I was excited to try this boba place because it was open late (11pm) on a hot night but there were a couple things that made this experience less desirable compared to other places. First of all, it was BLAZING HOT inside like the heater was on. Nobody wants to come into a boba store and sweat. Also your poor employees who have to work in that heat. Please turn on your AC. Second, their drink sizes are definitely smaller than other places so their prices seem higher. Between the cup being filled half way with ice and then a layer of boba at the bottom, there was minimal drink to enjoy. On the positive side, the girls working there were friendly and helpful. Super friendly service here and the bubble milk teas are delicious. The consistency of the boba is usually perfect and the tea quality is excellent. We like the regular Kung Fu milk tea with bubbles. Haven't been here for awhile as there are so many boba shops around now. This place has always had great variety of drinks here but the drinks were way too sweet for me. I don't remember if it was always this sweet. We should have ordered them 50-70% sweet. We ordered the peach milk tea with boba, KF milk green tea with boba, , mango creamsicle with boba, and mango slush with mango jelly. The boba was chewy and had a nice bounce. The best drink we ordered was the KF milk green tea because it wasn't as sweet as the others. Seriously the other drinks tasted like straight up sugar! First time at this location and although my honeydew milk tea was good, the overall visit was just okay. Tried ordering on the kiosk when an employee noticed it wasn't working so he took our order. Young kid, seemed like he didn't want be there, especially because now we have to go thru him to order instead of the kiosk. Ugh, I can rant about this place all day long. They get me through my nights. I can successfully pull all-nighters to finish projects. The caffeine you get from Kung Fu Tea is far more superior to the morning drip coffees, as they utilize the Gongfu method to brew the perfect cup of tea. I didn't know much about this method until my husband told me. The innovative flavors and the non-dairy milk powders is why I stay loyal. Wintermelon milk green tea is absolutely the GOAT. If it's made in person, you can select 30%, extra ice. It's PERF for me. I tried doing 0% before but they didn't let due to natural sweetness. However, for convenience, 70% sweetness (the minimum) is only available through the KFT app and that sugar level works well enough for me. My secondary choices are the Taro Milk Green Tea or the Honey Oolong Milk Tea. The coffee series is subpar....it's good, but not that good. I'm a coffee fiend but they leave a rather weird aftertaste. The slushes are rather nice if you fancy a tropical flavor, like mango. And I recommend steering clear of the Thai Teas. However, I'm quite bias because I'm Thai and would only drink the "real deal" but this is just their rendition of it. I'm aware they revamped their recipe, but both the old and their new recipe still didn't make the cut for me. Maybe it does well in a pinch for cravings, who knows. In all, I recommend getting the Wintermelon Milk GT for your first time if you're looking to get hooked. OPT OUT OF TOPPINGS!!! Instead, get the full drink and savor the drink! For example, if you get the boba, it changes the flavor too much and makes it unbearably sweet. Their boba is kind of floral-y and honey-like, it kind of melts into whatever you drink so imo get the drink by itself first. If you like it enough, then drop by again the next day and get it with boba. I like aloe jelly but again, the topping has some "flavor" that changes the overall drink, and may ruin it for some. read more

I came here with my cousin one night and was very happy to find out that Kung Fu Tea uses Lactaid for their dairy drinks because most Asians are lactose intolerant. How did I not know that?! Second time here and to be honest, if you are desperate for a boba fix and it's the closest or most convenient place, then it is not bad. If you have choices though, this would probably be one of the few last on the list I would choose to stop for boba milk tea etc. Downloaded their app to get a free boba just to find out its for next visit. Although still decided to use their app and order drinks because I saw another deal for a free pistachio milk tea with minimum $15 order. Ordered over $15 but no discount applied when i added the pistachio drink. So thought maybe i need to claim in person. Went in person just for them to say i need to get it through the app. Sigh. Told them it didn't applied and all they could say was oh and chuckle. Was expecting them to honor it with proof we ordered over $15, but nope. Didn't want to bother pushing it because it was literally 3 employees who look like they're in HS and didn't want to give them a hard time and left it. Wintermelon juice was generic. The item that looked all fancy from pics called the Cat noir cocoa cataclysm that looked soo yummy didn't look anything like the picture and tasted nothing but sugar with milk on crack! There was cocoa sprinkled on top which were doted clumps of powder everywhere and it was seriously meh. For the cost also, there are much more better places. Again, for a quick fix, it's still good. It you don't like things too sweet, seriously consider getting less sweet as even at 50% it taste like regular (in my opinion of course) read more

