#26 Bacon Ranch Chicken Cheese Steak
Justin C.

Had a great experience at Jersey Mike's. This location is nestled by the Holiday Inn in Sorrento Valley. There's plenty of parking. I ordered a Bacon Ranch Chicken Cheese Steak via a mobile order on the app. As soon as I walked in I was greeted warmly by a worker and I saw my mobile order ready on the shelf. I was pleased to see the packaging was neat and my sandwich bag was sealed securely with tamper proof tape. The shop was very clean and well maintained. The sandwich itself was warm, with crispy bread and cheesy delightful chicken. The mobile app ordering made things very convenient. This was a great quick meal when I'm craving a sandwich!

As you can tell from my check ins.. I love this place. Eat it way too much but it never gets old. Yummmm!! The lusk Location gets packed during Lunch Time but.. service is still good and fast.

The giant sub is twice this size but this is all I got.
MJ A.

I ordered for pick-up a Giant original Italian sub which feeds 4 people. To my dismay, when I got home and opened the sealed bag it was a regular size hoagie that didn't even have pepperoni or salami or the Mayo I had added on. So what did my $19 pay for? A sandwich half the size of what I wanted and didn't feed my family of 4 either. I called to try and rectify the situation and no answer. Never again will I come here and I don't care if they seal the bag, make sure to open it and check your order or get ripped off! See pics, the plastic knife is for size comparison. Disappointed is an understatement...if I could give zero stars I would!

Italian Sub

Stopped by the local Jersey Mikes while in town picked up the Italian Sub which is one of my favorites. This location was really clean and the gentleman working was really nice and you could tell he genuinely cares about his service just a pleasure to deal with and very courteous and friendly. If I'm ever in the area and am wanting a sub this will definitely be my spot to go.

Coming back to send my love to my favorite sub place…read more I've sadly moved to a different part of town so Fatboy's is no longer a few blocks away. I still try to stop by every few months as this place holds a special place in my heart. A no frills spot. Solid and consistent. To the point but friendly customer service. Fantastic drink, chip and snack selection. Sandwiches are always bomb asf. The hot momma and BLT loaded up is my favorite. My husband still loves their Ruben (it is his favorite place to get it.) You get a small potato or macaroni salad on the side with a pickle (perfect crunch.) I personally think it's a great little add on. Their chili is also simple but delicious. I personally think their chili pairs perfectly with any of their sandwiches. It's not a heavy thick chili. Which is why I think it pairs so well. I won't lie it's a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. It's loaded up and good quality. I never feel gross or overly bloated after eating here. I will be coming back to Fatboy's until I move out of San Diego or die. lol. One of my favorite gems in SD. Always will be worth the drive or walk. Thank you for always delivering even years later.

I used to frequent Fatboy's because it was close and convenient for a long time, but I am rarely able to visit anymore... parking is a bigger challenge every day in North Park, and finding even a 15-minute spot takes way longer than the drive for me now (but the walk is too far to pick up a quick meal). Today I was down the street for something else so decided to order a sandwich. I was excited, then my jaw dropped when I saw the price increases. It's $18 for the North Park Club now, with no extras. I already had a hard time justifying $15 for a sandwich but I'm officially, 100% priced out now. I know it's not necessarily on the business owners; rent is exorbitant in NP, profit margins are small in the food service industry, and operating costs are high. Our city is eating itself alive, but thank you for the years of sandwiches!

There is a few tables scattered throughout and don't be surprised if you can't find a seat, It's busy. This place is CASH ONLY!!!! The best part is the service. I'm not sure of her name but the nice lady at the register is what makes this place special. I bought my sandwiches to go and didn't expect any special treatment but she tells me to make myself at home and offers my son and I free drinks while we wait. I've seen her generosity in person! Some people forget that it's cash only, she either lets them pay next time, honor system or gives it away. Who's does that nowadays. Also, they are heavily involved in the local community, police, fire, Military, and Customs/Border Patrol. Highly recommended if you can get to them before they close for the day!!!!

