We arrived about 12:45 in the afternoon for some lunchtime sushi. We haven't been to this sushi restaurant before, so it was nice to see an area outside of the restaurant. We decided to sit outside since it was such a nice day. There were not very many people while we were there so it was nice and the person who took our order came and went often enough to not be a bother but was attentive. The sushi we ordered was good, the miso soup was better than average. Overall, an above average experience. Three people, $100 which included the tip. A little bit on the expensive side, but not too bad given today's costs.

Solid sushi spot in Poway. VIBE: Simple and sleek inside. Can get pretty busy even on weekdays; it's a popular neighborhood restaurant. FOOD: Good. While I prefer other sushi spots for the speciality rolls and sashimi, I do enjoy their more basic options (edamame, crunch roll, etc). I particularly like the Jaimpeno appetizer! SERVICE: A little hit or miss. I've had both quick and attentive service and painfully slow service. Sometimes a friendly and sometimes a not so friendly host.

One of my favorite Happy Hour specials at Sushi Lounge Poway is their "Crispy Rice"! Four portions of fried rice, served nigiri style, crowned with spicy albacore, beautiful avocado slices, jalapeño and a yuzu truffle jalapeño vinaigrette. I just love all the contrasting textures and flavors going on with this one. Pairs perfectly with a nice, crisp draft Asahi beer. Sushi Lounge Poway is a great place featuring a stylish decor and warm lounge-like atmosphere. The service is always hospitable with a relaxed, friendly vibe.

Came mid day on a Monday. Maybe 2 other tables in the restaurant. Multiple employees running around. The servers were incredibly nice and helpful. I wish I got the name of the male server bc he was just great. Beyond that the sushi was good- nothing amazing. The garlic edamame had a weird flavor to it- cinnamon maybe? While the servers were so kind, everything was slightly slow to come out which was strange considering how many working vs. how many ordering. Probably not my go to in this area but not opposed to returning.

This is our favorite place to enjoy a sushi date. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The rolls are sooo delicious and they have yummy cocktails. Miss the Serrano sojurita!! They need to bring it back. Never disappoints!!

We are here yea we did.... I don't leave bad reviews... so LETS TALK ABOUT THE GOODS..... We Love Garlic Edamamei!! It's the perfect appetizer I wish every restaurant including Steak Houses would just have it on the menu. It's a no brainer for me when I arrive at a sushi spot. What I love most about edamame is seeing all the different ways a chief can prepare it! And this guys did something new and interesting to there's , they added cinnamon! Yes who would have thought! When I was eating it it was really good had that slat sweet taste and I could figure out if it was me or not , so I had to ask the chief and to my surprise! Never under estimate the power of good edamame!!!

This is just a public service message that your should NOT get the "Ring of Fire" specialty roll. My goodness what a trainwreck of a creation that really took the name to heart. The photo on the website is nothing like what was served with huge globs of sauce on top. It was so gross. I have to pick off the entire top plus the fried serrano inside once I realized this was just way too much combined spicy things. I should have known better / known what I was getting into but I've never experienced something this out of whack. I wish they had photos on their hard copy menus as I've seen elsewhere...I guess I should have gone to the website but even then I wouldnt have been prepared for this particular item. The only hot tea they have is green tea, which was a bummer since I wanted hot uncaffeinated tea for the evening. Most places have jasmine. I'm a little bummed because I know see they have a pretty promising roll of the month that has been my favorite at other places: It's Complicated Roll photo It's Complicated Roll $18.00 Our February Roll the Month! Spicy scallop, cajun grilled shrimp, cucumber inside, with tuna, thin lemon slice, avocado, fried onions, ponzu, yuzu kosho aioli Something about a thin slice of lemon on a roll that makes it amazing. I suggest making this a permanent roll, and perhaps I can give the place another try when I am visiting my friend in Poway.

We relished a lovely meal and arrived right before happy hour concluded, a wonderful surprise. We started with Blonde Ales and Miso Soup. We savored four rolls, including Albacore Special, Chronic Roll, Jaimepeno and Comomo. Rolls were pleasing, not extraordinary. Albacore Special ranked highest in our estimation.

Cute sushi spot near Phil's bbq…read more Very warm and inviting inside and I like all the booths and how spaced out they are even in the center of the restaurant. There's a lot of businesses around this area so I can see Sushi Kami being a popular spot for a go-to lunch outside of work. We came for dinner and got seated right away and it wasn't too busy at all. It was nice but still casual at the same time if that makes sense. I will say the parking was a little tight and we had to make a bit of an awkward U-turn to get to the restaurant but the lot wasn't that full so it wasn't too bad but I could see this being trickier in the daytime. I really enjoyed both the spicy tuna and salmon. I've had a lot of weird spicy tuna but this one hit just right. It's always hard to find that perfect balance between fish and spice but I really enjoyed this one. The salmon was good too. The standout was definitely the tempura we got as well. It was large and came out hot and crispy and perfect. This is the type of sushi restaurant I could take people to who don't necessarily like sushi all that much. There's lots of options on the menu including bulgogi (next time I shall try!) and really good combos for people to enjoy. Ambiance is chill but still has that fun sushi vibe with the displays of fish (and I even saw some creative fish decorating on the walls which I thought was a nice touch) Service was nice and they always refilled our waters without us having to ask. I enjoyed the food and the vibe! Would definitely come back to try more ...and brings others along too!

When we walked in, the staff were so friendly and went over the specials and also let us know what they didn't have for that morning. It was a bit hard to eat as the whole thing fell apart quickly so we ended up picking at it like a salad. SISIG COMBO PLATE: I was able to get half half garlic fried rice and pancit for my carbs. Nice, crispy pork belly cut into the perfect bite sized pieces. Loved the mango serrano salsa! UBE CHEESECAKE: I wanted the minis but they were out at the time, so I ended up getting the full sized one. It's still not too big so perfect for 1-2 people. Good flavor and not overly sweet! Overall, great Filipino food although pricey for what it is; I got a bit of sticker shock when my total showed up. It's also a bit out of the way, but I'd definitely return to try other menu items if I'm ever passing though the area again. Definitely just a once in a while visit for me anyways because of the cost.
