I had breakfast at Kountry Kitchen 826 Main St, Ramona, CA 92065 (b/t 9th St & 8th St). This is a very nice restaurant with tables and booths. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It has very nice country decor and is kept very clean, including the restrooms. I ordered the sausage (huge size slices), onion, and cheese omelette (nice and fluffy) special, with oatmeal and a biscuit & gravy. Talk about home made. They even had raisins in the oatmeal. The gravy was really good and coffee was excellent as was the service. The restaurant had quite a few customers and everything I saw on their tables that they ordered looked great. I would like to address some of their few poor reviews-almost all related to service or bad food. They seem to be legitimate however on this review, the server was polite, attentive and very kind. She could not have done a better job. The portions are huge, price is right and yes, they do have a senior menu. The patio dining is great! When visiting Ramona, CA, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant. Good parking behind the restaurant.

From the moment i walk in it felt like a welcoming vibe. The waitress was super sweet and genuine. Gave me the right amount of time to decide on what i wanted to order with out being pushy . She suggested the coutry fried potatoes over the hashbrown for my morning breakfast and definitely was the best choice . The food has amazing flavor in my opinion, so worth coming here for a great breakfast meal. I would definitely be coming back when in the area.

So went today it was just fine everybody was friendly, clean ,food fresh but my issue is with a take out.I loved the Clam chowder and I wanted to take some home order the largest one she was like it's going to 20.46 ok no worries paid and tipped because I understand how it works in a restaurant. The bag was stapled so I didn't see it but when I got home I was a lil taken back for 20 dollars i would expect it to be filled not the case .So all in all 24 dollars and this is what I got Not mad but I just felt like wow ok i know things are tough and cutbacks need to be made but if you charge 20 bucks for soup and this is how it comes I would never have ordered it .

I'm not from this area and looking at the town, my expectations were not the highest. HOWEVER!!! This beat my expectations by so much and I was glad that I was able to try this amazing tasteful restaurant. I ordered the chicken fried steak with eggs and hashbrowns, with a side of country biscuits and gravy. For the amount of food that you get with the order and how great that it tasted, I was suprised that the line wasn't out the door or flooded with people or this place had higher and lots more reviews. The service was amazing too, they were very friendly and attentive to their customers. The inside the restaurant was definitely giving country vibes. If I'm back in the area, I will be coming back each and everytime. Overall, if you read this much I think you should be trying it too!!

Went to Ramona to meet some friends for breakfast. We decided on Kountry Kitchen as a change of scenery. I ordered a coffee, and they had Hazlenut creamer! Yum! The steak and eggs were my choice. They came with biscuits and gravy. The food was good, and I definitely had more than I could eat. Wasn't a fan of the country potatoes and would have rather had fries. Next time.

That commitment to quality and sustainability is commendable and something more restaurants should strive for. The staff is knowledgeable, and it's refreshing to see a restaurant that cares about where its food comes from. Unfortunately, that attention to ingredient sourcing seems to stop when it comes to cooking oils. Many of the menu items are prepared with soybean oil, which was disappointing given the otherwise high-quality and health-conscious image of the restaurant. Soybean oil is highly processed and contains large amounts of omega-6 polyunsaturated fats. While omega-6 fats are essential in moderation, excessive consumption relative to omega-3 intake has been associated with increased inflammation in some research. Soybean oil is also more susceptible to oxidation when exposed to high cooking temperatures, potentially producing compounds that some studies suggest may contribute to oxidative stress. In addition, many health-conscious consumers actively avoid industrial seed oils such as soybean, corn, and canola oils in favor of alternatives like olive oil, avocado oil, butter, or tallow. I would gladly give Marinade on Main a higher rating if they aligned their cooking oils with the same local, high-quality standards they apply to the rest of their ingredients. Switching to avocado oil or olive oil or beef talo would be a welcome improvement and would better match the restaurant's otherwise impressive commitment to quality. * also loose the standard strip of high fructose sodas and provide more natural optikns of drinks ...

We escaped today from the flatlander norms of North County and ventured up a path (State Hwy 78) that we hadn't trekked for a number of years. I think this is the only town with a Bol Weevil hamburger joint. We initially sought after and found it. We just couldn't bring ourselves to having lunch there. Too many good spots up here in Ramona. Searching Yelp, we found this place and decided to try it based on the large menu. We had a couple of delicious sandwiches, but I could see as the plates came outta the kitchen, I should've ordered a burger. They really looked awesome, ; and quite the variety, vbut we were already elbows into our plates along with house-made offerings. We also had the excellent ranch dressing that was offered along with the good onion rings. There are plenty of things to look at inside and out, as there are very much a hodgepodge of collections over the years. This place will be our visiting spot next time. CritDicks

There was also a younger guy there who had his back to the door when someone came in did not greet him just told him to wait. Someone would be with him then left into the kitchen. He did come back out told the customer, sit anywhere. seriously disappointed, do better.

Visually, it's a stunning cook--great muscle texture, a beautiful smoke ring, and a perfect bark. All the intense flavor and smoke live between the surface and that inner pink ring, so make sure your bite includes a bit of both. Man, what a delicious bite. I've been to that Michelin-recommended BBQ joint east of DTLA, and Pete's 100% blows it out of the water. This place makes California BBQ proud (that other spot is an embarrassment). I only wish they offered some zesty sides to pair with the meats to take it to the absolute next level! 1/3 lb Sausage: First bite delivers a perfect snap followed by great meat texture. Initially, you get hit with a slightly heavy saltiness, followed by a sharp, spicy goodness. I was on the fence after the very first bite, but the more you eat, the more the saltiness balances out. That snap, texture, spice, and salt combo just gets better and better until you realize you can't stop eating it. It is incredibly good. Pairing it with a creamy side perfectly complements the kick. Cornbread Upgrade: YES! The cornbread itself is delicious--excellent texture, great corn flavor, and a very mild sweetness. Plus, it comes with a honey butter blend that is next-level delicious. I ordered a pepsi (soda has free refills), chicken fried steak with over easy eggs that came with a biscuit with butter, and the famous cinnamon roll for my complete lunch (breakfast is served all day). The chicken fried steak tasted more like a sausage patty than ground beef, but the server assured me that it was made of beef and that the gravy is made of pork sausage. I had hash browns (shredded potatoes) versus the home fries (diced potatoes) and topped it with ketchup and Tapatio. The biscuit was warm and soft, but the bread that was worth coming to this diner was the Cinnamon Roll, it had a burst of cinnamon in every bite, wish it had a bit more sugar and frosting, but it was delicious nonetheless. I took a photo next to the framed autograph poster of Guy Fieri and was happy to give this diner a try due to Ramona Cafe being featured on this popular show.
