I happened to be in Poway so we stopped for a quick meal, I ordered some nachos with extra cheese, extra meat, added tomatoes and jalapeños. They were really skimpy with the tomatoes. I only found three or four pieces, which is kind of unusual. Of course I ordered using the application so I could get points for some free food. But three stars today for missing out on my tomatoes. The jalapeños were especially spicy today, sometimes they're really spicy sometimes they're not, so if that bothers you watch out.. The service was a little slow, and the music is a lot louder than it should be. It almost sounded like there should be a party going on here. Slightly irritating, but not terrible. read more

The food here is pretty standard and the establishment is clean. The staff was not the friendliest and the wait for food was very long. We had a 15+ minute wait for a Catalina chicken bowl and 3 bean burritos. Not the best wait or customer service. I will choose a friendlier more responsive staff and quicker food prep times for my next Taco Bell fix. read more

It's more of a miss with these guys nowadays, the prices have gone up and the food quality and quantity have gone done. Maybe it was an off day I say to myself but then it happens again, the burritos seem even smaller now and the portions are too. I am a retired carpenter of 20 years and have been an Uber driver the past 6. I frequently go to fast food restaurants and today went to the poway taco bell. Worst experience ever. Person in front made several seperate orders and took a long time. I ordered a taco and burrito cravings pack and the burritos were horrible. Whoever is cooking burnt the tortillas and then instead of the burnt part being on the outside the cook knrlew what they did and put all the burnt parts of all 4 burritos on the inside. Went to the restaurant about 4pm. It was quite because not dinner time rush yet. This is definitely not fast food, not fast at all. There was no one at the counter to take order. No big deal. Worst service I have ever had at Taco Bell. Waited 20 minutes. Just for someone to come in after me and get their order.

Last night made an order on TacoBell App and paid with CC. When my GF tried picked up the order they said the have no mobile order and wait 5-10 mins. After she show them my online banking with a pending charge from tacobell they just made her a combo meal for $9.99 not even our correct order. This used to be my favorite Taco Bell and my family and I would frequently stop by since we live less than a mile away. Something has seriously changed. The last few times we have ordered, every single item was either missing ingredients or missing entirely. The last straw happened this evening when I ordered a vegetarian menu item (with no modifications) and received the beef version. I confirmed the order on the receipt but didn't realize it was beef until I had already eaten a few bites.... I have a health condition that makes consumption of red meat very very uncomfortable. I visited the drive-thru at around 11am. I ordered a mexican pizza and chips w nacho cheese. I was greeted by a friendly cashier when ordering. I was just really upset when I realized I had used over half my lunch hour waiting in line. I'm not sure if they were short-staffed but there 3 people in front of me and I used 45 minutes of an hour lunch break just waiting in line. When I got to pick-up, the lady gave me a senior discount for waiting( $1 off my order). I enjoyed my food and have no complaints about it. They just definitely need to work on efficiency. read more

Let me start my review off by saying I managed a taco bell for 7 years. I understand what it's like when the store is short staff but that's not an excuse for poor time management and poor customer service. what they did is they take your order and then make you sit at the first window while the cashier takes your card and runs it at the second window , grabs your food and runs back to the first window but a huge congestion into the line and making the customers wait. they do this because each lunch and dinner they have a certain amount of time from the moment the take your order to the moment you leave second window. there are only "timers" on the drive thru menu and on the second window to determine hos long it took to take the order and how long it took to make order from the point it was taken. they don't have cars stop at the second "window". not because they are short staffed, it's because they are not making time . after i spent my whole lunch in line i left without my drink or receipt. When i went in the store to retrieve my missing items no human to greet me, just kiosk. i had to ask someone to stop cooking food to give me my drink because Juan the employee in drive thru was clearly struggling. when i spoke to Juan in the drive through window bout my disappointment in the drive thru time he just said " i only work here" well Juan you are not doing a good job. When i called to speak to store manager Sara, she approached me with the same attitude and pretty much said " I just work here" Id never treat a customer like that and Id do my best to resolve the issue. I love taco bell a reason why i worked there for 7 years straight and worked my way up from cashier to manager. when i asked sara for district managers phone number she did not have it. and since i don't have my receipt to call 1-800 number and leave review directly on taco bell site id thought its tru here to get someone higher up then sara. Had a digital gift card for taco bell. Went through the whole hassle of downloading the app and creating an account. Went to place an order and had to add a card to the account, but no keypad shows up in the app to enter the card info. So I logged into the account on the computer and added the card. Then back to the app to place the order. Gift card and credit card for the balance. Hit submit "uh oh there was a problem". Can't get past that. Then check on the computer and find the balance of the gift card got drained with the unsuccessful order attempt. **** you Taco Bell! read more

