This is a must try, and when you do, you will come back! I'll tell you what it's not often that I leave a review for a place, but this little gem is tucked away right off the 15 before reaching Escondido from Downtown. The first three things that came to mind after dining here were high quality ingredients, the customer experience/ambiance, and attention to detail. Eddie who I believe is the gentleman who runs the place was my "cashier" he provided the two recommendations photographed below (I am not a photographer) but I can tell you they were both out of this world. The Prosciutto & Fig, Toast and the Allen's Tuna Cool and Tasty. The staff was warm and inviting, and though this is a coffee shop, they came around table to table, customer to customer and asked how they were doing, and if there was anything they could do to make the experience better. You just don't see that in a coffee shop. This place is an entire experience and it's clearly built around highly effective culture. I will drive out of my way to come here, I discovered this place on a whim and will now be regular. If you get a chance, whether you're a local, or someone just visiting "Cali" give this place a try you won't regret it, ask Eddie about his story of how this place got started with him and his three daughters. Came here for breakfast around 9:00 AM and had a really smooth experience overall. Parking was easy to find, and the line moved quickly--always a plus when you're hungry in the morning. They offer both outdoor and indoor seating, but since it was a bit cold, we chose to sit inside. Seating indoors is somewhat limited, but we were able to grab a spot without much trouble. We ordered two different toasts, and both were so good--definitely the highlight. Each was around $13, which felt reasonable for the quality and portion. I also tried their unique PB latte, which was surprisingly delicious, along with a regular latte that was just as solid. First time here and I love it! It was busy in a good way since I already knew it would be good even before getting my meal. I didn't wait long to order or receive my sandwich and the Allen's tuna was fresh and delicious. I customized it without greens and changed the bread but the cashier was very accommodating and friendly. It was robust and they definitely don't skimp on the tuna and avocado. Cute cafe in RB. They have a kiosk to order or you can order at the cashier counter. I ordered the bagel lox and the bacon havarti. The bacon havarti was a piping hot sandwich. It came with thin slices of crispy bacon which I appreciated. This was a smaller sandwich for $8.99. This sandwich had a mild flavor, I needed to add some hot sauce to it. The bagel and lox was an everything bagel filled generously with cream cheese and salmon. $10.99. It had capers and red onions too. I loved it and will order this again. Many options here. Has been kinda disappointing the last few visits. They've been forgetting ingredients in certain items when I order to-go. When I brought up the issue at my next visit, they had poor customer service toward a resolution. I just got reprimanded that I should have shared the issue on the same day, which seems pointless since I took it to go so what difference does it make? I was literally back there the next day. Update to a previous review: - I got the matcha latte this morning and it was the best matcha latte I've ever had. Nothing extra like rose or lavender - just matcha. Not sure what the baristas are doing differently, but they are crushing it. - The matcha frappe is solid and a nice morning frozen drink to offset a hot summer day. - I've been ordering their Lox and Bagel sandwich and it is always fresh, loaded with salmon, and cheap ($10) compared to every other place in town. Cute little spot tucked away on the corner of Rancho Bernardo Rd. and W. Bernardo Dr.. It's in a small area with some parking, but it can be difficult to find a spot when it's busy. Ordered a hot white mocha which was average. Also ordered prosciutto and fig toast. While the ingredients tasted great all together, the bread was EXTREMELY toasty. I couldn't even use my plastic knife to cut into it or bite it comfortably. I ended up taking it home and used scissors to cut the bread, which required some effort. They have a large menu with plenty of items to choose from. I just don't think I'll be returning here anytime soon. The service and ambiance were the 2 best traits about this place. read more

