I always want to try hidden gems, and well this is one of those places. At first look the name of the place suggest sandwiches, but upon looking at the pictures you will noticed it's much more than sandwiches. The day I arrived I was a bit confused on where to go and park. Come to find out there's parking spaces on the other side of where I was. Not knowing where it was exactly was obvious that there was a restaurant with the one table and chairs outside. Once we opened the door the place reminded me of a convenient store. Small with snacks in front. Seating is limited so most people came to pickup. The service was friendly and straight to the point. We ordered Spicy Tuna and Bibimbap. I was craving just something homemade and this really hit the spot. I was originally came here for the Spicy Tuna but changed my mind when I saw the Bibimbap on the handwritten menu board. Stumbled across this small deli in a business park and I'm glad I did! In the era of the $14 burrito, it was refreshing to get a delicious sandwich, side potato salad and a can soda for $11! This place is awesome because it has A LOT of variety. Many people came in for lunch during my visit, which means great business, especially considering that it's in a business park. It was never empty I needed time to look at the menu because it was a lot to take in. They have breakfast items, bowls like teriyaki, chili, and even poke bowls, sandwiches you can create, hot sandwiches, wraps, burgers, vegetarian options...lions, tigers and bears too But really it was hard for me to make a choice until the gentleman at the register pointed out a special they had - Chicken pesto sandwich with salad and can of soda for less than $8. My friend decided on the poke, which came with rice, cucumber, avocado and of course side of soy sauce The chicken pesto sandwich was so delicious!!! Perfect amount of pesto. And the bread... not sure what type it was but it was mmm mmm mmm good. The side salad was very simple My friend seemed to enjoy her poke as well! Didn't hear any complaints. She did point out that it wasn't necessarily put in a "bowl" but we just laughed about it. Wide variety of bottles and canned drinks as well as chips This place is simply good so don't come here expecting any decor or modern furniture... which could use improvement. This shop is in a secluded area in Miramar. They offer a wide variety of sandwiches. Prices are low and everything tastes good, but the meat portions are low. Service is very quick. This deli spot in located in a business industrial suite in the middle of an industrial park. Although this is a somewhat small deli spot with little to no advertisement, this deli spot appears very well known and the patrons are all addressed on a first-name basis, which tells me that their customer base is very loyal and must enjoy and appreciate their food. The inside is pretty spacious for being located in a business suite, and the kitchen area is pretty big. My husband and I were warmly greeted by the cashier, who is part of the same staff I mentioned earlier that greets everyone by their first names. My husband ordered the spicy tuna bowl and I ordered the Kim's burger wrap, which is pretty much a hamburger as a wrap. I tasted a bite of my husband's tuna bowl and the tuna tastes very fresh and the portion size is definitely worth paying $9.00 for as I feel we would have not received that same portion size for that price if I had visited one of the more famous poke bowl chains like Poke One n Half. Of course, the only difference between a chain poke restaurant and this deli is that you wouldn't have a choice of toppings, but it contains the basic ingredients (avocado, seaweed, cucumbers, carrots) which makes for a decent poke bowl. As far as the burger wrap, it's also a decent size and it comes with iceberg lettuce, onions, avocado, tomatoes, pickles, mayo, ketchup, and mustard and a side of sliced pepperoncinis. The ground beef was perfectly smooth (no chewy parts or ground-up bones) and it had the perfect flavoring. Another assuring observation I made is a customer who worked down the parking lot and came in to order a bulgogi bowl for himself and another individual. He received his order and took it back to his workplace. Then 15 minutes later, this same gentleman came back to order two more bulgogi bowls. Being that this place is so close to my husband's shop, I have the feeling I'll be visiting this place more often and trying more of their specials as well as their regular menu items. Also, this place is very reasonably priced, which is definitely a plus for me! Kim's Deli is a hidden gem (at least it was for me until today) that I was glad to have tried. read more

I've been here many times throughout the past couple of years (since I work nearby) and everytime they've always delivered great food. Their mainstay are sandwiches, in which there are a lot to choose from. I usually order the veggie delite or the Pilgrim (turkey + cranberry sauce = the classic Thanksgiving sandwich, anytime of the year!), although I have tried one or two of the others (I don't remember, since I usually order those two). The owner is always very friendly and cheerful, which makes it a joy to come in and order. The place is very clean, has plenty of tables, as well as outdoor seating. Prices are pretty cheap, and aside from sandwiches, there's also snacks (cookies, muffins, chips), salads, burgers (including a salmon one!), and drinks to choose from. I love Kim's Deli! It's a small family owned deli located in an office building area. Their spicy tuna bowl is my go-to (includes avo, carrot, cucumber, rice, nori and house made ponzu), but their beef bulgogi bowl is also really good. I haven't tried much else because I'm pretty much addicted to the spicy tuna bowl. Most of my coworkers eat here and I've never heard a complaint about anything on their menu. The staff is also super sweet, and you can tell they really care about their customers (during quarantine they've been extra cautious and friendly). I can't believe I've never heard about this place before! I found Kim's Deli on yelp this morning and after reading a few reviews and looking over the many Spicy tuna bowl pictures, I knew I had to get one for lunch. I was able to phone in and pick up a to-go order. The Spicy Tuna bowl consist of steamed rice (you have the option of brown rice), spicy tuna, shredded carrots, shredded cucumbers, half a sliced avocado, a few sprouts, a lemon wedge, seaweed bits (in a separate container), sriracha, and some type of sauce?? I'm not sure what but it has the appearance of diluted soy sauce (which it isn't). It is A LOT of food. I finished it but I probably could have done to share half of it with somebody. The cucumbers and carrots were fresh and crunchy, rice cooked just right, and tuna was great as well. It all tasted so good together. Although the tuna wasn't spicy at all. The sauce is what made it spicy!! Like, realllly spicy!! So I think this is a plate everyone can enjoy whether they like spicy foods or not. I think I've found my new lunch spot!! read more

It consists of the same things as the salmon bowl but with tuna instead of salmon. Egg Delight Chopped hard boiled eggs, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers on choice of bread. You might want to have a fork handy because the chopped eggs will fall out due to the generous amount of eggs packed in there. Sunrise Bagel Served only before 9am (or is it 10?). This was the first thing I've ever ordered from Kim's because my coworkers would get it all the time! Cream cheese (she puts a biig chunk in there), tomatoes, and bacon on choice of bagel. Quaint shop in the middle of nowhere near Sorrento Valley / Miramar. Get the spicy tuna bowl. Cheap, generous portions, fresh...and it tastes amazing!! It's not SPICY. It's flavorful. Their pesto chicken sandwich is also pretty good. To be honest, I haven't tried everything they make but judging by what I've tried so far, I have no bought everything tastes good. Holy Crap, Spicy Tuna Bowl! Yesterday I was super hungry and forgot to pack myself a lunch the night before. There are two delis within 500 ft on each side of me. I am not very impressed with either one, so I decided to look on yelp and found Kim's. After seeing some pictures and reviews, I walked my happy ass over there to try what seemed like the talk of the town: the spicy tuna bowl. My god, this was the best thing I've had in a while. The tuna had the perfect texture and the perfect amount of spiciness and was served with julienned carrots and cucumbers, avocado, rice and a side of soy sauce. Every bite was just heaven.
