Jasmine Green Milk Tea and Oolong Milk Tea
    Natalie C.

There aren't many boba shops in Poway unfortunately so this was one of the few. Interior reminds us of boba guys and the drinks came out relatively quickly. Service was nice and friendly as well. Drink quality felt really watered down and the boba itself was too soft. Maybe a bit overcooked? We didn't feel like the drink overall came together - it mostly tasted like water. You should be able to order milk teas with 50% or less sugar and still have a creamy milk + tea flavor

Such a cool spot! Everything about this place was great from the decor and the friendly staff to the 90's hip hop playlist. I ordered a taro milk tea and loved that you can choose your sweetness level. It's a bit of a drive from downtown San Diego, but totally worth it. The girl who helped us was super nice and even shared some great restaurant recommendations after we mentioned we were visiting San Diego from AZ. Two thumbs up for The Boba Co!

Cute shop! Drinks were fantastic! I really wish they had sealed tops though, makes for easy travel.

I ordered for delivery from this place before but I wasn't a huge fan of their drinks. I came by to the store this time. I ordered Jasmine milk tea. The Jasmine flavor was there but not over powering. I think i would want more tea flavor, less milky taste. The boba size is bigger than other places. The texture was chewy. The staff were friendly and the decor was different than what I expected.

Solid boba drinks! Always been promising for me so far. Lychee and honeydew slushies are my go-to. Boba has good texture. Service is always nice. Drinks always come out in about 5 min or so.

I honestly wasn't impressed by the boba here. I've had better, it was missing something just can't put my finger on it. I tried the OG milk tea. Service was quick. The kiosk wasn't working today. The inside/decor is super cool though! I wouldn't come back.

This place is always poppin! Every time we come here, it's packed with adults, teens and families. And they crack out the drinks so fast! It's a neighborhood favorite for sure! Highly recommend the butterfly juice as it's no caffeine. My kiddos love it! Their matcha is from Japan!! Say what!!! They always play the best 90s music. Can't beat that!! The BEST thing about Boba Co is they always support and give back to the community! You can see all the flyers and sponsorships they support. The owners are so sweet and nice! Give this place a try! Fill your stamp card with 10 drinks and get 1 drink free! Enjoy baby boo I'm still hopeful they'll add a snack menu heheh. Popcorn chicken here we come baby!!??

Bought 2 Pina Coladas because it was hot! Hubby and I like the drinks and came back the next day. I tried coconut milk tea but I didn't care about it. Enjoyed Pina Colada

Organic strawberry fruit tea with lychee jelly

I've always wanted to come back and try a fruit tea. I'm not a fan of fruit teas that use syrup. Most of the fruit teas here are made with 25% syrup. However, they have organic options like strawberry and blueberry that aren't syrup based. I tried the organic strawberry green tea, no sugar and added lychee jelly and it was very good! It was fresh and wasn't too sweet at all. Will def come back and try the organic blueberry as well. Staff here are nice and patient and go the extra mile to suggest other options for you as well.

    Strawberry Matcha Latte

They make the best boba and the best strawberry matcha drink I've ever had! I've gotten this drink 3xs and always regret not getting another one for the next day. Their drinks are on the sweeter side so I would recommend getting 50% of what you'd normally order in sugar level. Their baristas are always attentive and friendly and the shop itself has a nice aesthetic. Wish they had a location closer to Rancho Bernardo, but it's worth a drive to Poway! I have given out a lot of recommendations to my friends to come try their strawberry matcha!

    Some seating area

First time here. The place is small with some seating and very clean. Lots of parking and the service was great. However my drink was just ok. I saw a pic of the drink and it was passion fruit butterfly juice and I added the clear boba. It seemed like sugar water with a hint of passion fruit. I have been to many boba tea places so giving this review hurts. Everything else was great just not the drink.

    Oreo Taro Smoothie
    Rachel K.

