Chocolate Chunk Cookie
Yohannes M.

Well where do I begin? Our order was missing multiple items: both our saucy nuggets and our fries. The man in the drive-through window was beyond rude. Beyond rude! On our first trip through the drive through he literally told me not to move--yes, he actually used the words "don't move," and loudly to boot--several times before yelling "okay c'mon now" after he was done having the car in front of me reverse and go forward several times. When I got to the window, he briskly handed me my order, then closed the window without a word. We immediately observed that the large frosty we ordered was nearly liquid but we decided against going back and having to deal with the rude guy at the window a second time . . . Well, until we checked our food, that is. Not only were we missing our fries and our order of saucy nuggets, but the "fresh baked cookie" we ordered was literally burnt and hard as a rock (photo is enclosed). Unbelievable! Indignant and thoroughly outraged, we turned around and went back through the drive through. The same guy was at the window when we returned. "What was your order," he demanded, after I clearly stated what our problem was. Like, what!? "I just told you that," I told him. "I just want what I didn't get. Oh, and by the way," I continued pulling out the burnt cookie,"this cookie is terribly burnt." "That's not burnt," he said dismissively, barely glancing at the it. "WHAT are you missing?" "I just told you twice!" I said in disbelief, literally shocked that the man was continuing to be rude, "our saucy nuggets and our fries." "What size?" he demanded. "I don't know," I replied becoming even more irate. "Any size. Whatever!" He slammed the window shut in my face without replying, disappeared for a minute, then reopened it and nearly hurled a bag at me. "Thanks," he said sarcastically before slamming the window shut a final time. In the bag was a small order of saucy nuggets and a small fry. As we drove away in a state of something resembling shocked indignation, we agreed that we probably shouldn't have returned in the first place. In any case, I hope that this description of my horrible experience with this establishment helps someone else avoid going through the same, or worse, in the future. This place was unprofessional, disrespectful, and most of all just plain rude. My advice is simple: stay away! Stay as far away as possible!

Texts from my ex-boss

When I was working there for about 2 weeks i was there early every day and stayed late as long as they needed me. I thought I was doing good but I quit soon after because the manager that hired me found out that I was looking at a new job that paid way more. So in he yelled at me and decided to chew me a new one. I don't know how they are still open but is was so rude and unprofessional to yell and treat a new employee like that. Not to mention on my days off as I was taking my wife to a doctors appointment when he asked me to come in. When I politely declined he then stared talking about how new employees always try to make their own schedules when I was told that day was my day off. I hate them and hope that for the good of the employees that are still there quit and find a new place to work

Had a coupon for a free Breakfast baconator (with purchase). Being a fan of the regular baconator and son of baconator this drew me in. Hadn't had the Breakfast Baconator yet and this coupon was excuse pass to get in there for one. It was just as I expected - warm bun, bacon, cheese and patty. It delivered. The egg is actually a decent replacement for the additional patty. Only available at breakfast though. Why must they do this? I also got a Wendy's frosty-ccino, which is basically just a ice coffee. Also not too bad. Got a small which is more than enough. This particular Wendy's was nice. Staff were alright, but the place was clean and looked way better than Wendy's locations I've seen around, they even have outdoor seating. They could use a wipe down though If I have another coupon I'll probably find myself back here.

Clearly back in 2016, I didn't like my Baconator. I rarely stop at a Wendy's. Enjoy their Frosties though. Five years later, on my way to catch a ferry, detoured again to grab some grub via the drive through (4/21/21). Tasty Breakfast Baconator and Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit shared with The Homie at the ferry terminal. Also, the Ballard location went through a significant renovation. Five years later, adding two more stars.

We got the flamin' cali crunch with Chicken. I love that outside had a nice crunch from the tortilla and then inside, you get a different crunch from hot cheetos. The meat was good, it's a little dry but still flavorful. This alone can feed 2 people The carne asada curly fries with added Onion rings. This was so heavy and in generous amount. Can easily feed 3-4 people. I love that the fries stayed crispy the entire time and it didn't get greasy at all. Also, it didn't taste or feel greasy. The onion ring was surprisingly good. I love the flavor. The carne asada was in huge chunks and still tender and cooked well. Why the 4 stars and not 5: location is a little sketchy, the ordering system isn't that great and both dishes was a little dry and you definitely need to drink water

I've had sandwiches, bowls, tenders, thighs and drums. They're all good. The sandwiches are the high point in my opinion - particular shoutout to the Slawsome and Hot Honey. They're big and messy but tasty. Can't go wrong with them, and I frequently can't help but order one. The bowls are powerful. I've had both kinds on different trips and they're hard to do in a single sitting, whereas sandwich + side is not. Just be warned. The sides are straightforward - what you see is what you get. They tend to be a little more basic, or classic if you will, than the sandwiches. I like this, since they serve as a side/counterpoint. We tend to get the slaw and pot of gold. The fries are the battered style which are very good and combo well with the rest of the menu. Takeout times tend to be accurate and the staff have been working hard but helpful every time we stop in. Most importantly they've been consistently good every time we go - and often during peak busy times, so that speaks well of their kitchen staff. Top marks all around. The move to the new spot didn't slow them down a bit, so make sure you check the address before going if you haven't been in a few months.

