This business requires customers to use computers to order food instead of ordering at the counter. This makes ordering food complicated. Also I have tried multiple times to use the mobile app and not only did I never get a discount but when I asked for help using the app I ended up accidentally ordering food from a McDonald's in Kent and got ripped off. I don't know if having autism makes apps more complicated but a friend said the app was easy for her and I have tried using it multiple times to order food and I got ripped off because of it. This makes me feel I'm experiencing discrimination based on my ability to use apps and if this doesn't change I might stop coming to this location and maybe McDonald's All together. read more

This McDonalds is close my place so when I get a craving and don't have to go far. This Mcdonalds is quite popular. Even on a Saturday morning the drive thru was packed. I decided I'd go inside, which I always advise so that you can pre check your order. The inside is clean, well maintained and spacious. This is always important because it shows that the crew can balance the rush of orders as well as take time to maintain the lobby. Speaking of maintaining. There is a Mcdonalds Play-place here for the youngsters. From what I understand there aren't too many of these around anymore, and perhaps less so thanks to the on-going pandemic, so this is cool to see kids be able to enjoy this while having a happy meal. They close it daily for an hour to wipe it down and sanitize it. This particular visit. The breakfast sandwiches. Which are second to none in fast food. My oh so favorite Sausage, egg and cheese Mcgriddle and Sausage biscuit which were on point and came out quick. Took them to go and said see ya later to that drive thru line. Still, it looks like the crew had it in hand behind the counter. If feel the need, and I'm sure I will again for some Mickey D's, it's good to know this one's right off the Market strip. read more

I used the kiosk to select 2 bacon mcdoubles and the $1 deal did not work at checkout. I don't understand the low reviews. If a food business gets your order wrong, just bring the receipt back to the store and ask politely if they can fix it. 99% they will fix it. Why I love McDonald's? It's the nostalgia. Franchises are consistent. Mcdonald's hours are unbeatable. They pretty much never close. OK, back to the McRIB, if only I didn't watch Simpsons over the years on the McRib, I'd probably wouldn't have rolled up and ordered this. My expectations were too high, the patty tasted like surprise meat and where are the "bone" indentations. I probably will order this again, each time they rerelease it. This McDonald's very clean - it's probably one of the cleanest location I've visited in the US. To my surprise, staff was friendly. I visited the nearby Wendy's recently but McDonald's employees looked a lot more lively and enjoying their time at work than Wendy's. Food is as expected - it is basically the same wherever you go - I was happy to satisfy my cravings for some McDonalds chicken nuggets and fries. read more

I came in on a Sunday morning and went to the sales counter. One of the employees had insisted that I use the order kiosks and I had to shout several times to get help. I know some reading this post was say "use the kiosk." Easier said than done. McDonald's has the worst kiosks. As in as cumbersome as many call centers. Yes, I do use self check out at Safeway, QFC or Target. Those three have spent the money for decent software that is much more straight forward. Also, McDonald's kiosks don't take cash. The staff at this location are like public transit workers: the Union Policy states "NOT IN MY JOB DESCRIPTION" when it comes to customer service. Also, I will point out that Jack In The Box tried self serve kiosks and that failed miserably. One other point I will bring up: in a staff meeting I was involved with several years ago, our general manager up and said "You are Replaceable!" Yes, I can get service that fits my expectations. This is the most dysfunctional McDonald's I've ever been to. Is their purpose actually to serve food? I've tried the drive through 3x over a period of about 5 years and I've only once been able to successfully get food, and there were major problems each time. The first time, there was some problem and when we got to the order station they said they were no longer able to take orders. But everyone was still stuck in the drive-through lane because there is really no option to exit once you are in it, and the people in back did not know they were not taking orders until they got to the order station. Also the people in the front of the drive-through lane were really slow to exit, maybe they were arguing at the order window or had already paid but couldn't get their food? I don't know, but it was an awful backup for no food. The workers locked the doors, so the people stuck in the drive-through who couldn't move were knocking on the doors trying to figure out what was going on. The workers ignored them. The second time, when we got to the order station we were told that they were not able to take credit cards only cash. Luckily we had cash. Most people did not have cash. Again, these people all had to wait in a very long drive-through line and only found out about the cash-only policy for that night once they had reached the order station, and even after that they couldn't exit the line but were stuck going all the way through, even if they couldn't get food. People were understandably irate. The third time, we were able to successfully make our order at the order station, but when we pulled around to pay--a distance of maybe 10 feet--we were told the computers were down and they were no longer taking orders or serving food. Awesome. But again, the people in the line had no way to know this, so everyone was still getting in line and circling through for half an hour or more of wasted time. How is this place allowed to operate? Doesn't corporate have some sort of handle on quality for franchises? I've never experienced anything like it. read more