Love The Marketplace…read more Pick a sandwich. Any one. They're all good. If you're a Reuben lover, you have to try one. Beyond delish! A variety of soups available, on a rotating schedule. They do sell out of some, though, so if you want some of the soup, you need to get here before dinner. Lunch availability for soups is generally best mid-morning to mid-day. Try the clam chowder. Yum with a capital Y-U-M. Chicken noodle is also excellent. Great beer selection in their refrigerated case. Look carefully, as you may miss something you really would like to try. Many local craft breweries available, but if you want the national brands, they have those too. Excellent service from the kitchen staff and the checkout staff. Be aware, though, this place does get really crowded at lunchtime, so you'll most likely have to wait in line to check out. Order your sandwich, go to pay and your sandwich will be ready before you know it. Chow down!

It was THAT good. The crust was perfectly crispy, the toppings were the perfect amount, and they were spread out so every bite had the right combination. And the flavor?! Oh my God. But here's what really got me: there was absolutely NO greasy, gooey mess. Nothing soggy, nothing weighed down with cheese or oil. That's what kept the crust so perfectly crisp all the way through. It was just really, really well-made pizza. And an 18-inch pizza was only $27, with HUGE slices. Seriously, what a deal. Ordering online was super easy, and it was ready in less than 30 minutes. We picked it up and basically couldn't stop talking about how good it was. Hands down, the best pizza we've had in this area. This one is going into the rotation. And at $27 for an 18-inch? I'm already thinking about when we're getting the next one.

This review is for the experience we had at the deli. If I could give negative stars, I would. It was our first time visiting, and we were unsure of the ordering process (if there were order slips or if we ordered at the counter etc.). When we went up to ask, we were laughed at by three guys who were working. The guy who ended up taking our order made a snide remark about how it's not that hard to order and we don't need to act stupid to get his attention. This was entirely off-putting, and yet we still ordered when we should have walked out then and there. We were taken aback by his remark and after ordering, he scoffed because one of them was vegetarian. He turned to his buddies and said "what's the point of going to a deli if you're not gonna order any meat!", loudly enough that we could hear. The service was god awful that we almost threw out the sandwiches, and honestly could've made a better one at home. Veggies tasted old, barely any cheese, avocado was nasty, and the turkey was way too salty. Won't be back.

This restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, with giant menus on the wall inside as well as a cooler case. You place your order, and then they bring it out to you. We decided to sit inside, so while I think the outside tables may have had fire pits, I can't actually confirm that. My daughter and I ended up getting there first, and she was hungry, so I ordered the Basic for her while I went with the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. Mine was described as roast chicken, Point Reyes blue cheese, Fresno chili hot sauce, red onion, carrot, cabbage, lettuce, garlic aioli, and ciabatta, while my daughter's was described as a fluffy three-egg patty topped with cheddar cheese on ciabatta. Service was pretty quick, and I think we had our food within about ten minutes of ordering. My daughter enjoyed the egg sandwich and almost completely finished it by herself, which is saying something. The cheese was melted nicely and had a good pull to it. Then my chicken sandwich ended up being pretty good as well. The chicken was tender, and the hot sauce was flavorful, albeit not as spicy as I was expecting from a Fresno chili hot sauce. I also enjoyed the slaw and aioli and thought the ciabatta was solid as well. My wife also enjoyed her sesame chicken salad here, especially the chicken, while my son ate some of his kids' grilled cheese. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Our food here was good, and I appreciated not only the fast-casual nature of the restaurant but the price as well.

We typically go to Iowa Farms since it's close to us and we're familiar with the location. We love getting the potato salad and bbq baked beans (prepackaged) sides there when we stop in, but if you're not early on the weekend, they usually run out. So we decided since we'd be in the Bay Park area, we'll check out the original location, Siesel's. Glad we did! I wanted to make a slow cooker brisket one weekend, so it was perfect. Siesel's is a bit larger than Iowa Farms and feels a bit more open. Same great cow awaiting outside the store. But they have a whole deli counter with all the sides plus more! They didn't have any ready made prepackaged bbq baked beans, it was better, made fresh daily and we were able to get as much as we wanted at the deli counter. They also have several different Siesel's signature potato salads and pasta salads that aren't offered prepackaged at Iowa farms, which I absolutely love! My favs are the Asiago pasta and deviled egg potato salad. We also decided to try their Tri-tip sandwich made to order at the deli and it was delicious! Fluffy bun piled high with Tri-tip covered in bbq sauce and have the option to add cheese and anything else. Love it! Staff is always very helpful. Parking lot can get full on the weekends, and they can run out of the pre-prepared meats in the front counter, but make sure to ask if there's any more in the back or they may be able to prepare some for you!
