My sister and I decided to go out for brunch and found this family owned restaurant off of Poway Road in a little strip mall. It has been in operation in Poway for 53 years and is under new management and has recently had an interior refresh. When we entered the restaurant, we were quickly acknowledged and told we could sit anywhere we wanted. We chose a table for two and were brought drinks immediately. Service was great and our waitress assisted us with placing our order and answering any questions we had. All dishes here are cooked to order . I chose the Poway Omelette with a side of hash browns and sourdough toast. The omelette consisted of cottage cheese, diced tomatoes and avocado. It was a light dish and exactly what I was craving. The hash browns were crispy and cooked perfectly and the sourdough toast was great as well My sister ordered a Mushroom Burger with Swiss Cheese and a side of fries. The burger was amply sized and consisted of mushrooms, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles. She ordered the patty medium rare and it too was cooked perfectly. Her fries looked so good, I had to try them myself. We were able to enjoy our meal in a peaceful and quiet atmosphere and didn't have to worry about a loud dining experience. We never felt rushed and we were able to relax and enjoy our food, drinks and conversation. We were there at 11:45 am and could have possibly missed the breakfast crowd All in all, we appreciated this family owned business and I intend to return soon to support them. Thanks again to the folks at Cully's for great food and service.

Strawberry salad with grilled chicken.

The friendly staff welcomed us as soon as we walked in. The food was delicious! I ordered a strawberry salad with grilled chicken. It came beautifully arranged on the plate! My friend ordered a veggie omelet. She said it was really good. We will de definitely return. They close at 2 and serve breakfast, lunch and dinners. They are located on Pomerado Rd in the same shopping center as O'Reilly auto parts.

Home Cooking with quiet atmosphere and cool temperature on a hot Poway summer day.

The owner, Vianey took my order,,, soft scrambled eggs, rye toast, and pork chop medium, and could I have the hashbrowns crispy on top AND bottom? Picky was I, but everything was kind of a test... The dish was exactly as I requested. And with that, I was won over, and will revisit many times in the future! *And for once this restaurant serves "mild" salsa! YUMMMMM!

Wow, what a wonderful dining experience! My husband and I went to Cully's for breakfast and we were amazed at the remodel of the established restaurant. With new management for over a year now, they have refreshed the atmosphere and at the same time retained the charm of Poway's best kept breakfast secret. They have very reasonable prices and are very generous with the portions. The food was spectacular!! We look forward to visiting our new favorite brunch spot soon!

Stopped by this little hidden gem after their new management and I'm glad I did. Not only was the food delicious but also the service we got. We enjoyed their chilaquiles and their amazing hand made tortillas. Loved the friendly and home feeling ambience.

Hash brown, over easy eggs and tasteless/soggy chicken fried steak. Hot chocolate that taste gross.

It's been years since we went here for breakfast. I wanted hash browns so I ordered chicken fried steak which comes with 2 eggs and hash browns. Hubby ordered the $10.00 senior breakfast. He said the sausage was spicy, pancake, scrambled egg and free coffee was ok. I didn't like the chicken fried steak which was soggy and no flavor, so I only ate half, eggs was ok and hash brown was normal but the hot chocolate was nasty. Too milky and barely taste the chocolate. I told the waitress I would rather have OJ. I almost gag and left it alone. Hubby said he will not come back again. I usually get excited for good food.

This restaurant is under a new ownership and has been remodeled inside. Good home style breakfast and there's some Mexican options too. We ordered Eggs Benedict, a stack of pancakes and a Machaca scramble. I ordered my Machaca scramble with crispy hash browns and tortilla. They also offered me some fresh salsa. It was very delicious and I especially enjoyed my crispy hash browns. (Too bad the flour tortilla tasted like the ones you buy from the grocery store.) Service was friendly, portions were good, and prices were comparable. If you're looking for a breakfast spot please support local businesses and give this place a try!

Blueberry pancakes are the best here! Locally owned recently renovated inside. Good prices and delicious food. Come support a local owner and local employees.

Is the Fried Chicken Steak breakfast chicken or beef? My wife doesn't eat beef but love fried chicken. So would that be a good match for her breakfast?

"Chicken Fried Steak" is beef.

I also enjoyed the Egg Florentine plate, which came with house potatoes, a side of fruit, and toast. You order and pay up at the counter, they hand you a number stand, then hunt for a place to sit. There were groups of people hanging out and "brunching", while others were alone working in laptops. Honestly, I wouldn't be able to concentrate in there with all the noise. Anyhoo, I ordered the benedict, which came with a side of potatoes. Looked very appetizing! Unfortunately, I found everything to be on the salty side, especially the potatoes. My friend ordered their breakfast "burrito" filled with veggies and a protein of sorts (please look up the menu to find out what is inside). The burrito was more like a wrap, so not your typical burrito, but it was tasty! It came with a spicy sauce on the side and fruit. It didn't really need the sauce because the burrito was pretty flavorful; but if you wanted a extremely slight kick, add the sauce. I also took home a rolled Nutella pastry. It was very rich, flaky, and drizzling with Nutella. I ate it (only half) when I got home and I remembered the guy asking if I wanted it warmed up. I should have done that. Overall, it is a great place to meet up with friends and chat up a storm. Trust me, no one will hear your conversations. Would I come back? Sure. Although it is pretty far, I would probably try one of their drinks and something else on the menu, and maybe ask for no salt on the potatoes.

Ive brought friends here in the past and have always gotten positive feedback afterwards. Recently though, it feels like it's lost a little of its charm. The menu needs updating because with all the crossed out items on the board, it looks a little low end and like they're out of things. But they also always seem to be out of multiple items when I come these days. There's no food options any more most of the time, but the display cases remain. And seating... it feels like they got rid of 1-2 tables and the tables that were outside. There never seems to be enough seating so it's both cramped while also empty looking now. They have these side benches to sit on, but no one ever uses them because they're not super comfortable or good to chat with anyone with. Also, the bathroom. It's usually open, but twice now Ive been in there where there's zero toilet paper or the paper towel dispenser is out, but someone has just put a roll on top to tear at your own will. I loved this place so I hate saying more negative than good. The drinks remain amazing, but for a spot that is so popular, it's losing some of its own charm.

The eggs and hash browns were mediocre at best, and the bacon was so overcooked it had the texture of a chip and was way too salty. It was all fine, just nothing special--something I could've easily made at home for better taste and a lower price. The menu overall felt overpriced for the quality, especially since most items were $17+. Customer service was fine, but nothing stood out or made the experience better. The food did come out quickly, which I appreciated, and our drinks were refilled in a timely manner, which made the experience smoother. The one true highlight was the sourdough toast--it was actually really good. For comparison, places like Broken Yolk Cafe offer breakfast-style meals at a lower price with comparable (or even better) quality and portion sizes, which made this restaurant feel overpriced for what you get. Their website lists prices as $10-$20, but in reality most items I saw were $16+, so the pricing felt higher than expected and feel that should be updated ! That said, I personally find this place a bit too pricey for the overall food quality.
