This franchise smartly demolished the old dingy looking Wendy's and remodeled it to look way better. The fire place was a really nice touch. Something you don't expect at a fast food place. Try to avoid th salads it always seems or tastes like to be super dry and old. Not very appealing. Feels like they just throw it in there just to say they serve something healthy. So the drive though parking area is a bit of a challenge entering from a small cramp side street and existing into the busy 15th heading South. Be aware there are a bunch of homeless roaming around. I'm really disappointed in Wendy's today. I go here often and usually as a drive thru patron but today I found myself in an unusual circumstance. I was craving a chocolate frosty and needing to use the restroom in an emergency situation (I'll spare you the details, lol). Three times I asked for the code. The first time I couldn't get the code to work so I asked the young man at the counter again and he seemed perturbed with me, even though he wasn't doing anything. The second time, same code and still no results. I came back and ordered my frosty. As he was making it, I asked two more people. The first Lady ignored me then the second woman I asked gave me the same code and I told her it wasn't working. She shrugged her shoulders and walked away. This wouldn't be a big deal if it hadn't been an emergency. So I'm disappointed that no one was able or willing to help. I understand that this is a very busy location and the employees work hard but someone could have at least checked the code or helped me open the door. read more

I just went here. 5pm on sunny Sunday afternoon...and the doors were locked, only drive through open. They also had a sign on the door directing all mobile orders to go through the drive through. (November 17th, 2017) I am sitting here in a BEAUTIFULLY REMODELED atrium that is warm and full of sunshine! ...Seattle-ites, take note: yes, I am relishing the SUNSHINE, happy me! I actually feel like I have a little glow of sun on my cheeks. Dare I say it? Could it be sunburn? In November?!? *sigh of bliss* Anyway back to reality; I am connected to their FREE wi-fi, and I am enjoying the friendly staff and ambiance here. RS, the general manager, was super helpful and accommodating and ready to network with surrounding businesses for meetings and events. Today they even have KISS fm 106.1 here from 11-1 pm with an enter-to-win drawing for Ed Sheeran tix (Ed is coming to Seattle next year). Of course, we all know Wendy's menu with prices as low as you may need and consistent menu items. The people here rarely dissapoint customers - their staff is reliable and professional. They even have $1 Frostys now and then! With a lower price point than most surrounding restaurants, a great location for informal dates for couples, new energetic franchise owners, seating that is perfect for either technology or intimacy, (check out the picture of their fireplace and their TV below!) and a great staff, Wendy's on 15th Avenue NW is going to be increasing business SOON. Yes. I went to Wendy's last night for the first time in probably 10 years... What can I say? Nothing satisfies at 12:30am like a 10 piece chicken nugget meal. Well, actually, that's not true at all. I can think of a lot of things I'd rather eat, but this place does the trick in a pinch. Decent, warm fast food. Nothing more, nothing less. Oh, and I appreciate that they don't salt the fries. My kid has been going to Wendy's all through school, he always mentioned he got the four for four deal. So last night I decided to go down and get the four for four deal. It wasn't exactly clear so I was trying to get clarification on it. And to start with. I didn't know what a jcb was. Asking for clarifications on everything. The guy just kept on trying to tell me that it was deleted and talking more about that than about what it was. I might have been a little side with him. So he cleared it up and then asked me what I wanted for a drink with a four for four. I said a diet Coke. He showed how much it was on the screen and then I got up to the window and handed him my card. He handed me back the receipt and a bag of the food. There is one cheeseburger in it. Junior cheeseburger and a fry. I asked him. Is this the four for four and could I get my drink. He asked to look at the receipt. My receipt no longer showed a four for four, nor the diet Coke that he just asked me about minutes ago, ask him what kind of drink would you like. I looked at him and he looked at me with a little snide grin. I just drove off because I felt like I was threatened. I guess I went to school. I'll never go there again. Recently I was cat-sitting for friends who live nearby. There was no parking to be