This cafe has everything - Starbucks drinks to pastors to snacks and souvenirs. The women working there are so nice! I came here everyday during my 3 days work conference. I will say, it's a bit slow and usually just one person making the drink while the other makes the food. They do it one order at a time so it can be a bit of a wait.

This cafe inside Rancho Bernardo Inn has Starbucks! I found out on the last day I was there, otherwise I would've been there everyday. The lady working the counter (I think her name is Elizabeth?) is super sweet and cheerful. I ordered breakfast to go, and she even made the ham and egg sandwich over for me because a piece of bagel broke off when she was toasting it. I also had the brown sugar latte, and even though I've had the same drink at so many different Starbucks, it was by far the best at this location. I think because the lady made it like she is supposed to, and the Starbucks I usually go to just whip it up in a hurry. I really enjoyed getting the coffee here, it is literally the little things that impress me nowadays. Stop by if you want a take out breakfast or Starbucks while you're staying at RB Inn. I'm glad I did!

Love this semi secret place, but is well known I cannot keep secrets even more when they are sweet and pretty. Or pretty sweet, like this amazing coffee shop/patisserie/gift shop. I love coming here regularly to work when not in the office. The serotonin levels increase with the sound of birds, smell of flowers, freshness of grass and lucious plants and soft music too. Very very pleasant. The people working here are all super amazing and the pastries are the best you can get around the area. I am always so happy spending time here. Coffee is Starbucks. There is nothing not to like!

This is a tucked away little coffee/snack shop inside RB Inn. I only knew about it because of Yelp (thank you Yelp!). They're located to the right of the main reception check in area inside the lobby. I was happy they were open on the 4th of July. The nice girl working was welcoming and kind. We spent the day at the spa/pool and they don't serve coffee there. It's a bit of a trek to get here from the spa but worth it if you're jonesing for coffee. My iced coffee was made quickly. They use Starbucks beans I believe. The price was fair and the coffee tasted pleasant and smooth. The condiment section was organized, clean, and well stocked. Loved the little jars of mini honey too! There are also a few quaint tables with chairs by the windows. I think you can save $1 off coffee refills if you re use the same cup? So this would be a nice place to perhaps get some reading/work done if you're in the area.

I found out about this cafe through Yelp and I have to say it has the cutest little nook for studying or keeping away from the heat. It is a bit hidden since its located inside of the RB inn, but if you turn to the right from the entrance you'll easily find a pathway to the cafe. There are only about four tables inside but each of them have outlets and fast wifi to use. The cafe offers coffee made from Starbucks coffee beans and a couple of pastry options as well. The barista inside the shop was very kind and cheerful, which I appreciated a lot. I tried the honey b latte , which was sweet but not overwhelmingly sugary. I would recommend this cafe if you happen to be in the area and want to try a new environment for some quiet reading or to get some work done

I went here almost everyday I was staying at the hotel. It's a tiny cafe located next to the hotel concierge and they have all the essentials. They have coffee, lattes, teas, juices, pastries and breakfast sandwiches. The food is a little pricey but that's a given inside a resort. I had the ham/egg/cheese sandwich and bacon/egg/cheese sandwich ($5) another time. Both were good. They're pre-made but they toast it for you and it's actually pretty tasty. My favorite thing about this place was the view. You can eat your breakfast inside and have a great view of the garden. They also sell souvenirs such as candies, snacks and stone glasses/sauces. Service was friendly and the lattes were on point.

Indoor seating of 4 tables total.

Decided to check this place out since I was in the area and needed a place to study. It is inside the inn so I had to ask for directions to the cafe. However it is relatively easy to find once you do. I got a honey b latte with one less shot and it was great! The employees are super nice. Summer hours they close at 7! There's not many tables though...

Cute little cafe tucked inside the Rancho Bernardo Inn. Great for early morning coffee, tea or expresso. They open @ 6am and close @ 6pm. They have sandwiches, fresh fruit, chips, protein bars, etc. Great to pick up something and take to the pool or back to the room to enjoy.

