I have never had a problem with the food or service or anything here. My only complaint for this place is that it is TERRIBLE trying to use the drive through. Nothing they can do about the wonky curvy shape that I always feel like I am going to run into the curve, but they have some bushes right at the end of the drive through that make it impossible to see oncoming traffic. And since it is somewhat on a hill, in order to get out you have to say a quick prayer, punch the gas to get up the hill, slam on the brakes so you don't go too far into traffic, inch forward to make sure you aren't about to be side swiped and then you can drive home to eat your tacos. Please remove the bushes, a trip for delicious tacos should not be a near-death experience! I am fine with your tacos being my last meal, but I'd like to live long enough to eat them! read more

Ha ha guilty pleasure day with my sweet coworker Thursday 05/12/2016. In Austin, Hubbs ordered something from Taco Bell... Mind you I don't eat there... but it smelled delicious and he let me have a bite. I really liked it... so every once in a while like every six months... I get one. Get what? The ENCHIRITO... We have ordered delivery from Taco Bell in Poway numerous times during the past year via GrubHub, but no more. Every single time at least one item is missing from our family dinner. We do get a refund from GrubHub, but it does no good at mealtime -- we'd rather have what we ordered than the $$. Confusing hours I have driven thru a couple times before 1am during weekdays and I was surprise that it was closed. The second time I drove through, I noticed a male employee in the store so I called.,voice mail picked up-it was 1235am. Before my message could finished, this employee picked up/intercepted my phone call. I asked him why the restaurant was closed early. He stated that it's not closed early! It's closed on time. I was shocked! I told him that this is not the first time but the second time I experienced this! So I told him that I am going to voice out this concern to corporate or his managers. He told me to go ahead because the schedule has been changed and posted. I like Taco Bell...Usually. There are exceptions and this is one. On the plus side: the A.C. works. The food came out quickly. Other than that.... My companion ordered a taco salad. It looked ok and he said the meat was good. (Beef). He was too full to eat the tortilla shell, and encouraged me to eat it. I tried it: it was not fresh and had no flavor. Bleagh. I ordered the chalupa which usually consists of a decadent, thick, fried tortilla-type thing (kinda like a deep fried sope) with the usual taco fillings including sour cream, beef, lettuce, cheese, etc. This chalupa tortilla was hard and tasted like it had been sitting around for a while. Ugh. There's not much that can go wrong with taco bell food when it's made correctly. It's usually a consistent, decent, reliable meal. Probably the one major thing that can go wrong is stale tortillas. You are forewarned. read more

Came here for breakfast (at about 9:30am) to try the new Biscuit Taco. I'm pretty sure there was only one person working there. The girl who took our order and money also made the food, so it took a while, but she was nice. Also ordered a skillet burrito and an order of Cinnabon Delights in addition to a jalepeno honey chicken biscuit taco. The biscuit taco was pretty awful-- the chicken and honey were weird and the whole thing was really dry. Not sure if it is supposed to be like that or if it's just this particular restaurant. The skillet burrito was pretty good. The cinnabon delights were overcooked, but still edible. Overall, I would avoid the biscuit taco, but otherwise, this isnt a bad place to eat. read more

So i went through this taco bells drive thru last night and ordered 2 cheesy potato grillers and a 4 pack of the cinnabon delights. I was given 2 half cheesy potato and half sour cream potato grillers and a 12 pack of the cinnabon delights. The Poway location is always clean with good service.. The wait in the drive thru is always a couple minutes even if its not busy but honestly I am ok with that it just means the food is being cooked right after your order... I really only order the hard shell tacos from here but each time they have been very tasty and full of lettuce and cheese. This Taco Bell is the worst Taco Bell ever, I ordered 8 crunchy supreme wrap on January 31/2020 around 7:00pm, I ask for chicken instead of beef in all of them and thEy charge me for it, I got home while me and my family we noticed, there are no chicken.. But we already eating.. Today I called them, and she said first if you have the receipt, then a picture, and I didn't have any( which my fault)) I told her I have credit card transaction, she was like I asked the staff and they did have everything including chicken..So I decided to go and check with the staff, I asked for management and the same girl over the phone came up and she was lying to my face that manager just left and then she was like oh I talk to her over the phone( FYI the Taco Bell is just minutes away from my house) then I asked if the staff you mentioned remembered me, she said yes and I looked and non of the staff from last night working.. Well, it's Taco Bell. Mild 'Mexican' food. This location always feels clean, the employees are nice, and the food is very Taco Bell average. Tonight, we stopped in and along with some tacos and a quesadilla, I thought the new French Fry item looked good. Boy was I wrong. I didn't think serving decent fries was rocket science but Taco Bell sure made the hamburger places look like geniuses!! The fries are not at all spicy like they appear (why would I have been fooled by a picture, this is Taco Bell after all). And, tonight, the fries weren't hot...or warm..they were almost 'warm-ish'. A friend and I went to the Poway location Taco Bell around 1030 with a bit of a line. It took us 30 minutes to get up to the payment window. When we did the service was still poor. The cashier had no personality and neither did the girl with tattoos who gave us our food. She handed our food to us more like threw it, and said "remind me to never work Saturdays again". Very rude. Also the food was very messily put together, hardly any meat in the tacos and extras like sour cream that had been paid for were forgotten, also the steak was extremely fatty... it looked like it had just been thrown together without any care of presentation. It's Taco Bell so I wasn't expecting a 5 star 3 meal course but for how expensive it's getting quality has declined greatly. Won't be going to the Poway location anymore. read more

So this is twice in a row now this sorry excuse for a restaurant has screwed up my order when trying to get dinner for the family. This time... they forgot to put my meal in the bag. When I got to my car I discovered this and I went back in, only to be told by the manager(?) that she was sure she put it in the bag. I jokingly invited the kid behind the counter to my car to search it... and he actually f*ing did. Upon going back inside with him, the manager(?) then said "no. I've always been to this Taco Bell since it's the closest to me and I love me some Taco Bell. The latest remodel is really nice and makes it look more like a dine-in restaurant than a fast food restaurant. Staff are always friendly. I don't think I've come here and got bad service. The only thing is, some of the employees don't like to give too much of the sauce when you go drive thru. I smother everything in sauce so I usually come inside and order to go so I can grab my own sauce unless I'm feeling lazy. The food always is delicious. My favorites to order are cheesy fiesta potatoes, the side nachos (the cheese is bomb when you mix in two or three of the mild sauce packets in), the crunch wrap and the cheesy gordita crunch. I'm pretty much a huge fan of cheese. And cheap food. I can't recall my order ever being wrong and sometimes the staff goes an extra mile to accommodate you. If you are sitting in, some will bring your food to you and then check in on you halfway through your meal. That is amazing customer service especially when they're doing what waiters in restaurants do for tips. read more
