Just like any typical poke restaurant, they assemble your bowl in front of you and you get to choose choice of rice or salad, proteins like salmon tuna tofu etc, and toppings/sauces like edamame, seaweed salad, imitation crab, sesame oil, etc. The freshness and the taste of everything combined was pretty good but for $16 a bowl not worth it. I'm used to bigger scoops of my tuna, salmon, and brown rice from other establishments for cheaper. Wasn't as filling. Service from the two ladies were nice. Good selection of sauces, including regular poke sauce, spicy poke sauce, spicy mayo, and sesame oil. I was a little unsure how fresh everything might be because I came towards closing time, but everything was good and fresh. My only nit would be that the portions of fish were a little small. Poway local Poke shop, I stop by here from time to time when I crave Poke during lunch time. I usually stroll by after 12:30 pm to avoid the lunch rush. parking shouldn't be an issue. It's a small shop with outdoor dinning benches. Cashier/ food handler always greet me and asked what bowl size I wanted. I usually aim for regular since it's only a dollar more than small. I get three scoop of proteins. I go for salmon, tuna, octopus and white rice for my bottom. I get their Spicy Poke sauce and Spicy Mayo on top of my protein and on top of my rice. I usually get all the topping except Jalapeño. If you are thirsty and want something kind of sweet I recommend their black milk tea in the bottle. Overall it's super straight to the point, you get your food and you get out. Quick and easy. read more

Wow I was so pleasantly surprised by this poke spot!! I had it bookmarked for ages when it first opened, then left town and forgot it existed. I'm so glad I was craving poke while in Poway which prompted a quick Yelp search!! I'm not sure if it owner helped me out or just an amazing employee, but after he found out it was my first time here, he made sure I understood how it all worked, let me sample their sauces, and was overall so friendly! The workers were very careful about assembling your poke bowl. Anyways, the reason I rate it 3.5 stars and round it to four is because of the service! The food seemed pretty high quality and fresh. I usually don't finish poke bowls that I buy because I will start feeling a little sick or tired of the food, but I ended up actually finishing an entire regular bowl on my own. The portions were more than adequate and it was nicely packaged as well. Extremely friendly and helpful employees will help you figure it out and provide sauce samples too if you can't make up your mind! If you like sushi or nigiri, or poke for that matter, I recommend the regular size bowl that comes with 3 scoops of protein and a base of white or brown rice, salad or half/half. Everything looked fresh so I chose a scoop of the spicy tuna, and chunks of salmon and tuna tossed in spicy poke sauce. Finally, I topped the bowl with almost all the accoutrements; seaweed salad, masago and cucumber to name a few. I was not disappointed! The price is a little higher than other similar restaurants but this is very convenient for the surrounding businesses. Service was fast and friendly. Still, I was pleasantly surprised and would return. They follow the same concept of choosing rice/fish/toppings. I opted for the Regular sized and got half rice/half salad, 2 salmon and 1 tuna and a variety of toppings. I wasn't as much of a fan of the sauce but the seafood was relatively fresh and you get a pretty hefty amount. Went here for the first time today. I was really excited as was my son. We went in and placed our order (2 medium bowls with no extra toppings). When it came to check out my bill came out to be $43!! This is a really nice place for poke. It's small, and there isn't much inside seating, but there's a cute covered courtyard in the back! A perfect lunch spot. I think most people get it to go though. The scoop size is small here so I always order a large size, and I don't feel stuffed. A large with a drink and 15% tip runs $15.88. So, not exactly cheap for lunch for one. Good quality though, and I think it's worth it. Fish quality is very good. It always tastes fresh and yummy. I usually go for tuna, spicy tuna, salmon, and scallop. All are excellent. They have a good selection of toppings, all the stuff you expect from a good poke place. Service here has been consistently very good. They are fast, polite, and helpful. Each time they have asked me if it's my first time there. The first time, they walked me through everything and were very nice about it. The inside is cute, and is kept spotlessly clean.