My daughter ordered me an acai bowl from here last month and ever since I have been dreaming of another. I placed an order on-line and it was ready for pick up within about 15 minutes. The acai bowl was just as good the second time and did not disappoint. Packed with acai sherbet and loaded with fresh bananas, blueberries, granola, and coconut. Super fresh and delicious and very filling without feeling too heavy. I got my daughter her favorite, an everything bagel with lox, cream cheese, capers, and tomato. Also packed with goodness and she said just as good as the last one she had from Elmisa. I also tried their coconut caramel macchiato (hot and it was very good. I got it with oat milk and it was very flavorful and creamy. Prices are decent as well, I think my total was less than $30 (plus tip) and we got a lot of food. On-line orders are easy to pick up. There is also seating inside if you would like to dine in and even books to pick up and read (donated by the local community) while you eat. Staff is great as well. Parking is a bit crazy, not a lot but there are two spaces for pick up only and depending on the time of day you arrive we have been lucky enough to snag a nearby space. So glad we found this cafe. Too bad we got there less than an hour before they were closing at 3pm. This place serves breakfast, brunch, and lunch. There's not a lot of seating but it wasn't crowded when we got there so we found a table easily. Anyway, as fans of tuna, we ordered a tuna salad sandwich and also a Greek salad with a scoop of tuna salad. The salad and sandwich were very good. Both tasted fresh, good flavor, and not salty. Decided to grab an acai bowl while I was waiting for my appointment up the street. Ordered the RB acai bowl to go and it came out pretty quick. So I'm sitting in the parking lot for my appointment and get ready to dig in! Unfortunately what I didn't realize until I pulled it out of the bag was that it's a frozen solid bowl of acai with the toppings put on top. 35 minutes later....I am currently still waiting for it to melt enough to enjoy. 5 stars for their Coconut Matcha Lychee drink!! Although this may be a seasonal drink since it was written on their chalk board sign right in front of the register, I'm hoping it's a forever thing! I came back twice within a span of 1 week since I was craving it again. I also tried the Hey Honey Burrata Toast which had avocado, a lot of arugula, prosciutto, and hearty pieces of burrata with honey and red pepper flakes. Good and filling but my drink was the star of the show. Service is super nice. The cafe has a good amount of tables and it's pretty busy whether it's morning or afternoon. 1 hour limit if you plan on doing some work there. For beverages I chose the chai latte with oat and their chocolate peanut butter smoothie. For food I ordered the following.. TURKEY APPLE BRIE - Turkey, brie, granny smith apples, whole cranberry sauce, drizzle of balsamic glaze on sourdough AND BACON HAVARTI- Bacon, Egg, Havarti cheese, sun-dried tomato aioli, organic arugula on brioche The beverages were good. The chai was unique and flavorful. I would order that again. The smoothie was alright and could have used more peanut butter. The sandwiches were good. The turkey apple brie is one if their most popular. I liked the apple in the sandwich but it needed to be thinner as it came out of the sandwich when I took a bite. Keep in mind since it is Brie, the longer you wait to eat your sandwich it starts to look a little greasy. It would have been nice too to have arugula in it The breakfast bacon havarti was tasty. I enjoyed that sandwich as it has arugula to balance the flavors in the sandwich. I would order that again. Overall, it was a great experience, nice staff and a convenient location. Everything here is absolutely delicious. I've tried nearly every food item on the menu and not once have I been disappointed. My go to was always the maple cinnamon latte and I can tell everyone there is really passionate and they all have the best vibes. Parking can be a little bit of a struggle since it's a very small plaza but it is 100% worth it. My coworkers and I would often DoorDash or Uber Eats to get it delivered and they are always incredibly accommodating if we had any changes or any add ons. So happy I finally got the chance to try this place!! Elmisa is a cute little cafe with a lot of great food and drink options. We got the Rula, the Hampeño sandwich, and the mango/pineapple smoothie. One thing that stands out is their ingredients are very fresh. Both sandwiches were soo tasty and the flavors complemented each other well. The Rula is like a pesto/chicken sandwich, while the Hampeño is the perfect combo with jalapeños. The smoothie was really refreshing and I could taste chunks of the fruit which is my favorite. I think I would give this place a high 4.7/5. The only downside is that it is a little pricy for the amount of food, but since the ingredients are so fresh I'm not mad about it.
