For a Dennys, this on me is OK, plenty of parking in their own parking lot. Staff has been friendly and meals come up fairly quickly. it's a Dennys and food quality is never that good and prices have gone way up over the past few years. read more

From start to finish, the service and food at this Denny's in Ramona, CA were excellent. I usually stop by for a quick breakfast, and this location consistently delivers. One morning, when I walked in, it took about five minutes to be greeted and seated in a comfortable booth with a nice view of the nearby highway. I was given a menu and some time to decide. About five minutes later, my server checked in, which I appreciated. I ordered the Santa Fe Skillet for $15.59 with my eggs scrambled. My server promptly took the menu and placed the order. The bottomless coffee is always a plus here. My food arrived in about ten minutes and was served sizzling hot. Throughout my meal, my server checked in to make sure everything was going well. The skillet was delicious--eggs cooked perfectly and the potatoes were flavorful and not dry at all. The dining area was clean and fairly busy when I arrived, but it wasn't too loud, making it a comfortable place to eat. One thing to note is that payment is made upfront at the counter instead of at the table. You're given a receipt and take it to the front to pay, which is quick and easy. Overall, I was in and out in under an hour--perfect if you're in a rush. Great food, great service, and an efficient experience. I'll definitely keep coming back. I don't think you'll have any problems here based off of what I've experienced. read more

There is an ant infestation at this location. He sat in booths in the front dining room and they were crawling on the tables. When we moved to a table in the middle of the dining room there were ants on that table too. Disgusting. Food was also under cooked. read more

Not as good as it has been. I had the chicken bacon fried sandwich. Chicken was fried to a crisp. The edges were so hard I could not bite in fear of breaking a tooth! Shakes were always good and plentiful. Not any more. They did away with the tin cup. I guess that is the way to make the portion smaller. No more expensive shakes for me. When an establishment charges the same but the portion is now less, that's it for me, read more

Why am I showing an empty plate? Because this is how my plate looks every time I order the Bourbon Street Chicken Skillet, when I finish. You get 2 decent sized chicken breasts, grilled potatoes, and steamed vegetables covered in a sweet Bourbon glaze. Ever since I found this on their menu, it's the only thing I've ordered the 10 or so times we've been to Denny's in Ramona. And, I've left my plate emptied! You might not like Denny's or think it beneath you. But, the Bourbon Street Chicken is better than the majority of meals we had at "higher quality restaurants." Give it a try! read more

I'm blown away at the Denny's in Ramona, it's the best place to eat up here! Cob salad, omelettes, sandwiches, dinners like steak and pot roast, smoothies (strawberry banana is my kid's favorite) the best burgers, etc. Something for everyone and the owner Fernando makes sure everything is perfect... everyone in town knows this already but to anyone else it's a good little secret.. people drive by thinking all Dennys are the same, and want to go to a cafe...NOPE ...All I have to do is bring family and friends one time, then next time they come up they only want Dennys. This 5 star Dennys is the only one I eat at.. it is so good and it has to be because of the man who runs/owns this place Fernando and his team, make this Dennys feel like home and the food taste sooo good. This Dennys needs some type of award and the other Dennys should really see what's going on up here and follow suit! read more

I have eaten here off and on for 17 years, and I'm pleased to report that the Ramona Denny's has really turned things around! Could not have been more evident during my last visit! We enjoyed a wonderful dinner experience here and will certainly be back soon. I was astonished at not only the level of attentive service, but how quickly everything came out! I remember back in the day being the only one in the restaurant and waiting literally 30 minutes for a simple breakfast to come out. And I'm not exaggerating on either account. I tried one of their new burger specials, the "Southwest Chorizo Burger". Beef burger blended with chorizo sausage and topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, pepper jack queso and some sort of five pepper sauce. Served with lettuce, mater, red onions and pickles on a cheddar bun, with fries. Only $11.19. The burger was outstanding with a distinct smoky and spicy chorizo flavor. As hearty as that bun was though, it succumbed to the hot & juicy patty and moist burger-set. After a few bites it all turned into a hot mess, but it was delicious. Highly recommended. read more

