Was in the mood for a simple bean and cheese burrito. This place is just down the street from where I live and it was my first time stopping in. They have a nice list of food and idrink offerings and have happy hour prices every morning for breakfast. Just check their white board at the drive thru. Service was great and the burrito was so big I had to cut it in half and ate the leftover the next day. It was a great value for the price. I'll be back to try more. Unassuming taco shop a bit hidden. It almost looks closed when you drive by. The drive through is actually easy to access. They have a white board with special listed and a regular menu board. Ordered a bacon, ham, potato, egg and cheese burrito. Super easy to order and the speaker was crystal clear. Super friendly and fast. Waited less than 5 minutes at the window and the burrito was pipping hot. Good flavored, maybe a little too much ham? but is that really a problem? Asked for green salsa-it wasn't overly spicy. Best of all, good value for the money. Gone are the days of a 5 dollar burrito but I'm excited when I pay less than 10.00. Hands down, this place currently has the best breakfast burrito in Poway. I normally get the California breakfast burrito special for $4.99, but I highly recommend adding hash browns instead of potatoes for $0.50 more for a complete breakfast. Portion is generous and the flavor is on point. Great salsa verde as well. I've been getting a breakfast burrito every week from this place and the taste and portion have been consistently great. I moved to the Poway area about 4 months ago and decided to try the California burrito from every Mexican restaurant in the area. After some mixed experiences I tried this place and I had the best California burrito of my life! Best burrito of my life for that matter. I waited to try multiple times and after 4 consistently great visits I had to post this. Not only do the put Guacamole and Sour cream on which I love, but the meat was so flavorful it was amazing. And they didn't skimp on meat like some others. Even if you have a favorite go to place, do yourself a favor and try this at least once. You won't be disappointed. I've had the rolled tacos as well and they were crispy and delicious. As a result I have narrowed down my fast food budget to In-n-out and Salsa Mexican going forward. Under $11 so good value as well. Good service too which is a plus as well. read more

Not a good experience I ordered 3 rolled potato tacos the tortillas and guacamole were not fresh and there was no flavor very bland tasting. The food was thrown together the rice was on too of the beans. On Yelp it says you get 1 free churro with a check in, I kept trying to do it and it wouldn't work. The 1st lady told me in order for them to honor it I had to give them a good review before I had even gotten my food, I should've known then. This was my 1st and last time here.
