Steve's Steak Sandwich is absolutely delicious. The steak is juicy, and the chimichurri sauce is the cherry on top. I will definitely be having this for lunch more often. I recommend ordering ahead of time.

Delicious food! I ordered the beef with chimichurri as a bowl. Very good and beef was tasty sauce has a spicy kick. Lunch special had a fried dumpling and small salad. Great place to grab a quick lunch. Service was prompt. Inside was clean with tables. Looking fwd to trying the other entrees

With the name The Grillery, I really didn't expect to see Asian food bowls on the menu. We expected a sandwich or burger restaurant and was thrown off by the bottles of soy sauce on the tables. We ordered the beef bulgulgi and the chicken teriyaki bowls. Portion sizes were good with a lot of meat with grilled vegetables over rice and came with sauces, a small side salad, and two gyozas. Though I wish there was a dipping sauce for the gyozas because they were a bit bland. The young lady who was working that day was very sweet. She came by to refill the water cups often too.

Thank you so much for delicious alpha meal salad all the time !! The beef is very good amount and generous. This beef is better than Korean bbq, very tender and even the salad sauce is perfect! Thank you very much again and see you soon ! Elisha

Everything is made fresh to order. Lots of love put into the food. I always go with their steak with chimichurri sauce. Hits the spot every time! Get the Steve's Sandwich, it comes with either fries or salad. Great portions with lots of well thought out seasonings that'll satisfy your palate for lunch. Dine in or takeout, you won't be disappointed!

Alpha male salad add chicken

This was one of the best salads I've ever had so I had to post this review. I ordered the Alpha Meal salad and I added chicken for more protein. I also got it spicy. The green aoli dressing is a perfect compliment to the chimmichurri steak marinade. It was kinda pricey around $25 (because of the added chicken), but so worth it. Thanks again Vu!

4.5! Great little hidden lunch spot. Amazing steve steak sandwich. Paired great with the jalapeno aioli. We also got the combo bento. Bulgogi was delicious and flavorful but chicken was a drier than I would have liked. Ginger dressing for salad was bomb. Will be back again to try the alpha salad and other items on menu. Plenty of parking here!

My work ordered us some food from The Grillery. I think this is the sister restaurant of Teriyaki Grill down in Chula Vista. Anyway, I ordered the Steve Steak Sandwich. That seems to be the go-to item to get. And now I know why. The Steve Steak Sandwich is delicious. The steak is cooked medium rare and the torta bread is toasted to perfection. I really like the chimichurri sauce. Its garlicky and fresh. I feel like if they added arugula or a spring mix, it would complete the sandwich. This is a great place and I'm looking forward to trying more items on the menu.

I don't normally leave reviews and I don't normally eat steak sandwiches but this is one of the best I've ever had. Shaved thin it basically dissolves in your mouth. The bread was toasted perfectly and the chimichurri was perfect. Get this sandwich

The Steve's Steak Sandwich This is a flavor-packed sandwich! The steak is super tender and the chimichurri has a good amount of garlic! Has a nice spicy kick to it that helps cut through the oils in the chimichurri, and all wrapped up in a nicely toasted torta! The seasoned fries also just makes it a great sidekick to the sandwich. My personal suggestion? Wish it was bigger because it's so bomb!! Definitely recommend this spot for a quick lunch!

The food is so good but they're super inconsistent with portions. I come here at least 2 times a month and the portions vary widely. You can see that if you compare my photos to the photos posted by other users.

