The Poway location is one of my favorites because it's always clean, they consistently deliver efficient service and often has slightly lower prices than other locations. My go-to burger is the Ultimate Cheeseburger. The sandwich slightly evolved over the years when the bun was upgraded. The two seasoned beef patties are topped off with layers of American and Swiss cheese, ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise. I think its success is in its simplicity. I skip the fries as a side and upgrade to stuffed jalapeños. There are other fast food chains that offer this, but Jack In The Box is one of the best, especially when paired with their ranch sauce. I'm not a soda drinker so I upgrade to a chocolate or strawberry shake. With whipped cream and a cherry on top, their shakes can't be beat with the exception of Del Taco's strawberry shake that has real strawberry bits. One word of caution. My order is an upgraded, custom meal and is a little higher priced. If you just want a burger, fries, and a soft drink, you can order their standard burger combos or munchie meals to make it easier on your wallet and get the most value. Also, their app offers special digital deals, and allows you to earn rewards points for free food. I highly recommend using it, especially if you visit a lot. Other menu items to consider include the Chicken Teriyaki Bowls, tacos and churros. They pretended to look surprised and didn't give us the sauce requested. We don't expect customer service, but at least give us the food that we paid for. While checking the food in the car, we noticed half the food was cold and dried out. There was a long line of cars behind us, so we decided to deal with it with a review instead. Jack in the box is def my least favorite fast food place but I do go here once in a blue moon because they are open late. The patty for my hamburger was so small it was more like McDonald's sizes. The drive thur takes forever and is so slow plus you can never hear the person taking your order. Once you finally make it to the window the people working seem nice and friendly though. I ended up trying the loaded mini tacos which reminded me of their regular tacos but with the lettuce on the outside. The churros were actually pretty good considering its Jack in the Box. Staff was friendly but they seemed a little disorganized running the drive thru and walk in customers. It is also a little tight walking in with the order window right in front of you. Been to this Jack-in-the-Box location several times over the past few decades yes it's hard to get in and out of yes it's smaller than most but the food quality has remain the same and that's excellent. What I've come to enjoy inside the restaurant are the old and historic pictures of Poway and San Diego. As Jack-in-the-Box is changing the times they've adapted new technology and I've been joyed the new app which provides awesome deals and keep the dining costs low. Whether you want two tacos, a Jumbo Jack or even a cheesecake for dessert- this place has it at reasonable prices that won't break the bank. i'm sure I'll be visiting this location again though it's not close to my home I do find myself in the neighborhood as my wife teaches in town. read more

All the food had no problems with them, next morning I am on my way to throw out the leftovers to find a USED lid in my soda. I love Jack In the Box. I consistently like their food and the quality is usually great. This has not been my experience at this location. I've lived near this location for about a month and a half, and have eaten here six times. They have given me the incorrect order three times. To the management: I recommend you start a policy where the person at the window reviews what's in the bag before giving it to the customer. I'm guessing that is already a policy, but it is definitely not being followed. As a side note, the one time I was frustrated enough to drive all the way back from my house to get my order corrected they didn't apologize, and it was only when I got home that I realized that I had been given the food I had originally ordered a half hour before that had been sitting on the counter the whole time. It was ice cold. Again, not a problem with Jack In the Box, big problem with the training and staff at this location. I want to buy more of your food, but I am going to drive an extra mile to go to another location for a while. My husband and I have been to quite a few Jack in the Box restaurants. We usually go to one closer to our house but this one is in rout to our parents house. We always order the same thing and the last 4 times we have gone to this location they have either done something wrong or forgotten an item entirely. We always order: 1 Bacon Ultimate Cheese Burger with no mayonnaise but with extra bacon. 3 jalapeño poppers. 3 egg rolls. 1 Jacks Spicy Chicken Sandwich, mayonnaise ONLY. The mini cookies and one medium coke. I understand it isn't a normal order and not a simple one. The mayonnaise situation is annoying haha I love mayo but my husband hates it! Anyways... The first time we ordered it there was cheese on the spicy chicken. The second time we got no egg rolls. The third time there was everything including cheese on the spicy chicken. And just last night, the fourth time, we did not receive any jalapeño poppers. These four visits have been over a two month time span. The inside is pretty clean, I have been to more well kept locations. They are fast with their orders though, maybe too fast... I tried very hard to like this place and gave them may tries, but four strikes is quite a lot :( read more

Only one suggestion, please consider that the national average for drive-thru is 340 seconds (google it) yet if I order 2 meals and there is a car behind me, they ask me to park at the gas station so they can "collect the money" from the car behind me.
