    Tiger Milk Tea

First time to this place, it's in the food court area of the north county fair mall. They have a big menu here, lots of options. I'm taking a star off because the service was a little slow, only one guy was taking orders and making them, but I saw three other workers in the store walking around; not sure what was going on there. Once I placed my order it came out fast which was nice. Also the line was so long it was in the walk way of the food court area. Ambiance was not great. My drink was very good though, fresh boba pearls which I liked they were soft and chewy. Overall I'm glad I tried this place, I'd come back again & maybe try something different.

Saw their sign near Cheesecake Factory and wanted to give it a try. Menu was eye catching. They just opened for the day, so no line. I ordered a matcha milk with strawberry crystal Boba. It looked like Christmas in a cup and was very good! Two employees behind the counter were nice but spoke very quietly. Almost shy like so I had to strain a little to hear them. Gave them a Xmas tip in the jar! This will be a place to take my granddaughter next time.

Logo is cute. I like the design of the drinks. I like the number of options they have.

They have really huge bobas, but the quality in taste is not as good as other places I've been too. The boba tasted bad, not soft like most places I've been to. It was chewy, just not the right mouth feel. It was too sweet for my friend, but maybe he wasn't aware of a sugar adjustment he could have made. It's at a food court at the mall so there is a lot of places to sit and enjoy your beverage. I would recommend Teaspoon or Daboba versus this place.

Cute logo, terrible taste. Couldn't even drink 1/3 of it before throwing it away. I got a green thai tea & it tasted like super watered down jasmine tea. The quality if super terrible. Would not recommend

I love boba drinks and I've had them in many places throughout SD. Unfortunately this is the worst one so far. Strawberry smoothie wasn't made with real strawberries and very strong artificial flavor. The brown sugar boba wasn't made very sweet. The syrup sank to the bottom and not mixing well with the tea (not real tea). Their ice cream was good though but they didn't make them in house. I wouldn't come here for boba drinks again.

I was at North County Mall and wanted to grab some dinner at the food court. I saw Tea Monks and couldn't pass up an opportunity to try a new boba spot. I ordered the Zen Thai Milk Tea. It wasn't prepared as quickly as I thought, especially with it being just me another person there but it was fine. Overall the drink was just okay. It wasn't bad but wasn't anything crazy either. Possibly tasted a little watered down. It is nice that there's a boba place at the mall now if you're craving some while shopping. Though I personally would wait to grab some elsewhere.

Looking to hydrate yourself with something sweet in NCM? Tea monks is where it's at. This boba spot offers many options for your bubble tea hydration needs. I usually hang out for my boba teas in central San Diego, I was happy to find this spot when I went shopping at the North County Mall. I was pleasantly surprised to see different flavors I've never heard of before so my friend I tried some of them. We tried the Mango Lychee Milk Tea and the Green Thai Tea! Both of them were absolutely delish. However, I tried my lychee milk tea with the balls and didn't really like them as I thought I would. Boba balls are always best when ordering bubble tea! If you're here reading this review, what are you waiting for? Try it out.

Love love Tea Monks! Love all their flavors but my favorite is the taro. My go to spot every time I'm at the mall!

Fast service. Tasty drinks. Refreshing. Relaxing in the shopping mall drinking up my mango lychee milk tea. The iced coconut taro was ok too.

So good! Boba does not taste like rubber and plastic. It's soft and chewy and delicious!

And when mine came up, it was lovely but not right. It was a cold mocha. They remade it. It was just a wee annoying, especially since I was coming here with the hopes of a mind blowing experience. The coffee was fine. The staff seem to know the local regulars and chat them up appropriately. The seating it still hard and uncomfortable. I'll try again one more time to see if hey flip my bippy. So far two stars for they way they interacted with other. One star for the pastry and the coffee mis up and late service was a - of stars. And my picky pastry folks (she knows who she is) would say it's not a true croissant, as there are cuts across the pastry... but it's buttery and flaky..

So we checked Yelp for the next best thing nearby and found the "Sunny Side Kitchen". I'm not a vegetarian, but my Vegan Panini (with a pickle slice and fresh fruit cup on the side) was wonderful. That freshly baked sourdough bread sandwich was so juicy some avocado squirted out of an air hole in the bread onto my shirt. Luckily water was nearby to quickly wipe away any future stain. Recommendation: Wear a napkin on your shirt. ; ) p.s. It wasn't crowded for a Tuesday lunch; and owner Kate added great conversation and promoted neighboring "Esco Gelatto" as a good place for dessert, but we were too full. We'll save room next time.

It's a cute, casual mom and pop breakfast/lunch joint that specializes in paninis and salads. The restaurant is tiny inside. They have a few tables for dining in but they are really close together. I would say it would be best to pick up and to go. You can order at the counter but it seems most people use the QR code on the table to order online. Our paninis were good and I enjoyed the seasoned cheese herb crunch on the sourdough but the food is overpriced. A full panini is $18-23 and comes only with a tiny sample sized cup of fruit. The drinks are $6. The panini also had minimal chicken and filling so most of my bites were of bread. For those prices, I would expect at least a decent side such as a salad or chips. Also the service is minimal where you order online, you bus your own plates, and when asked for water I get a tiny cup for dining in- so asking for tip on top of these prices (over $25 per person) is hard to justify especially in Escondido.

However this location was a 180 experience from Carlsbad. I order the iced mint espresso drink. I noticed the first time I had this drink they filled the cup to the top with ice which gives you less of your drink you're paying for. So I asked the girl to give me less ice. She said they couldn't do that. When asked why , her response was because that's not how they are made. We sat there going back and forth for a moment me asking why I just can't get less ice, then she said because the liquid won't fill the cup up to the top if they do less ice. But offered to top it off with water to fill it. We seemed to be getting no where so I just said make it however you guys normally make it then. She then proceeds to talk about me in front of me to the barista as they kept looking at me and laughing like I was an idiot to request less ice. Not a great second experience. My drink tasted very watered down. Next time I visit I'll happily drive to Carlsbad where they seemed to care about how you wanted your drink made to make sure you like it.