found anywhere and it was raining. I didn't feel like walking several blocks so I ran through their drive-through so I could have a purchase on the books. I needed to use their parking lot and didn't wish to incur the towing gods. I bought their smallest soda to display on my dashboard as I nipped into the nearby apartments. No comment on their food as I didn't buy any. The week that I frequented the area, I did noticed that they do a steady business. And while I waited on my drink, they had a sign proudly proclaiming sea-salted fries with the skin left on... I was tempted but not enough to buy any. Basically it's fast food. It's not good for you but it's cheap and well... it's fast. Just went to the Wendy's in Ballard. Looks new and Ive driven by it a thousand times. Building looks nice and clean and I wanted to try it out. My kids pref the golden arches so I convinced them to give Wendys a try for their first time in their teenage life. Bad choice. We got iced tea and French fries- two staples in a quick fast food trip. We don't eat this stuff often- maybe once a month max. The fries were served hot- a good sign but flavorless. Little salt or any flavor for that matter. Wont need to touch them again. Now on to the tea. Got a medium but served in a large container. Ok I thought. Again- flavorless. Sure, I get the no sugar but there was no taste of tea. Just cold iced water with some murky color. Yuck. Skip this place. Fast Food Tour stop #2!!! This would have to be my 3rd time ever going into a Wendy's and ordering something. I'm always impressed with how quaint the counter always looks. It's somehow cute. Anyways for this stop, we weren't sure what was exactly their signature item. It was a toss up between the Dave's Double and Baconator. We ordered the Baconator when, to be honest, the Dave's Double should've been the proper choice. We also ordered the Spicy Chicken since we've heard that this sandwich has been highly recommended. Baconator felt like a strong competitor with the Jack in the Box's Bacon Ultimate Cheeseburger since it felt like it was immediately clogging arteries. Not a bad thing depending on how you look at it. The Spicy Chicken Sandwich wasn't to memorable sadly. It was good, but I barely could remember we had it. What a let down. I regularly go to this Wendys because its in the neighborhood and often have good deals. Their spicy chicken sandwich is so good. I was excited when they started serving breakfast. My first experience was fine. Since then... it continues to go downhill. There is little attention paid to details. For example, most recently, I ordered a sausage croissant and a bacon croissant. I received one croissant with both sausage and bacon, with no egg. The other had an egg along with bacon and sausage. The receipt was correct, but the sandwiches were odd. Also, though Wendys has started a rewards program, the drive thru staff does not seem to know how to scan rewards electronic cards. Frustrating! read more

Best fast food in Ballard. This recently remodeled Wendy's is surprisingly nice inside, with nice stone pillars and comfy seating and a "fireplace". Wendy's food is standard fare, pretty decent and of course frostys are delicious. Tends to appeal primarily to a surprisingly old crowd. Can't say why but I feel in a pinch for fast food you'll get better food and a nicer ambience then the Ballard brothers restaurant next door. read more

When I called the store numerous times (they would not answer the phone), I finally got someone who said there was nothing they could do and she hung up. I called back over and over and some time later got the same person. I asked to speak to the manager several times and she eventually told me she was the manager. I explained my situation and again, she said there was nothing she could do about it. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Many people are abrupt these days, and understandably! Frontline food service employees deserve five stars for any interaction that isn't flat out rude this year. However, Shane, who is often at the drive through window here, really goes above and beyond. Aside from his mask, he doesn't seem to even notice that there's a pandemic going on, much less the rest of this year's chaos. Every single time we order he is fast, accurate, and SO pleasant. My boyfriend and I now call this location Shane's instead of Wendy's, since while we want a burger and fries, we mostly just want to say hi to this awesome guy for a moment. Though Shane is the only specific person I know to call out, I appreciate everyone at Wendy's who makes our meals. The remodeled building is way nicer than the people that work in it. I have been a fan of Wendy's Double Stacks and fries since high school but just