Ok like this McDonalds has gone to the dumps. I mean like you don't expect fine dining level service but when management is rude after their employee screws up an order it's bad. They messed up the order for a guy who was there before me then low and behold moments later I had an issue. Like I get it if your staff makes a mistake that's a training moment but you should also make it right to the cus I some what get the no refills thing to keep homeless from hanging all day but like you punish those paying customers who would like a refill and aren't trying to work the system bringing in the same cup everyday. Not good. I came here because I was craving a McDonald's apple pie. I went inside because the drive through line was long. I ordered 1 apple pie. I took my order and the worker told me it will be 10 minutes. I went in the car and waited about 20 minutes. I went inside and I asked the worker about the order he responded rudely "I told you 10 minutes!" So I waited in the car for another 10 minutes. I went back inside to and was told the same thing. I hate to admit that I eat McDonalds, but I have a toddler, and you know, LIFE, so I go here more often than I'd like. I love that they have a PlayPlace, and not just any PlayPlace, it's totally enclosed so the kiddos cannot escape (unless they know how to open doors), which is a nice feeling. I can let my toddler run around freely without worrying he's going to run out the exit (which he does try to do). Plus, if you use the mobile app, it's so easy to pick up your food without having to stand in line. I've only had a few orders come out incorrectly; mostly things like no sauce with the Happy Meal, no cup given for my adult meal, or getting grilled chicken instead of crispy. But, they were always very crowded and busy when these things happen, so I forgive you, McDonald's. read more

I went thru the drive thru tonight, March 29th at 8:20PM. The man behind me almost ran into me. He didn't have his front lights on either. I asked the man at the first window if he could let the man know he doesn't have his lights on. The employee didn't say anything. Then the employee at the second window, said no. So if this man behind me crashes or kills someone than that is on those employees who had the opportunity to do the right thing. This location of McDonald's is usually faster when you go through the drive thru, but they still get a long line of customers occasionally in the drive thru and also in store. They take longer than some other locations for picking up orders in store, depending on who's working the time you're there. Traffic gets backed up all around the restaurant and block, too. If you go through the drive thru, you'll probably get someone who's more polite and cordial with better customer service. If you go inside the store to order and pickup, there's at least one lady there who has a bad attitude and is kind of rude, especially when you're there to claim special offers off the McDonald's app. read more

Overall, I have good experiences at McDonald's. This one, however, as always been mediocre..at best. My last visit left a really bad taste in my mouth. I went through the drive thru, there was clearly a misunderstanding when I said, "I'll have a #2 with a diet coke but no cheese on the quarter pounder". I get to the window, I'm handed a quarter pounder and a diet coke. when I asked where my fries were, the manager stepped in and said I ordered only the burger and coke. I told her that I said a #2. I specifically said #2. I get how things can get mixed up but it was her dismissive attitude that made this visit the worst. She threw in a small fry and said, "I'm giving this to you for free but you didn't order it". I would expect this kind of BS from an employee but not a manager. She demonstrated to her co-workers that it's ok to talk to people like that. This is, after all, McDonald's. They'll always be busy and always have a line at the drive thru. As a supervisor where I work, I try to instill better customer service skills to the employees I oversee. This didn't happen. read more

You know what, I really like this location. It hasn't changed in decades, which feels very "neighborhood"/local to me, and I like that. The downside of that, however, is cramped parking and nowhere really to go if the drive-thru line is long. So, best not to go at the height of the lunch rush. BUT, what makes this location really special is CINDY! Anyone who has been here during the breakfast hours knows who Cindy is; she's the dark-haired lady who mans the drive-thru window, hands you your food, says something warm and wonderful to you--and really means it. I hope they give her a raise, because she makes that entire location. If she ever leaves, a lot of customers will be really sad! read more