When I saw the bathroom it totally killed my appetite for boba. The toilet is difficult to flush and was thus unflushed and there was dried dirtiness on the seat. The bathroom also feels gross overall so you don't really want to stay in there. They say you can tell the level of cleanliness of a food establishment from its bathroom. The drinks here are average, my winter melon milk tea was are almost as good as daboba's green milk tea (which also isn't that good, but the rancho Bernardo / Carmel mountain area is missing good boba spots). The drinks themselves were reasonably priced and pretty good. We enjoyed sitting outside though would recommend a trash can either outside or by the door. Cocoa Cream Wow Cap with Milk Cap: 1/5 I asked for a brown sugar black tea that I saw when I walked in and the cashier told me that they only had like a milk only version so I got that instead. As I walked out, I did see it again and realized she played me lol. The first very odd thing was that the boba was very hot. I know most places keep their boba warm so it doesn't seize up, but this was like almost boiling and made my whole drink lukewarm. The boba itself was a true felony. You would think that the boba would be soft and fresh since it was so hot, but mixed in with slightly overcooked pieces were balls that were either too old or undercooked. The center of the boba were like pebbles/uncooked pasta so I couldn't even finish the drink. The milk cap was okay though, slightly too runny for my taste. I do not recommend. read more

The drinks here are inconsistent and not as creamy as other locations. Our drink was supposed to be done at 4:12 PM (ordered through the app) and arrived right on time and STILL HAD TO WAIT. I was also NOT GREETED at all upon arrival. THE DRINK: Jasmine Green milk tea with boba. The boba was super HARD and inedible. It wasn't cooked properly. The drink was OK. I keep coming back here thinking it'll get better and I'm always DISAPPOINTED. It seems like these guys are going through some growing pains being that it's a new location. It's located next to the Carmel Mountain Best Pizza and Brew.. in between Bev Mo and Krispy Kremes. The parking lot there isn't great but not too bad. It can get busy on weekends or after school hours. The drinks are standard.. a mix of milk tea, fruity, and coffee based drinks. The boba itself is not great.. but the drink will satiate a boba/milk tea itch. They did their best during covid times.. but overall it's just an average boba spot. Service is generally your local hs kids.. they can be nice.. but sometimes when the orders are mixed up during busy moments they are still learning how to handle the stress of the environment. Every time I have gotten boba from here it's soft on the outside and hard in the middle. Came here with friends, and it was an overall good experience. The place was BUSY but we didn't have to wait too long. They also have a self checkout option for credit card to the right of the register if you didn't want to wait as long and the menu was easy to manage. I've also pre-ordered on the app before and that was easy. Boba here was extra chewy today which for me was a good thing! Due to the heat wave in the area it was perfect time to get boba tea and I love everything mango. So I ordered the mango slush that already had jellies in the drink and my fiancé had the Oreo slush and ordered it more Oreo. They do have outdoor seating but due to the heat everyone was inside but the cashier was helpful and able to hear our order. The shop is cute, good music, nice table availability, clean. Which is why you get two stars. But the product...people that know real milk tea know flavor. How are they getting away without flavor? I purchased a classic Taro and it had no resemblance of taro in it. I've purchased way better Taro in worst places for a better price at that. Don't skimp out on better ingredients.
