Overall very delicious and the workers move quick, fish tasted fresh. Overall I paid 32.30$ which is fairly priced for how big their servings are

Came in for lunch wasn't sure exactly what to expect. They had some ceviche I was very interested in but when I saw tuna belly, my decision had been made for me. They offer the plate with two sides, I doubled up on rice. The tuna belly was cooked extremely well, and the flavor was amazing. I don't have much to comment on the service as they mostly stay behind counter and there was little to no interaction with the staff. But the gentleman who took my order was friendly and greeted everyone both on the way in and out.

Yes! Best poke in San Diego bar none. Been here many times and have bought many, many pounds of poke. My personal faves are the limu and shoyu ahi. Delicious! Walk, don't run, to HFS!

Such a nice treat for lunch during work. I had the avocado salmon and shoyu ahi, and it was delicious. They do a great job of having a balanced dressing so that you can still taste the fresh and fatty fish. The service is always good and so consistent. I think the only hard part is the funky shape of the store, so standing in line can feel a bit awkward, but what can you do. They have a few nice shaded picnic tables outside that remind me of the first location in Mira Mesa, and it's a great place to share a meal with friends, or coworkers, or friend-coworkers haha.

If you want fresh and tasty Poke, Hawaiian Fresh Seafood is the place. They have many variety of poke to choose from and they are all very good. They sell the Poke by the pound or by the bowl size. We came on a Tuesday so I had to try their Taco Tuesday special ($5 each). They were freshly made with a very unique but tasty Harissa sauce. My wife had a bowl of Cilantro Mayo Poke and it was delicious too. The staff was very friendly and efficient. They made our order quickly and the fish in my tacos was nice and hot (temp-wise). We are glad that they opened the 2nd location in Poway.

I come to San Diego a lot and HFS is a non-negotiable for me -- I have to get poke while I'm here. The garlic salmon and miso salmon (!!) have remained my favorites, but I love ahi to mix it up a little bit. Their plate is the perfect amount for me and one other person to share, even when we do half rice half salad. We placed an order through the phone because they do 10% off on Thursdays if you do takeout. We got there around 12:45 on Thursday afternoon for lunch, and it wasn't too busy. They made our order fresh when we got there, but there were definitely other customers coming to pick up their orders as well. HFS has always been fast with service even with lines out the door (@ Liberty Station) so I wasn't expecting anything less.

Yummy Hawaii style poke! The fish is very fresh and flavorful. Love the shoyu and their spicy based salmon!!! Definitely returning to try other flavors

Fish lovers... this place is special. What it isn't: It's not your typical San Diego "Subway-style" poke bar with a billion toppings, sugary sauces, and gimmicks to hide mediocre fish. What it is: Pure, insanely fresh, high-quality seafood mixed with just enough flavor to highlight the fish -- not drown it. Simple, intentional, respectful of the ingredients, and served over rice or salad the way good poke should be. I had the bluefin tuna and the Kīlauea salmon and both were outstanding... buttery, clean, flavorful, and clearly fresh. Portions are generous too. The medium bowl handled both my early lunch and my afternoon snack... and I eat a lot, so that's saying something. It's order-at-the-counter, pay, and pick up - which I actually appreciate because it keeps everything quick and efficient. The dining area is cozy and no-frills, leaning a bit more toward takeout vibes, but still totally comfortable for sitting down and enjoying lunch with friends. No nonsense, no fluff, no hiding behind toppings. Just phenomenal seafood done right. I'll absolutely be back.

The Ahi poke Pearl Harbor had many pieces with inedible fibers (see photo). The same poke had almost no dressing / seasoning, which isn't what I bought. I took the order to go, so didn't discover these issues until I got home. I have eaten here many times in the past, and the poke was great. If this were my only experience with them, this would have been a 1 star restaurant.

The taste of Hawaii I was craving minus the cost of a round trip flight. Excellent service, clean spot and an island relaxed vibe with simple decor that makes you think you've escaped to paradise. Their food is delicious and their potions are huge. I wouldn't hesitate to drop in again soon. Rain or shine, it's worth the drive and the effort to walk in.

    Huge poke plate

Fresh Hawaiian poke and Hawaiian plates are available here. Wow! The marinated poke is incredibly fresh. A couple can share one huge plate which has Mac salad, rice, salad and 3 big scoops of your favorite poke. Small bowls are available also. The Hawaiian style garlic shrimp was fantastic just like the famous shrimp trucks near the north shore of Oahu. Tons of butter and garlic on the shrimp and rice. The clean and warm restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I want to call this place Poipu in Poway! The food will bring you back to the islands. A must try!!!

Love this new location of Hawaiian Fresh Seafood in Poway. It's centrally located (central in Poway) and convenient. There is ample seating both inside and outside on the patio. The staff welcomed us in as soon as we walked through the door. We had a few food allergies so they were able to answer our questions about certain ingredients. We ordered the Shoyu and the Garlic Salmon and some white rice. All delicious. We sat inside and enjoyed the upbeat music playing over the speakers. Parking was plentiful as it is located in a big shopping plaza. The only thing to be mindful of is the Starbucks drive-thru line.

As I go to the Mira Mesa location once a week, I was ecstatic to hear that they opened a location in Poway. Unfortunately, this location is not to compare to the original and I would avoid coming here until they are more consistent with their quality and portions. Food 3/5: I got my go to poke nachos with garlic salmon and this is the first time that I experienced my wonton chips being way too overcooked. For my boyfriend, I got a medium bowl that I brought home to him and the first thing he noticed was the lack of fish they put in his bowl. My friend that I had come with got a bowl as well and was complaining about the same thing. Service & Ambiance: I do like how you get to see them make your food and how it is displayed unlike the Mira Mesa location and I was able to ask for extra sauce on my nachos. There is limited seating inside but a few tables outside as well. The workers are pretty nice as well.

When we walked in, the staff were so friendly and went over the specials and also let us know what they didn't have for that morning. (Thankfully everything I was planning to order they had all of it)! Drinks: Calamasi Refresher The nice staff member recommended this drink and it was the perfect pairing with our breakfast. I usually stick with drinking water but this was a really good pick! 5/5 Appetizers: Pork lumpia: 5/5, of course we had to get this! Combo plates: Longsilog bowls ~ which came with garlic rice, fried egg, scoop of Mac and cheese. It was super filling and I thought it was never ending witu the amount of longsilog they gave. This dish paired well with their spice vinegar. There were literally no crumbs left. I always love supporting family owned restaurants. Filipino food is my top favorite foods. LUMPIAS: Tried both the pork and beef lumpias and while both were good, we all liked the pork ones more since they just had more of a kick to them. Perfectly fried and crispy! BREAKFAST MUSUBI: We wanted to try this and see how well the hashbrown went with the musubi. It was decent but don't think it's something I would get again. It was a bit hard to eat as the whole thing fell apart quickly so we ended up picking at it like a salad. SISIG COMBO PLATE: I was able to get half half garlic fried rice and pancit for my carbs. Nice, crispy pork belly cut into the perfect bite sized pieces. Loved the mango serrano salsa! UBE CHEESECAKE: I wanted the minis but they were out at the time, so I ended up getting the full sized one. It's still not too big so perfect for 1-2 people. Good flavor and not overly sweet! Overall, great Filipino food although pricey for what it is; I got a bit of sticker shock when my total showed up. It's also a bit out of the way, but I'd definitely return to try other menu items if I'm ever passing though the area again. Definitely just a once in a while visit for me anyways because of the cost.