because I'm ordering through a window doesn't mean I don't expect a friendly staff. The two people I interacted with today both looked like they couldn't possibly hate their lives any more if they tried and spoke a combined five words to me. The supervisor at this store is incredibly rude to customers and staff. Im a delivery driver and I wanted to get a drink at the drive through and then come inside to pick up my order because I wouldn't have enough hands to hold my order and the 2 customer orders and he told me not to waste his time and just to come in for both since I would have to come in anyway. But I just wanted to get my drink in the drive through so I wouldn't have to make 2 trips in. He was shouting at the nice girl working there not to help me because I was being difficult. They also made me the doordash driver get the customer drink which as far as I know is illegal because I am not a food handler. So kudos for the remodel. It looks great with the new fireplace and sofas inside. Whats cool is the ladies in who work here still are super nice. It seems much cleaner as it looks like its way better taken care of vs the old facility. As for the food, they have added a new fish cod sandwich which is a nice other option instead of the old stand by single, double, triple they do. My only complaint is sometimes you get luke warm nuggets and fires still. And being in Seattle you get that sugar tax some companies chose to eat the tax and some pass it on. Of all of the fast food places I'm under the illusion that Wendy's has the least amount of genetically altered items. (I think it's because there's real lettuce on the burgers? ) So when I'm short on time and have to eat something before one of my man-boobies starts to deflate, I like Wendy's. Well...I should have known better, but I live in Ballard, I was hungry, and it was after one AM...what to do if you don't want to drive to a real restaurant downtown or in the International District? Actually, you could go to a grocery store which is open 24 hours...which is what I would do the next time or ANY time I might again be tempted to partake of this sort of (I use this phrase with reservations) fast "food." Seriously, folks, how can you eat this crap? I had what they called a chicken sadwich which was hard to chew and harder to swallow...and about the worst fries I've ever tasted. The "Caesar" Salad was just as bad...and infested with Baco Bits and clotted, nasty dressing. I did drink the ice tea...although it tasted like it might have been brewed a few days earlier. Please don't say that I would have done better ordering another menu item, or going to BK or MacDonald's or whatever other worthless excuse for fast food we might have in the neghborhood. We're taught not to compare apples with oranges. With that in mind, I'm going to review what I typically get at any fast-food burger joint: two plain double cheeseburgers, in Wendy's case, 2 double stacks w/cheese at 99 cents apiece. The immediate comparison would be McDonald's double cheeseburgers, either at 99 cents or maybe $1. McDonald's (at every single location) gives me a piping hot, juicy burger with lightly melted cheese and fresh hamburger buns, every single time without fail. Wendy's gives me artificially hot burgers (like the bun has been in a warmer all day). The bun is dried out and flavorless. The meat doesn't really taste like meat at all. The cheese doesn't even have the cajones for me to believe it's genuine American cheese. It's probably Ukrainian goat cheese that Wendy's got on sale at some kind of international swap meet. Bottom line: is no good. And if Wendy's can't compete on a signature item I'm inclined to believe it can't compete on the rest of its menu items. Mind you, I'm eating some lukewarm chicken tenders and they taste ai'aight. But I can purchase chicken tenders in bulk at my local grocery store. I came in here around 10 AM on 5/25 for a quick bite to eat. I walk in and I see a short Asian lady asking for someone to take here order. A staff pops out of the kitchen and he takes her order and disappears. The same staff comes back and looks at me like "Oh you need something." He takes my order and I pay cash. He slams my change and throws the bills on the counter....I just thought to myself "WTF...." I looked at his name badge and it says "Sallendra" and "Co-manager." He must really love his job. When I finally go in and ask what's up, they say my food is sitting on the counter and that they can't tell when it's a mobile order or a curbside. What a joke. They were out of tartar sauce for my fish sandwich once (which the woman apologized profusely, but I was still disappointed since I'd already paid) and the place really isn't kept as clean as it should be.