The menu will certainly whet your appetite. There are friendly and helpful staff to make your experience better. We ordered the following: 1) Ribeye Bistek Bowl: WOW GREAT FLAVOR AND SEASONINGS. RIBEYE WAS TENDER AND COOKED PERFECTLY!!! I CAN EAT THIS EVERY DAY!!! (I ordered extra portion of ribeye for $13.99. In my opinion perfect serving size for me!!!) 2) Fried Chicken Adobo Bowl: great flavor and huge serving. Chicken tender and juicy. Had to bring home 1/2 of the bowl. 3) Oi Burger Combo: my daughter thoroughly enjoyed the flavor and seasoning. Perfect serving size. Came out hot. 4) 8 pc Egg Rolls: terrific flavor with sweet and sour sauce. Also served very hot. 5) Dynamite Fries: great tasting fries with a good crunch and flavor. Overall, I am smitten with joy to have found a restaurant with so many delicious choices that I'm familiar with. My life's goal is to order at least once, each item. It was a bit hard to eat as the whole thing fell apart quickly so we ended up picking at it like a salad. SISIG COMBO PLATE: I was able to get half half garlic fried rice and pancit for my carbs. Nice, crispy pork belly cut into the perfect bite sized pieces. Loved the mango serrano salsa! UBE CHEESECAKE: I wanted the minis but they were out at the time, so I ended up getting the full sized one. It's still not too big so perfect for 1-2 people. Good flavor and not overly sweet! Overall, great Filipino food although pricey for what it is; I got a bit of sticker shock when my total showed up. It's also a bit out of the way, but I'd definitely return to try other menu items if I'm ever passing though the area again. Definitely just a once in a while visit for me anyways because of the cost.

We decided to only get one roll to not overwhelm him. We also got the drunken noodles and the salt and pepper wings (of course!!!) THE WINGS WERE THE BEST!!! I could go there and just get a few orders and be satisfied. The wings were big and so crispy. They had a little curry flavor that gave it a nice touch. I've never had drunken noodles before. The meat was cooked just right and seasoned well. The 911 roll was perfect! Just the right amount of spicy. The chilli oil gave the roll a unique flavor. Sometimes it's nice to not have sushi that's drowned in spicy mayo. (And I loveeeee spicy mayo) Whenever I'm back in that area, I can deffinitly see us going back. It has moody lighting inside and they have little table lamps that give it a swanky feel. The worker who served us was friendly and attentive. Our waters were quickly refilled. We got pork chop suey, chicken and broccoli, a mushroom dish, and rice. I liked the variety of veggies that came with the dishes. A lot of them had mushroom in it. My toddler even enjoyed the mushrooms. One of the mushroom dishes came in a cute small cauldron pot with a handle. The bad: Because the food came out so fast, we didn't have time to sit and talk with our guests. I thought the spicy beef dish we got would be with the numbing peppers the way I Imaged most Szechwan dishes to be but it wasn't. The rice was a bit clumpy and didn't taste the freshest. On a random night since me and my partner weren't sure where to eat we decided to finally give Chins a chance since it was close by. Upon entering we were actually surprised at how nice the interior was. This isn't a typical hole in the wall Chinese spot but more of a nicer sit down restaurant. After speaking with the host we were quickly seated and provided the menu. Looking through the menu you can tell this is a Chinese American spot so I wouldn't expect traditional Chinese dishes here. Once again we were indecisive on what to order so we just told ourselves to get at least one of each standard meat and went with the salt and pepper wings, tangerine beef and Shanghai pork. The salt and pepper wings tasted good but unfortunately they are quite small. Some other Chinese American spots do charge more for wings but they tend to give you a generous amount in those cases. I did appreciate that it was doused in a lot of garlic and that they included wonton strips but I'm not sure the price justifies it. On the other hand the entrees did provide a lot of food and they didn't skimp on the meat here. The Shanghai pork tasted similar to braised pork dishes I've had in other Asian dishes but just a tad milder. As for the tangerine beef we only went with this because we've had orange chicken at other places so many times that we wanted to switch it up. Thankfully the switch up worked because it was delicious; less tangy than other orange meat items but still solid and had a prominent orange taste. Both of the entrees were lightly fried and did not have an excessively crunchy batter which could be a con for some people but in this case I liked the texture in both items overall. Service was friendly and attentive so no complaints there. My waiter tried to speak Cantonese to me but unfortunately I don't speak Cantonese so perhaps the next Cantonese speaker can chat hum up for me. Overall although the food and service were good the only minor issue I have is with the price as it is definitely slightly more expensive than other Chinese restaurants or even other Chinese American spots. Despite that i won't knock them too hard on it and I'm still happy I finally got a chance to visit!
