly" nothing of the sort. Horrible attitudes/service...it is inexcusable plain and simple for anyone operating a business to think this is ok. Oh and two different families (of 3 and 4 people each) walked in and then out after being ignored for over 15-20min. My disgust at the way a nice enough place like this run/managed is off the charts. This place is a total hole in the wall (which is my preference, personally) - the service is great and they make you feel right at home. It's affordable, which is great since it's one of the only places in the area. Also, the nachos are delicious and the small will feed 3-4 people generously as a meal. Well, my family of 4 came here for breakfast, sat there for 30 minutes, didn't get a hello or be right with you. My husband finally wrote down our order and tried to give it to the lady who was the only one working it looked like but she was "too busy" to even take the piece of paper and enter our order into the POS. There was some guys walking around refilling coffee and my husband asked them if they could take the order and they said they "didn't know how to". They weren't helping the lady run food or anything else so maybe they shouldn't even be employed if they don't know how to do anything. My family got up and left. We had met my dad and wife there, they were there before us so their order was placed before we got there. So now we are headed some where else well my dad eats with his wife and we take our kids to a totally different establishment. Negative stars if I could. I've worked in the restaurant and bar industry for over 7 years, and I've never treated any customers this way. I hope the owner reads this review and takes it into consideration instead of blowing it off. read more