We had visited the Ballard location before they had moved to their new home. Stopped by the new location a few weeks ago. The new location is definitely in the sketchy part of Ballard, but it was nice to have a designated parking lot, rather than trying to find a street spot at the old location! My husband and I both ordered 3 tendies, in cayenne heat (level 2 spicy). Didn't seem spicy enough for my liking, so next time I am going to try the level 3! The chicken is delicious! It's crispy, juicy and flavorful. They offer a lot of sauces to choose from too. Although if you ask me, if you order any spicy level, the chicken doesn't need it! My husband is a dipper though and he likes his sauce. His fave is the Honey Mustard. (I opted for a garlic aioli. I love garlic but it was a little much). Since I was feeling like a comfort side, I selected the potatoes and gravy. (I have also had the fries and the macaroni and cheese). They have a good selection of sides. We love Cookie's chicken!

A 10 top joint, this place is small, however there is a patio outside that also shares with another restaurant so that during the summer addition seating is available. We walked up to the counter and were pleasantly greeted by a young lady who took our order. My father ordered a bacon cheeseburger and I ordered the pastrami burger which was a cheeseburger with pastrami also on it. We also ordered onion rings and the Greek fries to share. We both had chocolate shakes. The food came out quickly, probably 10 mins or so. The shakes are hand done and mixed to order. DELICIOUS! Both of our burgers were juicy and delicious. All burgers have lettuce, onion, pickle and tomato. Several versions of burgers, sandwiches and salads available. The rings were to me perfect, well cooked and great breading. The Greek fries were also delicious, however, HEAVY GARLIC. Just be aware that your Vampire boyfriend will be repelled for hours!! I look forward to trying some of their other options the next time.

Based off what we got, they seem to be able to deliver despite the menu size. I tried the Chik'n Bacon ranch - Crispy chik'n filet, organic tempeh bacon, smoked Gouda cheese, lettuce, tomato and creamy ranch, toasted pretzel bun. Not bad, definitely crispy but I found it to be small for almost $13. My friend had the Maverick Burger - House-seasoned 1/4 lb Beyond™ patty, crispy onion rings, organic tempeh bacon, dill pickles, choice of cheese, hickory BBQ and house-made special sauce on a toasted pretzel bun. Also pricey at $16, but it was sizeable and I tried some of it. Very good, would recommend. Where it took a bit of a dip was, I ordered some fries for us to split at $4. Those Fries were the size the of a small order of McD's fries, you know that tiny bag that you can basically pour into your mouth in one go similar to when you're down to the crumbs of a chips bag? Yeah, that was supposed to be shareable. When offering condiments, staff guy mentioned that the fries came with 1 ketchup cup, I figured ok I guess I better get an additional sauce for $0.75. This and the ketchup were these pitiful cups smaller than a jello shot. So, the mains are good, but the sides and snacks that I've seen are not worth it. Other than that, I'd give another try.

this sandwich was highly impressive as the main part of the…read moresandwich, it was pretty necessary that the pork be cooked to near-perfection, and i have to say it was here it gave off a deep, brown-ish color, which showed the extent of it's cooking and marination. It wasn't quite incredibly tender, but the marinade added an absolute ton of flavor. more importantly, it was present plentifully throughout the sandwich, so practically every bite came filled with pork I also have to mention how packed together the ingredients are between the buns. when you start eating, it's inevitable that a quarter of the ingredients will fall onto the wrap below, leaving a nice secondary meal to finish off after the sandwich is done. the sandwich is packed incredibly tight during the wrapping process, but it unravels a bit while eating. for me, the major highlights of this meal was the onions and the aioli Starting with the onions, these may be the best I've ever had on a sandwich. They're caramelized amazingly, placed onto the sandwich in astoundingly large pieces, are crunchy, and there's just a lot of them. They're just wonderful both texturally and taste-wise. This sandwich is absolutely lathered with aioli - practically dripping with it. This boosted the overall flavor so much, especially because this aioli was addictingly good. In my experience, the amount of sauce has been directly proportional to how much I enjoyed a sandwich, and when the sauce is this good - it's even on the top of the bun! - i absolutely loved it Somehow the lettuce stayed crunchy despite all the otherwise wetness going on in the sandwich. Props for that The jalapenos were great as well for that extra bit of spicy - I would've loved to have more of them while the bread was toasted well, the one downside was i thought it was pretty hard and tough, which made chewing kind of difficult. I found my jaw to be pretty tired at the end after eating this. I would've much preferred a softer roll that's easier to bite into I've had similar sandwiches from Paseo and Bongos, and in my opinion this does edge out both of those Comparing to Paseo, the sandwich there has way more oil, making it more sloppy and I do like the bread there a lot better, but the pork feels richer and better marinated here (although less fatty), and the onions are definitely caramelized better here as well. Bongos has a pretty similar level of pork with more, but onions are definitely a step down What moves this place above those two for me is the amount of aioli used here far exceeds those other places, which just makes the overall eating experience better For the price (about 14 dollars) this is a really filling meal

Definitely worth a visit for a great sandwich.
