Not a lot of boba shops in Poway, but nova is here and it's pretty great! I have had a variety of milk tea, viet coffee, and fruit teas here and they have all been well above average and quite good! My order is always ready quickly and I have no complaints on the service. The shopping center has a good amount of parking and the shop has some seating inside. They do have music playing loudly usually though, so I'd say for dine in it's better for socializing vs working. read more

Good tea! I got basic drinks to start and they were better than average. Like, I would come get them again. I got the wintermelon milk tea. It was well balanced, and not too sweet (which is a good thing). I normally don't get boba, but I got it this time around because it's cheap and it was surprisingly good! We came like an hour before closing and it was pretty fresh and chewy. Service was a tad slow, but the ambiance was nice. It's tucked deep into a somewhat dead plaza so it was a bit eerie going there at night, lol. The workers were extremely nice and patient as well. Would likely come again to try other drinks. Have to come here early though, as they close earlier than other boba shops. read more

I came to Nova Boba on a mission to find the best Vietnamese coffee and cheese foam in San Diego, and this place absolutely delivered. I ordered the Vietnamese coffee with cheese foam and it instantly reminded me of Saigon Coffee in North Park. It has that same rich and bold flavor that true Vietnamese coffee lovers look for. The cheese foam here is my second favorite in the city, right behind Maiko Cafe in Mira Mesa, which says a lot because their foam is legendary. What makes Nova Boba my new number one spot is the simple fact that I can finally get both Vietnamese coffee and cheese foam in one drink without having to chase down a pop up at a farmers market. I was originally planning on heading to the market for that little booth that serves my favorite combo, but I am so glad I found Nova Boba instead. Now I can come here any time I want without depending on a weekend schedule. The shop itself is quiet, clean, and surprisingly inexpensive compared to many other boba places I have tried. It has a calm atmosphere that makes it easy to relax or catch up with a friend. The staff is friendly and the menu has so many options that I already know I will be back. Next time I am trying the strawberry matcha because it looked amazing. If you love Vietnamese coffee or cheese foam or you are just looking for a new spot that will not disappoint, I highly recommend stopping by Nova Boba. It is officially part of my rotation now. Beautiful boba tea shop in Poway! Very clean, plentiful indoor seating options with traditional tables, bar-setup seating, benches. There was plenty of parking. The service was friendly. Ordering was done the old fashioned way - verbally with a human! There are some drawbacks with that though with waiting in line to order and order accuracy. My drink was made fine, but my husband's 1st drink didn't have the right sugar level, and the 2nd drink he got had milk in it when he wanted the fresh tea option. My advice is to be very specific in your ordering and to triple check all aspects of your order on the visual display provided at the cash register. To be fair, each time I had the opportunity to visually confirm and I didn't. Milk defaults to a non-dairy creamer (which has milk protein) but you can get oat or almond milk instead. They have a range of toppings including cheese foam. They do not have sea cream. Each drink we got was delicious and their prices are comparable to other local shops. There is not outdoor seating. There also isn't any music playing (in case that matters-- no risk of expletives playing with kids around LOL). I think this used to be a Ding Tea. The cup had a Nova Boba sticker on it but the top said Ding Tea. A bit of a brand identity confusion, but maybe they are using through their supply. Definitely worth a visit! There are even games like Uno and Jenga available to further make you feel welcome to linger. read more

When I came I ordered the vietnamese coffee with boba, it's okay, I think I heard originally it rose to the same level as Saigon coffee and that was a mismatch because it was more bitter and the boba was too chewy, maybe it was a one off but my experience didn't favor me to want to return anytime soon. It's a small place in the back of a plaza. Plenty of parking and seating area inside. Once you walk in, there are 2 kiosks you can order from. They have lots of choices for drinks. They also have Vietnamese sandwiches and buns. Will have to come back to try those next time. I ordered the jasmine milk tea with boba. I normally don't like boba too much but wanted to try. I'm so glad that I did. The jasmine milk tea was good and had good jasmine flavor. But the boba was delicious!! It was just the right amount of chew and sweetness. It was perfect!! I've been coming here since it was originally Ding Tea. The drinks are always good and my family's always satisfied. The staff is nice and the place is clean. My favorite was the hazelnut milk tea but they no longer have it. This was really the only reason I ever came as this is the only shop that had hazelnut. Bummed out about it but I'll still stop by whenever my kids want some boba. read more

Staff is friendly, they had an adorable dog in the store, but neither the food nor drink left any positive impression. Bahn mi was okay, but for $10, it was fairly small & didn't contain enough dressing/flavor. Other ingredients were okay, but again, I can get a bigger, more flavorful bahn mi in other spots nearby. Same with the boba - I got the jasmine milk tea w/boba, and asked for little or no sweetener. Once the sweetener was removed, the jasmine was also baaaarely noticeable, mostly tasted like watery milk. Again, with so much competition for boba, these guys need to work on their flavors. Seems like a new shop where ding tea used to be. Came here with a group of friends, the two workers served my drink so quick! One of the workers brings a dj deck to play on which adds to the ambiance. Felt like a mini rave LOL shout out diyraves Would suggest asking for less sugar since the drinks run pretty sweet read more
