POKE & CHIPS, PORTOBELLO "FRIES", COMBO BOX CATCH OF THE DAY PLATE. Loved everything- portobello fries is a must every time

Took my folks here for lunch. Clean establishment, welcoming staff, fresh flavorful food that's executed well and healthy drink options. We'll be back

Fish District is conveniently located in the heart of Carmel Mountain in the same plaza surrounded by In N Out, Costco, and Home Depot. Parking is plentiful and easy. I was excited to try their catch of the day plate. Plates come with a seafood option and two sides. I ordered the salmon catch of the day along with rice and asparagus. The presentation was on point. Salmon was juicy, and flavorful with nice char flavor from the grill without being overwhelming. The asparagus was executed beautifully, well seasoned and not overcooked. For $17.50 the portion size was a touch small for the price but it did satisfy my craving. Drinks and condiments are self-serve and they bring the food out to you. I would definitely come back for their catch of the day plate.

I enjoyed the combo box ($17.50) which came with one piece of deep fried cod, three deep fried shrimp, fries, and three different sauces on the side (caper sauce, house-made sriracha, and cocktail sauce). Everything was crispy and delicious. I would have liked one more piece of cod, and would have given up two shrimps for that! The catch of the day plate is a great deal ($18.50). It's served with two sides and grilled ciabatta bread. We chose the salmon with rice and asparagus. The salmon was cooked perfectly and was quite juicy. One of my friends got the blackened ahi bowl ($15) which comes with blackened seared ahi tuna, rice, lettuce-cabbage mix, and tomato. It was pretty tasty but a smaller portion. Another friend got the poké bowl ($15.50) with salmon, nori, seaweed salad, cucumber, ginger, and sesame seeds. She liked it, but also felt it was a small portion. In terms of ordering, you can order at the counter or order through your phone. My friends ordered through their phone, while we ordered at the counter. They actually got their food first. I like how there is a lot of parking, and that it's easy to get a table inside. This restaurant is a good option when you are craving seafood, and you want to be seated right away.

You can tell everything was made to order. Poke bowl was a little too saucy, but still good. Portobello fries, fish and chips with a generous portion of the caper sauce were perfectly fried. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. If you later in the evening there is no battle for parking and Costco is nearby if you want to gamet gas afterwards

Some of the freshest seafood you can find in Carmel Mountain. Always super friendly staff working, and they have TVs inside as well as a great outdoor seating area, which has umbrellas

Got the clam chowder and it's not too bad. Great in a punch but missing a little something. Overall the chowder did have tons clams so I can't complain there! The service was quick and friendly. And appreciated that there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It definitely has the quick bite ambiance.

A bit inconsistent, been here a dozen times and sometimes whatever I get is good, and sometimes it isn't. However, I do quite enjoy the poke tacos. The shells are light and crisp, they go well with the poke. The fish and chips are a banger as well. Sometimes the fish are not so fresh, but then again, it's a hit or a miss. Poke bowls are okay here, however poke tacos are much more satisfying in my opinion. It comes with two choices of sauce that you can drizzle over the fish, which are complete bangers. I've gotten the plates before and I do not think they are good, they're a bit too bland and under seasoned. If it's your first time, fish and chips def wouldn't disappoint.

Bruh, Fish District was pretty good. That calamari was not overcooked, a little salty but after squeezing them lemons it became zesty for sure. Now those fish sticks tho, it's crispy with the triple Y are you so good. I also had the mahi tacos and not sorry for not having any pics cause it was already in my belly!

Very delicious fish n chips place. Was at a local appointment and saw this place with pretty great reviews. Was hoping for halibut fish n chips or haddock which they only had cod so I went with that. Food was served hot & fresh and no complaints at all, the coleslaw was to my liking and so were the sweet potato fries. Will for sure return.

Our experience was pretty good. Found this place on our way home from San Diego. Great customer service and the food was good. My husband ordered the fish and chips and enjoyed his food but said there was nothing major to rave about. I had the poke bowl and it was also good. I got it with the original sauce and I feel like the sauce was decent. Everything in my bowl was fresh. What we both really enjoyed was the soda machine which had soda that was made with out any high fructose syrup. So we tried some of the sodas and really enjoyed them.