We also split a croque monsieur which was warm, cheesy, and perfect to balance out all the pastries. I wish they had real cutlery (vs only plastic disposables) for dine in customers. Our family shared all these goodies and a plastic knife was no match for some of them. Overall, really good quality pastries and breads, worth the early lineup. Their cakes may be pricey, but…read morein my opinion, for the amount of work, effort, and quality of ingredients, I think they continue to be fair. For example, some other specialty bakeries/shops are charging similar prices for cakes and cheesecakes that are much simpler. In comparison, Extraordinary Dessert cakes take 3-4 days to make, have 6-8 alternating layers, and are typically adorned with edible gold and/or flowers. The key is to find which items you like and which are okay to pass on next time. What we ried this time: -Match Misu Cake (7/10): ricotta cake layers soaked in matcha and layered with marscapone whipped cream. This one was pretty good and ranks in my middle to high range. I only wish there was more matcha flavor (maybe if you dine in and get the sauce, this would help) or the matcha was paired with another flavor ... either go fruity (maybe a raspberry sauce, strawberry pieces, white peach pieces, or like a peach oolong cream layer) or go chocolately/coffee (maybe had some crushed up chocolate covered espresso beans). My go to's: -Ivoire Royale (10/10) - my ultimate favorite still. If you like light desserts, white chocolate, berries, and moist vanilla cake, thus one is for you. Classy and unpretentious -Shangrila (10/10) - my other favorite and will make you feel like a princess with all the pink chocolate curls. A little bit adventurous and innocently elegant. Ones to skip: -Au Chocolate / La Bete Noire / Dame Chocolate - get the Viking instead. That's my favorite of all their chocolate cakes -Lemon ricotta - get the Passionfruit Ricotta instead -Torta misu - the matcha misu is better. The tortilla misuse made me want a regular piece of tirmaisu than a cake version -Coconut cream - not bad, not amazing though

Flour Atelier is a small bakery right next to the hovering Mitsuwa. They carry two refrigerated sections' worth of original treats and pastries, many with Asian flavors such as their ube leche flan and calamansi cheesecake. I'm a gluten free girly nowadays, but when I could eat their desserts I did love their cheesecake: a balance of cream-to-crust is important to me. And those flavors? Standout. Hard to find many other places. They also have tea and coffee, and my husband and I LOVE their hojicha latte, which boasts a nice earthy-to-sweet ratio. If you want a grounded flavor without getting another coffee, try the hojicha latte! The store itself is quite small, selling sweet treats, drinks, and even flowers through a collaboration with a florist. They have about 4 tables outside -- recommended for small parties, unless you come when it's empty with a group. This is just below the price for an Extraordinary Desserts cake slice, which is not only bigger and more complex, but also made fresh. We noticed the crepe cake slice we got had that dusting of ice sparkles, indicating it was frozen and defrosting, and additionally, as it defrosted, the more it started leaning. Lines are always better with a friend and even though we all arrived before opening there was still a healthy line. I was really excited, to finally get to check them out, I saw on their socials that a new chef had taken residency and that they came with some Filipino flair. As a fellow Filipino I definitely wanted to support. I ended up ordering a lumpia roll, ube butter ensaymada, a halo halo tart and a egg sando sandwich along with an iced matcha with honey, with tip my total was $48, which isn't horrible considering these are meant to be higher quality pastries. My girlfriends and I found a table and decided we would share, I shared my egg sando sandwich and the lumpia roll, while they shared their ube butter ensaymada and the turon kouign amann. My matcha, was a horrible, it was a muddy green and really lacked any matcha flavor, my friend didn't like her matcha either and she had the miso caramel matcha. I didn't even finish my matcha and I can really take one down. We joked about how we should have opted for the orange juice instead. Now for the pastries, I was really underwhelmed by them, the ensaymada was just fine, I honestly cannot remember the taste of it, it lacked something. The egg sando sandwich, the filling was plentiful and flavorful BUT the bread was dry, was that potato bread? The texture was off for me and I ended up just scooping out the filling and eating it like that. Where the sando had a good amount of filling the lumpia roll lacked it, it was so sparse I figured it would be more like a sausage roll so I was taken aback by how little there was in it. Flavors were fine, the pastry was buttery but I just wanted a little more. The one pastry we agreed was better than the rest was the turon kouign amann, the crunchy bits of sugar was so reminiscent of turon but the filling, for me was like uncooked banana bread batter, that threw me off entirely. It was better, but not the filling. So overall, I would say it was okay, I guess for the costs it just didn't meet my expectations.