Visited 9/30/2016 Wow What can I say. It's a Taco Bell. They all use the same food cooked the same. Way. The thing that makes this place a little different is Great Service. They were all smiles and working together to keep things moving along. There were several cleaning the seating area and when someone would leave they were right there wiping down the tables. I've been to dozens of other stores over the years and this one stands head above heels over the others. That being said. I gave them 4 Stars not because the food was spectacular but because of a combination of cleanliness, great service, and the Tacos were just as good as when I was a kid. Taco Bell Labs took the legendary California Burrito and concocted a grotesque knock off..The Cheesy Potato Burrito. Nacho Cheese Sauce + Sour Cream + Fried potato cubes + Beef*.. *The beef was a bit of a surprise as I thought this was going to be a veggie burrito. The name made no indication of meat. Heartburn aside, this burrito was pretty tasty even though it was probably more processed than a 5 pound brick of Velveeta. The Verdict - More "New Jersey" than "California" Burrito. read more

I went to this taco bell on Poway Road. If I could give this rating a zero I would. I just finished throwing up the food I had there a Mexican Pizza, and 2 tacos. It took only 10 minutes after eating eat it I had to run to the bathroom. I'm not sure if it's food poisoning or the contaminated water problems that Poway are experiencing. Supposedly, the water is now drinkable. Due to me getting sick today, I will no longer eat in Poway or drink the water. Customers beware and eat at your own risk. read more

Taco Bell is fairly not complicated and a well-known Mexican (although Americanized) fast food restaurant. If you haven't been, then you're missing out. I personally like the Fire sauce on top of my food. I often order the seven layer burrito. During the afternoon, I like to take advantage of their $1 special on medium drinks. In general I'm not completely certain the hours that are online or on their door reflect the hours the inside is open. There was a time I was there and they closed the inside at 10 PM. But they also have a drive thru which is available even later. I once came here for breakfast and the computer wasn't working. I bought two things to bring home. One for me and one for a friend. They ended up mislabeling the orders and we both ended up eating the other persons order. Oh well, it happens from time to time. read more

You know, I went to Taco Bell for lunch today and I left thinking to myself "you know, you and the Poway Taco Bell have a long and storied history together." I remember back in 2005 when I scraped my Camaro entering the driveway, and then it hit me that I've been coming to this same Taco Bell for over 14 years. That's longer than I've known a lot of my friends. That's longer than I've known my wife! I will probably always consider the Poway Taco Bell to be my home Taco Bell. They're centrally-located right on Poway Road, their staff is always friendly and most importantly - they very rarely ever get my order wrong. This is important because let's be real, we're not eating foie gras or beef Wellington. It's "America's Favorite Mexican Food" slapped together by an ex-con or high school student (or both?), and as long as the majority of ingredients are in the same vicinity of the box, you're golden. So not screwing up the order is the yardstick by which I judge my fast food. Please don't mistake this for condescension, there is a very specific time and place where Taco Bell is exactly what I want and the Poway Taco Bell never ever fails to deliver on that. I have never had a problem with the food or service or anything here. My only complaint for this place is that it is TERRIBLE trying to use the drive through. Nothing they can do about the wonky curvy shape that I always feel like I am going to run into the curve, but they have some bushes right at the end of the drive through that make it impossible to see oncoming traffic. And since it is somewhat on a hill, in order to get out you have to say a quick prayer, punch the gas to get up the hill, slam on the brakes so you don't go too far into traffic, inch forward to make sure you aren't about to be side swiped and then you can drive home to eat your tacos. Please remove the bushes, a trip for delicious tacos should not be a near-death experience! I am fine with your tacos being my last meal, but I'd like to live long enough to eat them! read more
