We tried the mango lemonade with mango popping boba as a topping, and caramel creme with Oreo crumbs as a topping. The service was overall quick from ordering to picking up our drinks. This was a teaspoon stand at a baseball stadium, so the place itself was small and a quick to go. I'm not sure if a teaspoon regular location would have more options. My drink itself was good! I always saw this chain on social media and was excited they offer their banana matcha in SD! I ordered the banana matcha royale, double matcha and strawberry colada smoothie with boba and no jam. The drinks were all on the sweeter side, but the double matcha was perfect. My mom liked the smoothie taste and boba quality but said it was too sweet. The banana matcha royale also was pretty sweet (maybe my fault for ordering 100% sugar) and I wasn't a fan of the banana pieces and the banana flavor was too overpowering. I had already left and started driving away when I took the first sip of my drink... otherwise I would have asked if they could make me a different drink or refund me. No allergy issues. Chose flavors where didn't need to use blender. Lychee was tasty did half sugar. Would get again me and daughter liked it. Passionfruit was very tart with 50percent sugar. Came here on a rainy day for some boba and I came just at the right time! The boba was so soft and fresh so that was definitely a highlight of this visit. This location is near work, so we usually pick up during lunchtime. My coworkers like their fruit drinks like Lychee on Lychee, Guava Sunset, and the Grasshopper. Came back here and was a little bummed about the lack of flexibility of the drinks regarding their sugar level. Tried to order the taro lover for a friend but was told I couldn't adjust the sugar level because the drink was "pre-made" despite the drink being "very sweet" according to the employee. Then tried to order the the strawberry colada smoothie and was also told I couldn't adjust the sweetness. Ordered the guava sunset and made it less sweet but it was still very sweet so hard to imagine what it would've been at full sweetness. It seems like some drinks here allow you to customize sweetness and other drinks don't but it's not denoted on the menu and I might've just gotten unlucky with the drinks I chose. Still, felt it was a tad awkward and unusual since most competitors allow increasing options for customizing your drink to your preferences. Ended up driving to a local boba shop 10 minutes away that allowed me to order similar drinks at the sweetness levels my party wanted. Just came in and the service was very quick. I ordered the Black Sugar Assam: "Creamy rich assam black tea infused with our signature black sugar boba." When I got the drink the boba was very warm which is good because I got regular ice. I mixed it up and the drink was sweet with a deep flavor. It almost tasted roasted in a way. I found it an enjoyable drink. The boba itself was soft and chewy, the perfect texture. I only recommend mixing it when you're ready to drink because the ice in the drink will make the boba chewier and hard throughout the time. (Similar to if you put your leftover drink in the fridge, lol). The boba straw is a bit weird and thin. But you're still able to puncture the lid so it's okay. Interior of the store was really clean and they had several tables inside and outside. The menu was easy to read and they had much more drinks this time compared to the other time I went. I can happily admit I come to Teaspoon in 4S Ranch at least once a week. I usually go for a Classic Thai Tea with Lactose-Free Cream (Pictured x2) but I've tried the Assam Black Tea, the Red Bull Sunset, the Mango Funtime, and the Ladybug with Heart Jellies. I've never tried something I didn't like from here. I wish I had more pictures. For their seasonal and new drinks they usually offer samples which is great. I tried the Ube Astra yesterday and it was really good. I always end up sticking to the Classic Thai Tea but that's not to say I don't take a sip of my friend's drink sometimes! It's bright in here and very kid-friendly. Toward the entrance they have some activities for kids if they want to use it. The people that work here are so kind and very efficient. After a mixing it and taking a couple of sips I thought to myself... that's it?! Overhyped. I didn't love it nor did I hate it, everything was average/mediocre. Definitely not in a rush to come back and would probably not order this again and if I do come back look for something else to try on the menu. Loved the drinks, not the price. I came here with my daughter because we wanted to try a new boba place. I got the Dirty Ube, $6.50, and upgraded to oat milk for $1.00 extra. They ran out of honey boba that came with the drink, so we had egg pudding added instead. The drinks were good and customer service was good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.
