In-N-Out (Poway, San Diego) is one of those places I end up going to every time I'm in California, and it still hits every time. I'm usually not big on cheese fries unless it's nacho cheese-style, but the animal fries here are on another level. The sauce and toppings actually work together instead of feeling heavy or overdone--it's one of the few versions I'll consistently go back for. The classic burger is just solid. Nothing overcomplicated, just fresh, simple, and done right. The patties are juicy, the veggies taste crisp, and the balance is what makes it work. Between the Mira Mesa location and the Poway location, this one has an easier drive through lane so sometimes I go out of my way to come to this one. It's also a great stop after getting gas at the Costco nearby. Can you believe In-N-Out is less expensive than other mainstream less-quality fast food burger places these days? Unbelievable! I hesitate to post this because this is a hidden In-N-Out. I never knew it existed. Everytime I've gone there, there were less than 5 cars in the drive thru. I only have a 30 min lunch break at my job and I can literally be 'in and out" and still have time to eat it and get back to work. And the prices are still very reasonable. read more

This location alone gets 5 stars just for the drive thru process. I live in Mira Mesa but the drive thru at that location is #%^!#! There's plenty of space for cars at this location and it also shares a huge parking lot with Kohls. 9x/10 they will have someone outside taking your order and the wait time is quick! I tried the grilled onion wrapped Flying Dutchman which was so good but I forgot to say I wanted it wrapped in lettuce. Next time for sure! I came the other night with a friend and everything was perfectly normal and routine until I got up to the first window to pay. I recently went to this in n out and was there with my husband and we went to order and the cashier named Kayley with pink hair was extremely rude and she was trying to flirt with my husband and even asked for his number and asked to meet after her shift was over. All the people that work there are really nice and the meatless Burger I get which is the cheeseburger minus the meat is delicious. Has lots of lettuce tomato onions raw or sauteed pickles and maybe other things I don't know about. Their sauce is delicious but you can have it or not have it they make it just the way you want it. And so affordable. They have protein style which is a hamburger or anything you get without the bun and they have Flying Dutchman which is gluten free. I swear it could be out in the middle of the desert in the middle of the night and there would be a line in both the drive through and inside. You can get up to four Pattie's if you're really hungry or do a lettuce wrap if you feel like skipping the processed carbohydrates such as the buns. So I haven't sat inside In and Out but on a well deserved day off I decided to treat myself. I have to I was not disappointed. Their customer service from ordering is top notch. But they had an amazing greeter, Demian, working the floor, cleaning tables and asking if there was anything he could get me! He was kind, friendly and priceless!