My opinion about Dennis has not changed. Breakfast food taste good. At different restaurants I've paid 2-3 times more for the same food. Looks like they have a new menu. Interior needs remodeling. I wish for them to offer almond milk so I can drink coffee. read more

Visited 9/12/2018 Late night in Ramona and not a lot of food choices. Decided to give Dennys a try. Chocolate shake was very tasty. The Prime rib cheese melt was disappointment as it no way look like the picture on the menu. This prime rib was tasty that's where the sandwich left off. It was smothered in some kind of cheese sauce and not very good at all. 2Stars. Not recommended. The stack bourbon bacon cheeseburger was quite a surprise. A delicious burger cooked near perfectly covered with cheese, grilled onions, grilled bell peppers, and a delicious bourbon sauce. I never thought I would say that this burger was quite tasty and I would try it again. 4 Stars all day. Service was good place was nice and clean I would definitely stop here again. read more

When we eat at the Ramona Denny's we are always very satisfied with our meals. The salmon is delicious and the T-Bone steak is wonderful! The lava cake dessert is the perfect thing to share after a wonderful meal! The Manager is always friendly and fast taking orders and seating people. He is great at remembering customers. We always feel welcome and the cooks there could not be better! Who knew, Denny's has such great meals at fair prices. We have payed twice as much at steak and seafood restaurants for equal what we get at THIS Denny's. Hope they always keep the Manager and cooks The place is very clean! read more

If anyone read my review before I deleted it, I had some misgivings about this place. Upon speaking with the manager, Fernando, he was friendly, professional, and was more than ready to address my concerns. Based on him alone, I will be sure to give this place another try. I feel that it would be less than fair to give this place any less than five stars based on his excellent customer service. Nice job, Fernando. read more

The choices are limited here for Vegans but we do enjoy the byo burger. They changed their patty earlier this year and the one they serve now isn't as good, but it is still the only burger for miles that we can eat. Recently, we ordered online and picked it up to eat at home. Opening the burgers was disappointing to discover that both burgers were loaded with pickles, which we don't like and it wasn't what we ordered. Checking our online order form and the email that Denny's sent back confirming our order, against our receipt from our local Denny's, we discovered that there is a communication gap between them. Bottom line, this is still the only place nearby that serves a burger without meat. The food is ready when they say it will be. We occasionally want a burger but prefer to eat at home. Ordering online creates a problem. Maybe we will try shorter instructions. "xtra lett&tmt. No pickle". It might fit on the line but not sure if it will go through or if they will understand it if it does. Or maybe call to order. It is an inconvenience to open up an order and take it apart to see what is on it but if you prefer certain things, check your order for accuracy before leaving the restaurant. read more

Either my standards for food have gone up or Denny's has gone down hill. I went to give it one more shot today since my last visit wasn't good, and unfortunately it hasn't gotten better. The prices have skyrocketed (which I know is a universal thing) yet the quality has suffered. My meal was $8 for half a tiny sandwich that was missing ingredients and had very questionable Turkey meat in it. The Turkey meat was pale and had grey patches throughout it. The fries were flavorless and only made better with the side of ranch I asked for. Everyone else's meals I went with had similar reactions as me, low quality food for a higher than it should be price tag. Only reason I'm giving it 2 stars instead of one is because the waiter was very kind and apologetic about the state of the food. read more

I have mixed feelings about this Denny's. On one hand, they greeted me warmly as I entered the eatery. But on the other hand, my server wasn't particularly friendly towards me. He was proffessional, but I'll take friendly over proffessional any day. He was knowledgeable and helpful. But not do attentive. He didn't stop by to see how everything was nor to sell me anything else before dropping off the check. He ran off so fast after he dropped it off that I couldn't ask for a refill on water. That's ok I some water in my car. My order came out quickly and as requested. The eggs were perfect, over easy just as I ordered. The biscuit was light and fluffy as a biscuit should be. I could have used a little more gravy. Speaking of which it had plenty of sasage was thick without being too thick and tasted good. For my personal preference, I did add a little salt and pepper. The hash browns were good, nice and crispy on one side, had my server been a little more attentive, I would have asked for extra crispy on both sides. The establishment was clean and well maintained. The man at the counter was friendly. I showed him My CDL which shows my Veteran Status and asked if it qualified me for a discount. He said yes thank you for your service. It got me 15 %. I originally rated this Denny's at 3 stars. But I reevaluated the situation and didn't think it was fair to judge the whole experience solely on one server. 4 stars for Denny's and 3 for the server. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps he is new to this line of work and will improve with time. read more

