The hostess was also the server who was patient, but also got busy after two more groups came and one other person that sat in the front by the door. Things took a while and the waitress doesn't really smile, but the food was great. We had asked if the crab and one of the appetizer dishes was real crab or imitation and she told me she didn't know. We asked if there was someone in the back who would know and she said no I don't think so. In the end, she went in the back and found out it was imitation crab, so that was helpful. Anyway, the place is decorated pretty cute. Very eclectic. We enjoyed ourselves and had good food so we were happy.

We escaped today from the flatlander norms of North County and ventured up a path (State Hwy 78) that we hadn't trekked for a number of years. I think this is the only town with a Bol Weevil hamburger joint. We initially sought after and found it. We just couldn't bring ourselves to having lunch there. Too many good spots up here in Ramona. Searching Yelp, we found this place and decided to try it based on the large menu. We had a couple of delicious sandwiches, but I could see as the plates came outta the kitchen, I should've ordered a burger. They really looked awesome, ; and quite the variety, vbut we were already elbows into our plates along with house-made offerings. We also had the excellent ranch dressing that was offered along with the good onion rings. There are plenty of things to look at inside and out, as there are very much a hodgepodge of collections over the years. This place will be our visiting spot next time. CritDicks

I ordered one kind of on a whim, and wow -- it totally exceeded my expectations. The crust was perfect, the sauce had that rich, homemade flavor, and the whole thing came together beautifully. It was a little smaller than I imagined, but honestly the taste made up for it completely. The place itself is small, super clean, and tucked away in a little strip mall -- kind of easy to miss if you don't know it's there. The staff isn't overly chatty, but you can tell they care about their work and run a tight, organized kitchen. The bright, casual vibe makes it an easy spot to sit down and enjoy your meal without any fuss. If you're in Ramona, SOFI's Pita is definitely worth a stop for lunch or a quick bite. Whether you go for the Mediterranean dishes or try the pizza (which I highly recommend), you'll leave happy. Hidden gem for sure!

Consistent, satisfying food with a wide menu that makes it easy to find something everyone is happy with. They have recently expanded into pizza alongside their pita, Greek, and Mediterranean offerings, which might raise an eyebrow at first, but hear me out: GYROS PIZZA!!! The Greek pizza was excellent... l loaded with gyro meat, red onion, and tzatziki - yum! My only personal preference would be having the tzatziki on the side for dipping, but it was still very good as served. I would love to see them continue leaning into this fusion idea. A chicken shawarma pizza or other Greek inspired combinations would be an easy yes. Based on past experience, they also seem open to customizing orders. The staff is friendly and easygoing, and the atmosphere is casual. We usually treat it as a takeout spot, but there is a steady stream of people dining in their simple, no frills dining room. The location right off Main Street makes it an easy stop with convenient parking and quick service. One additional note that may be helpful for others. My husband has celiac disease and has been able to enjoy several of the plates without issue. There is no dedicated gluten free menu, but with careful ordering and a quick conversation, they have been accommodating where possible. Reliable food, generous portions, and a menu that continues to grow in interesting ways. A great place to try Ns add to the rotation.

I'd say it rivals, or even beats, BBQ in Kansas City, Kansas. The menu is fairly large. I've tried a few selections, and none disappointed. My favorite is the Brisket; the pulled pork is also awesome. And get this: he has his own cornbread recipe, and it's over-the-moon, especially with their homemade butter honey- yes, it's real butter. It's hard to find because it's inside the liquor store, but it has its own designated area. Very warm and family-friendly. As a foodie, I highly recommend it.

Visually, it's a stunning cook--great muscle texture, a beautiful smoke ring, and a perfect bark. All the intense flavor and smoke live between the surface and that inner pink ring, so make sure your bite includes a bit of both. Man, what a delicious bite. I've been to that Michelin-recommended BBQ joint east of DTLA, and Pete's 100% blows it out of the water. This place makes California BBQ proud (that other spot is an embarrassment). I only wish they offered some zesty sides to pair with the meats to take it to the absolute next level! 1/3 lb Sausage: First bite delivers a perfect snap followed by great meat texture. Initially, you get hit with a slightly heavy saltiness, followed by a sharp, spicy goodness. I was on the fence after the very first bite, but the more you eat, the more the saltiness balances out. That snap, texture, spice, and salt combo just gets better and better until you realize you can't stop eating it. It is incredibly good. Pairing it with a creamy side perfectly complements the kick. Cornbread Upgrade: YES! The cornbread itself is delicious--excellent texture, great corn flavor, and a very mild sweetness. Plus, it comes with a honey butter blend that is next-level delicious. It was a very pleasant surprise just how good this was!

Let's be honest... is this the best Chinese food ever? Absolutely not. Is it the best Chinese food…read morein Ramona? I was going to say yes... but then remembered the Vietnamese and Thai places offer some Chinese dishes, so never mind XD. Is it even fair to call this Chinese food? Probably "no" to that too. But listen. It is tasty, it is consistent, it is fast, and it scratches a very specific itch. Let's also not pretend this is health food. It is greasy, it is heavy, and it is absolutely "eat your feelings" comfort food. You can mix and match a bunch of different entrées for a decent price, which is great when you want variety without committing to leftovers for days. Every once in a blue moon I give in to the craving and it delivers. Sure, I am filled with self-loathing and my stomach has opinions afterward, but while I am eating it there is pure happiness. This location is pretty convenient, especially with the drive through. Service is usually pretty fast, although I did have one experience where it took about 30 minutes, so now if it looks backed up I just go inside instead. Who cares. Everyone in there is eating Panda too, so nobody is judging. There is not a lot of variation between Panda locations, but this one is solid. Since it is basically the only Chinese food option for Ramona and the surrounding rural mountain areas, they move a ton of food, which means it is usually hot and fresh. When I have gone inside, the kitchen is hustling nonstop turning out tray after tray. You already know what Panda is. It is not gourmet, it is not fancy, but it hits the spot. They were much better than I get at most Chinese Restaurants. Very much worth trying. I'll be ordering these again. To go with the Jumbo Egg Rolls I ordered, The Chicken Teriyaki Bowl. It's loaded with tender chicken and veggies on a pile of white rice and drizzled with a tasty teriyaki sauce. Not the biggest bowl I've had but it definitely hit the spot. For a burger joint it's a quick tasty option for those times you just want something a little different. I'll be grabbing this combo again soon. Worth a try.