So we go here at lunch pretty often. And I've come to the conclusion they must be making the nuggets before the lunch rush so that they're handing them out old. Literally any time I've come here at peak hours hoping to get good nuggets (y'all know what I mean. There's an obvious difference when they've been just sitting there). I have NEVER experienced such awful customer service. I know it's McDonald's and it's not like they're known for great customer service, but this was one for the books. I never write reviews, but this time I feel like I need to. Also, let me preface by saying that I have worked years of customer service myself, so I know how it goes. A couple nights ago, some friends and I were Lyfting home and asked our Lyft driver if he would mind swinging through the McDonald's drive-thru. He said that was fine, so we pulled into the lot, only to find a line that wrapped around the building. We were hungry though and our driver was fine with it, so we stayed. We got to the speaker to put in our order and ordered two hamburgers, five fries, and a double cheeseburger meal. I made a joke that they would probably mess up our order since it felt like we ordered a lot... and I probably should have knocked on wood. We got to the window and were given the drink that came with the meal and then two bags. As we were pulling away, we were making sure we had everything (probably should've stayed at the window while doing this) and noticed the double cheeseburger was missing. Not a big deal, I thought. The inside of the restaurant was closed, but we decided instead of having to sit in the long drive-thru line again, we'd just knock on the front door and surely they'd come help us fix the issue. We knocked for about two minutes straight, and finally a young guy who was working came and asked what was up. We let him know we were missing a double cheeseburger. He asked for the receipt, which we also never received. He said it would be one moment. A few minutes later, his female coworker cracks open the door, hands us a receipt, and says "there was no double cheeseburger on here," and then slams the door and walks away, without even giving us a chance to look at it or talk to her. We looked at the receipt, and it showed that they had mistakenly put "2 cheeseburger meal" on there instead of double cheeseburger meal. Regardless, we still didn't receive that part of the order. I tried knocking again and they ignored us, so at that point, I decided my only option was to walk over to the drive-thru window (after some encouragement from the Lyft driver - he was a true hype-man and wanted justice for us). I walked over to the drive thru window and told them we didn't receive that part of the order, and the guy who was working looked me dead in the eye and closed the window. I waited there, and a minute later he opened it again and told me I needed to go through the drive-thru again if I wanted to fix my order. I told him I wasn't waiting in that long line again and that they should just take care of it right then since it was their fault. His female coworker came over and told me that she packed the bag and put everything in it. She said if it was wrong, then I should show them the food bags (which were in the car by the front door on the other side of the restaurant). I said we would have shown her if she wouldn't have slammed the door on us, not giving us a chance to talk when she handed us the receipt. She then reiterated that she put everything in the bag and that I was wrong. I told her that maybe she should learn how to correctly pack an order, and the male coworker piped up saying "are you telling us we don't know how to do our job?" To which, obviously, I replied "yes"... because clearly, they don't. As this was happening, the Lyft driver walked around to the drive-thru window and told them that he doesn't even know us but he was a witness and that we truly did not receive the cheeseburger. The workers then slammed the drive-thru window shut and locked it. At this point, I was not willing to leave until they fixed the order. It wasn't so much about a dumb cheeseburger that was missing - at that point I didn't care about that anymore. It was more the principle of it all. I've worked customer service before - literally just apologize even if you think you're right and fix the order so you can move on. Not that hard. I waited at the drive-thru window and then they came back and told me that if I didn't leave, they'd call the cops. The Lyft driver (love this guy) said to them "Do it then! WE should be the ones calling the cops on YOU!" They slammed and locked the window again, and still we waited. Eventually an older man who I'm assuming was the store manager came, opened the window, and asked me to explain what was going on. I explained everything, and 30 seconds later, he handed me a double cheeseburger. To the Ballard McDonald's employees - set your egos aside and learn some customer service skills. read more

This was a start of a great weekend. My friends and I decided to perform a fast food tour and hit up 5 fast food joints within Ballard. This was the first stop. We had to. McDs is the leading fast food chain nation wide. It would be a sin to not have gone here. So. For the tour the goal was to try out their signature item so we ordered the Big Mac. Additionally, we also had a small order for French Fries and a Sausage McMuffin. We split everything up into 4ths and experienced America's #1 fast food chain. If you've ever had any of these items, it's as you were expecting. Although the Big Mac seems a lot smaller than I remembered. Feels a bit ripped off. Oh well. There isn't much to say about this particular McDonald's. Food is alright. This place apparently has additional parking across the street behind the drive through. Weird parking extension but nice to know seeing how their front parking spots are always full. read more

Well let me preface by saying I am a true sucker for McD once in a while. It's a bit ridiculous that I am even reviewing a McD. It goes without saying that this isn't the place to get a healthy meal, or even a satisfying one so to speak. By McD standards, this place usually hits the mark. Most of the staff is friendly, but some are quite slow and some are charmless. Sometimes when a line is backed up, they make little effort to get the lines moving, despite several employees and people in "manager" shirts. I've never eaten there because it seems like a pretty drab place to eat. But the allure of McD is obviously not really for the quality and taste, but for the convenience and price. Herein lies the downfall. This location, being very close to my old apartment, was the perfect place for me to grab a 10pm McDouble for a snack. Off the dollar menu, how can you beat such a deal-- oh wait. It's not really the *dollar* menu, lolz. Oh wait.. they also recently jacked up the prices, and a McDouble will now cost you well over two dollars. Even a plain cheeseburger will hit a couple dollars. What the hell is up with that? It was upsetting to learn of the price increase. Keep prices low, keep customers happy. More customers, more profit. I took an economics class. read more