If you wish to go the best Dennys in San Diego County go to the Dennys in Ramona! Not only do they know how cook the traditional Dennys fare, but you'll receive prompt, courteous and friendly service despite how busy they get. Nancy, the day manager works hard, waiting tables, being the cashier and keeping track of orders to make sure the customers are taking care of! The staff is efficient and they seem genuinely happy. Abbel is by far one of the best waiters I've ever seen. Humbly efficient, he always makes sure the customer gets the best value. This is a well managed franchise for sure. I have to drive through Ramona once a month and I make it a point to stop at this Dennys. Always walk out completely satisfied. Keep up the great work Nancy! read more

We have been weekly customers at Ramona Denny's for more than 11 years. Today we took the bait and went to eat in the restaurant because they sent us a 20% off entire meal coupon. When we went to pay, the assistant manager informed us that NO COUPONS WILL BE HONORD from 2pm to 5pm... but it was 5:55pm? Frustrated, I asked for my military discount which they have always honored and was told NO. I then asked for my senior discount and again SORRY, NO DISCOUNTS HONORED, again not even the coupon we emailed to you to get you to come back to dine in. The food was very slow and service slower. We will not ever spend our hard earned money here again. If you are prior military, you will not be respected here. Voting with my wallet, Denny is OUT! Over a couple of dollars you will lose thousands! Really smart business! read more

Up until a few months ago, I would stop at this Denny's to have dinner once per month. But then I met this server Nicole, who had the most sincere smile and wanted to please. I come here once a week only when Nicole is working there from Friday to Monday so that I can be served by her. She is very personable & professional and I have been very pleased by all her recommendations. Nicole is very attentive to her customers and I couldn't be happier! The brussels sprouts are to die for! They have an excellent seasoning and I believe they might be grilled! The food is good and I walk away satisfied and full. If I could give this Denny's 0 stars I would, the staff are horrible just pure horrible, my father and I ordered the bourbon chicken plate, and it was missing the veggies and when we asked if we can get veggies we were rudely turned down and the the server his name was Abel he started to argue with my father and I and then finally said that he can bring some, however at the end he tried to charge us for the vegetables that were supposed to be included in our dish so another argument arose and after a while he decided to take it off the tab, Stay far away from this dennys go to the miramesa location or Miramar dennys read more

This Dennys is very hit-or-miss. Some days, the food/service/etc is awesome. And other days (like today), they forget to include the little circle bits they cut out when they put the eggs in a basket. I am tempted to give this a two-star, but I do go here often enough, so it must be ok. This isn't the greatest Denny's. I feel like it could be cleaned a LOT better. BUT, they do have all the Denny's favorites. The service does take a little bit longer than I would prefer, but then again, I am always ordering $2 pancakes for my kids. I do appreciate that they are open 24 hours, but you would think when you are there in the middle of the night, you would get some good service. But even being the ONLY customer still means that there will be a wait. Go with the right attitude and it is fine. I wish they would clean it up a little. We could use a good Denny's here. The location in Mira Mesa is WAY better. We have ended up going to the IHOP in Escondido whenever we have the late night urge. read more

This location is not consistent with the food. Came in for breakfast and it wasn't the same as coming in at night and ordering breakfast items. The night cooks make the food way tastier. If you go morning order one thing then go at night and order te same thing best believe that the night meal is going to Taste better. One thing this place is consistent with is the fact they they always "ran out" of something. One visit they had run out of most items including avocados mushrooms no sirloin meat. What a disappointment thing place sometimes. But even with the the service we receive from the night crew still makes us come back. We ordered build your own slam and got charged for items in it why didn't they say that those items are charged for. read more