I found my new favorite fish & chips spot!! I didn't know about this place until my bf brought me here and I can't believe I haven't had their fish and chips until now. It's tucked away in the corner between the At Home plaza and the plaza with Marshalls. Parking is easily accessible even on the weekend. The restaurant wasn't too busy during the early afternoon and food was served quickly! We ordered the 3 piece fish & chips and the combo that included shrimp & fish. The way the fried seafood is battered is so delicious! The fish & shrimp were crispy, not oily, tender and juicy! I find it difficult to get good fried shrimp these days and fish district's shrimp was not only big but also deveined and not overcooked! The fries are also yummy! Medium thickness and still crispy. The fish & chips came with tartar sauce and the combo came with cocktail sauce (amazing flavor), sriracha mayo (I think), & tartar sauce. They're generous with the sauce & fries portions! Both items were around $17 and left me feeling satisfied.

Ok ok I actually wanted to give this place 6 stars! I have been coming here for almost 4 years now after moving from the back from the Bay Area. Hilda and Fernando has been serving us ever since, if I'm not mistaken. I love everything here! The clam chowder, fish and chips and really everything else seems to be such high quality food and high quality and kind service. This place feels like I'm eating at home. Like a family vibe. Whether you it inside or out in their patio, the experience is the same. Sometimes we have our puppy with us. It's so convenient as well since my children loves food from their neighbor businesses. I also wanted to acknowledge their new team member Paige who has made us feel even made our experience that great. Please please experience this place for your selves. My family and I love this place and will continue to be our regular seafood favorite.

Really tasty food! Quick service. Nice, clean restaurant with plenty of seating. Will come back again!

We arrived during breakfast time and ordered the BLT bagel and Hilo Loco Moco. The loco moco was really unique to me because the burger patty, gravy, and eggs were served over a spicy Portuguese sausage fried rice. The fried rice had a good, slightly sticky texture, which I liked. The gravy was tasty, and the over-easy egg made the dish creamy once the yolk mixed in. The patty was thick but personally, I would've preferred it thinner. Overall, it was delicious but very heavy. I was kind of over it halfway through. The BLT bagel was pretty tasty. I got it on an onion bagel, which was soft and chewy. I liked that every bite had bacon and it was even topped with two extra pieces. It also came with a scoop of mac salad, which was just okay. The cafe serves coffee, tea, and other drinks, but they don't have any sugar-free or low-sugar options, not even diet soda, so I just stuck with water. Customer service was just okay. I'm used to the super welcoming, family vibe at other Hawaiian spots I've been to, and I didn't really get that here. The staff came off a bit unfriendly.

Let's start with the basics: our server, Kennedy, was completely checked out. Zero urgency, zero professionalism, and an obvious "I don't care" attitude the entire time. But bad service ended up being the least of our concerns. The food was flat out unsafe. My garlic shrimp came out with the digestive tract still in it and yes, not cleaned at all. When I brought it up, Kennedy grabbed a manager who didn't even bother to introduce herself. Her response? This has "happened multiple times before" and ownership is aware and chooses to keep it that way. She actually said the cooks "don't have to clean the shrimp." Let that sink in. So this isn't a mistake, it's a standard. Then it got worse. My wife's chicken katsu was RAW in the center. Not undercooked but raw. Pink, unsafe, completely inedible. At that point, we were done. Serving raw chicken is not a small oversight, it's a serious health risk. Meanwhile, both the manager and Kennedy were more focused on watching Coachella than doing their jobs. Kennedy was openly yelling things like "Oh shit!" about performers while ignoring tables and with children around. Completely unprofessional and honestly embarrassing to watch. So to recap: * Uncleaned shrimp being knowingly served * Raw chicken making it to the table * Burnt beef * Staff that couldn't care less * Management admitting they're aware and doing nothing This isn't just bad service, this is negligence. Ownership should be ashamed, and this place seriously needs to be inspected by the health department before someone gets sick. Do not risk your money or your health eating here!