I've come here multiple times now and the boba is always good, the perfect amount of chew and texture. I like to try a different drink every time and this visit was the Oreo milkshake (written on the chalkboard at the counter, not sure if it's on the menu). We also got the organic house black tea and honeydew smoothie. All of them were super good, and while the honeydew drinks are a very unnatural bright green the taste is excellent. The person taking our order was friendly, and we got out drinks within 5 minutes (there was no one there but when we left a bunch of people came in). The place itself is clean, there's a couple spots to sit and music playing too. The only complaint I have is I wish they had those sealed caps for the drinks with the machine instead of the ones you snap on. Other than that, this place is amazing.

My favorite boba place in Poway. Small store but with a couple tables and several bar style seats for people like me who like to have their drinks in the store. I always order the milk green tea boba, very good taste. Very hip and cool factor for classic Poway, refreshing!

The drinks were really good and refreshing. The only downside was the atmosphere...it wasn't the nicest but the boba itself was great.

Do you still sell shaved snow? I don't see it on your menu anymore. Can you make any of drinks sugar free? Or you can only reduce the amount of sugar?

Hello Susan! Unfortunately we do not serve shaved snow anymore. As for the sugar content, any milk tea can be made completely sugar free if you ask for 0% sugar. Please keep in mind that our boba does sit in a brown sugar bath so if you want it… Read more

They are closed Thursdays. They also close early on some days at like 7:30 or 8:00. Usually they stay open until about 9:00 to 9:30. I will try to take a picture next time so people will know.

The cheese foam here is my second favorite in the city, right behind Maiko Cafe in Mira Mesa, which says a lot because their foam is legendary. What makes Nova Boba my new number one spot is the simple fact that I can finally get both Vietnamese coffee and cheese foam in one drink without having to chase down a pop up at a farmers market. I was originally planning on heading to the market for that little booth that serves my favorite combo, but I am so glad I found Nova Boba instead. Now I can come here any time I want without depending on a weekend schedule. The shop itself is quiet, clean, and surprisingly inexpensive compared to many other boba places I have tried. It has a calm atmosphere that makes it easy to relax or catch up with a friend. The staff is friendly and the menu has so many options that I already know I will be back. Next time I am trying the strawberry matcha because it looked amazing. If you love Vietnamese coffee or cheese foam or you are just looking for a new spot that will not disappoint, I highly recommend stopping by Nova Boba. It is officially part of my rotation now. (w the alishan, idk that anything stood out, but that's just personal.) service was quick & the cashier walked us thru all the options. we got a tea w no ice but it was still plenty cold & filled to the brim there are only a couple tables so this is more of a takeout spot vs a place to study. definitely looking forward to trying other teas, this is another contender for fav tea in town :)

I…read moreremember it being a Rita's Italian Ice at one point, then a bubble waffle shop, and now it's BoBaPoP Tea Bar. Honestly, boba fits the area way better now, especially since more tea spots have been popping up around here. I stopped in for a quick drink and there was a steady flow of people coming in and out, which is always a good sign. Inside is clean and modern, very simple but put together. You can order at a kiosk or go up to the cashier, which makes it easy depending on what you prefer. The menu has a solid variety. All your usual milk teas, fruit teas, slushies, and blended drinks, plus a good amount of toppings. They were also advertising a matcha ice spinner which caught my attention, so I'll probably come back to try that and see how their matcha quality is. I went with a mango fruit tea at 75% sweetness and added boba. I sat outside while waiting, they have limited indoor seating but a couple tables outside which is nice. The drink came out in about five minutes, so pretty quick. First thing I noticed was there were actual mango pieces in the drink, not just syrup. That was a nice surprise and added a good texture. They were soft enough to go through the straw too, so it didn't feel annoying to drink. Flavor wise, I do wish I went lower on the sweetness. Even at 75% it was still a bit too sweet for me, but that's more personal preference. The part that didn't really hit was the boba. It was a little mushy and didn't have that chewy texture I usually look for. It also had this slightly artificial honey taste that kind of overpowered the drink a bit. Not terrible, just not my favorite. It's a solid and convenient spot for the area. Good variety, quick service, and a nice setup. I'd come back, but probably switch up the toppings next time.
